  1. The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today - episode 11 was definitely the funniest one yet, pretty much laughed non-stop from start to finish. Though sometimes realizing how relatable Saku is makes me want to cry Level 1 Demon Lord & One Room Hero is still my hidden gem of the season, but this definitely deserves an honorable mention.
  2. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around
  3. Current status: really need to clean the house, but don’t wanna

      Animedragon

I can relate to that. There's just SO many things that are much more interesting to do.

  4. Saturday afternoon here in the US This is the site I use for anime episode countdowns https://www.livechart.me/anime/11461 Even if you change to your timezone in the above link, there’s always a couple hours delay before CR has it.
  5. short term: Pluto (Astro Boy reimagined by Naoki Urasawa of Monster fame) Longer term: Fate Strange/Fake lots of other sequels I plan to watch this upcoming season (Dr. Stone, Spy x Family, Reincarnated as a Slime OVA, Goblin Slayer, Ancient Magus Bride, Shield Hero, Eminence in Shadow, Faraway Paladin, Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) but my expectations are more reserved. And of course JJK’s Shibuya Arc will carry over.
  6. Like Mushishi where the creatures aren’t traditional yokai, but they have a similar feel to them. Or stepping away from asian culture, you can see the influences of Beowulf & Arthurian legends in J.R.R. Tolkein’s works, but he basically “created” a distinct mythology that has been referenced and copied over & over in RPGs & fantasy anime.
  7. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around. Since you like Attack on Titan, I recommend 86 & Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Noein is an older series that is similar to Summertime Rendering. For drama & romance I recommend the Fruits Basket remake (2019-2021).
  8. Not my go to for destressing, but <shrugs> If you want a more comedic/slice of life style of carnage, maybe try Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan
  9. Happy Birthday I advise against going fishing today & if you find a ring, don’t pick it up.
  10. Then you should watch When They Cry (Higurashi) & Saga of Tanya the Evil
  11. Definitely Yuru (Laidback) Camp. Nothing but positive vibes from OP to ED
  12. Decided to give the 2nd season of Tokyo Revengers a try.
  13. It’s definitely one of the more enjoyable shonen anime for me personally, though I wasn’t much of a fan to begin with (started liking it better once Senku met Kohaku & the other villagers). Feel like the first half of New World was a bit of a tease, just setting up what’s to come so looking forward to the continuation starting next month.
  14. @Animedragon Happy Birthday If blowing out all the candles proves to be too much of a challenge, Nagisa is happy to help Dang, how’d I miss this? Hope you had a good one, Viruxx
  15. Trailer for new Castlevania debuting on Netflix at the end of the month
  16. Honestly my usual reaction to the term “Big 3” is to roll my eyes as the defining characteristics seem to be shonen & episode counts in the hundreds, neither of which is a strong selling point for me. My Hero Academia probably comes the closest to me, even though it’s largely fell out of favor within the anime community. Understandable as seasons 4 & 5 were both disappointments for me, but season 6 actually got me hyped again & seems like the end game may actually be in sight (hopefully within 2 more seasons). I’m enjoying JJK2, but not sure how many seasons that would last. My interest & appreciation for Demon Slayer sadly diminishes with each following season. As far as what I consider exceptional titles that have the potential to keep going for considerably longer, I’d probably say the Fate franchise & Vinland Saga.
  17. As far as non-anime, I think Mel Blanc & Tress MacNeille get top honors, though special mention to Mark Hamill’s portrayal of The Joker. Other instantly recognizable voices: Tim Curry, John Astin, Don Adams, Hans Conreid & Paul Lynde.
  18. If you think tanuki are weird/confusing, imagine an anime that combines them with rakugo (traditional Japanese storytelling as an art form & form of entertainment) https://myanimelist.net/anime/49533/Uchi_no_Shishou_wa_Shippo_ga_Nai yes, I actually watched the whole thing. Definitely odd, but also kind of charming & even a little educational about Japanese culture. Butt don’t even get me started on kappa
  19. Again, really recognizable. I remember her as Lina Inverse from Slayers & I know she had several roles in Pokemon. And another iconic seiyuu
  20. She’s also in Zombie Land Saga, though her character’s dialogue was just grunts & growls And apparently she’s still at it, voicing Mei Mei In JJK
  21. 358 episodes show up under Sgt. Frog on the Crunchyroll app. But I know that some titles aren’t available outside the US, what’s your region? Also, I don’t know how many of those eps are dubbed. I just checked Funimation & they have 78 episodes, all of which I believe are dubbed.
  22. Japanese Female Category: Saori Hayami. Her most distinctive voice is a combination of sexy/seductive & dangerous/crazy (Yor -Spy x Family; Shinobu - Demon Slayer; Yumeko - Kakegurui). But she’s also the voice of several other favorites of mine without me being aware at first (Ameri - Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun; Fubuki - One Punch Man; Leanan Sidhe - Ancient Magus Bride) Japanese Male Category: Kenjiro Tsuda. A very distinctive & recognizable voice. Usually portrays villains or at least characters with questionable morals, yakuza, etc. (Kaiba - Yugioh; Joker - Fire Force; Overhaul - My Hero Academia; Ogata - Golden Kamuy; Nanami - Jujutsu Kaisen; Tatsu - Way of the Househusband) American Male Category: Steve Blum. I generally prefer subtitled over dubbed anime, but another recognizable voice with iconic roles (Spike - Cowboy Bebop; Roger - Big O; T.OM. - Toonami host; Mugen - Samurai Champloo; Wolverine - X-men anime; Onizuka - G.T.O.) American Female Category: Wendee Lee. I generally prefer subtitled over dubbed anime, but another recognizable voice with iconic roles (Faye - Cowboy Bebop; Bulma - Dragonball; Vanessa - Robotech; Kiyone - Tenchi Muyo; Haruhi Suzumiya; Yuri - Dirty Pair; Nadia - Secret of Blue Water)
  23. It’s not unusual for me to follow 12-15 weekly airing series at a time. Though if a series has a complex storyline I’ll binge it or at least watch episodes in batches. My MAL profile is the most up to date record of my viewing habits.
  24. Congrats I recently hit my 5 year milestone here, but not really that active anymore.
