  1. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around. My fave romantic drama is the Fruits Basket remake. For something a bit more obscure maybe Insomniacs After School. Most recent was probably Kowloon Generic Romance. I usually prefer romcoms though.
  2. Pretty much the whole cast of Batman - The Animated Series: Mark Hamill (Joker), Kevin Conroy (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Arleen Sorkin (Harley Quinn), Richard Moll (Harvey Dent/Two-Face), Roddy McDowall (Mad Hatter), Ron Perlman (Clayface) As far as multiple tv/movie roles, can’t forget to mention Mel Blanc & Frank Oz.
  3. No question Crunchyroll has the largest library of titles, but Hidive has some I enjoy as well: Azumanga Daioh • Beautiful Bones • Danmachi (Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon) • Insomniacs After School • Flying Witch • From Bureaucrat to Villainess • Ippon Again • Kino’s Journey (2003) • K-On • Made in Abyss • Oshi no Ko • Princess Tutu • Rock is a Lady’s Modesty • The Dangers in My Heart • The Eminence in Shadow . Currently watching Bad Girl, not sure if I’ll watch 2nd season of Call of the Night.

  5. Saori Hayami: Yor (Spy x Family) • Shinobu (Demon Slayer) • Yumeko (Kakegurui) • Ameri (Welcome to Demon School, Irumakun) Junichi Suwabe: Sakuna (Jujutsu Kaisen) • Eraserhead (My Hero Academia) • Greed (Fullmetal Alchemist) Takehito Koyasu: Dio (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) • Roswaal (Re:Zero) • Uncle/Ojisan (Uncle From Another World) • Zeke (Attack on Titan Satoshi Hino: Ainz al Goown Overlord) • Rengoku (Demon Slayer) • Leonhart (Sacrificial Princess & The King of Beasts) • Fel (Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill) Kenjiro Tsuda: Kaiba (Yugioh) • Joker (Fire Force) • Overhaul (My Hero Academia) • Nanami (Jujutsu Kaisen) Rie Takahashi: Megumin (Konosuba) • Emilia (Re:Zero) • Takagi (Teasing Master Takagi)
  6. In addition to my weekly seasonals: Over the next couple weeks planning to finish up Bullet Bullet & See You Tomorrow at the Food Court. 2nd Mononoke movie is supposed to go up on Netflix on the 14th. After those, will probably start The Summer Hikaru Died. Planning to wait for season end to watch/finish: Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus & To Be Hero X.

  8. Gonna attempt to watch Takopi's Original Sin this weekend (reputation is it’s really dark & traumatic)
  9. 14 eps in I think I’m done with it, even if we are still in the middle of a fight. For the power level of these guys to make sense there would need to be quirks like in MHA. Plus it’s humor and feelz rarely land for me. Honestly the only part I can say I enjoyed was the episode & a half that focused on Sakamoto & Boiled. When it comes to action I’m already watching Kaiju No. 8 & Dandadan plus still need to check out Gachiakuta & Tougen Anki. And if I get an itch for assassins, I can resume Hotel Inhumans. So far it’s gives me enough chuckles to keep watching. Hope Asunaro & Maki continue to be recurring characters as it adds a bit more variety to Nagumo & Mashiro’s schtick
  10. The werewolves vs dwarves storyline sounds like one of the subplots in Overlord season 4, but it came out in 2022 which doesn’t fit the rest of your description
  11. Battle Angel Alita definitely deserves more than the 2 ep OVA it got in the 90s. Beautiful Bones - Sakurako’s Investigation ended just as it was revealed there was a mastermind connecting some of the cases. And we don’t know the circumstances surrounding Sakurako’s brother’s disappearance/death. Other anime that “ended” with unresolved mysteries/storylines: Shadows House, Gleipnir, Mieruko-chan, Land of the Lustrous, Kemono Jihen, Spriggan.
  12. I’ve been using streaming sites for less than 10 years & IMO it definitely beats blind buying physical media. At least now when I buy a series I know that I enjoy it.
  13. I watched a couple episodes of season 1 before setting it aside. Not exactly feeling FOMO Though I actually kinda enjoy some isekai that don’t take themselves all that seriously, notably Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill (looking forward to season 2 in the fall). The only isekai I’m currently watching is Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra which is kinda like Overlord, but more comedic (so far anyway). And 2nd season of Reincarnated as the 7th Prince which is isekai adjacent. Favorites from the current season so far are sequels of Kaiju No. 8 & Dandadan.
  14. HiDive: Rock is a Lady’s Modesty Crunchyroll: Girls Band Cry both are about all female rock bands with an emphasis on rebellion against societal & family expectations. while it seems to be the minority opinion, I enjoyed Rock is a Lady’s Modesty more. Ah, guess I’ve been doing this wrong The CR equivalent to Danmachi? Maybe Re:Zero. Both are fantasy series with competing factions with the MC acting as the champion for a female head (Bell/Hestia, Subaru/Emilia), but also becoming popular with a number of other female characters. Both have multiple seasons.
  15. I hadn’t watched the original & wound up setting aside the remake after 3 eps. Seems like a monster-of-a-week formula & despite having a demon hand that grants him supernatural powers and being dedicated to protecting his students, the MC acts pretty bumbling most of the time (might be like a Vash from Trigun situation, but not sure). But yeah not impressed with what I saw & doubt I’ll watch anymore. I currently have the Yaiba remake on hold, but intend to resume it once I have a better idea what new shows I ‘ll stick with from this season. As you noted, the animation is top-notch. The humor can be kinda silly, but it’s nostalgic (reminds me of pre-Z Dragonball) & it’s a lot of fun. I also started watching Leviathan on Netflix, not great but still pretty entertaining. Hoping to finish it this weekend.
  16. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around.
  17. Literature was my favorite & best subject. I used to read alot, but sadly now I struggle too much with brainfog when I try in my spare time. I actually enjoyed gym, though I wasn’t an athletic person. Least favorite was Government & more advanced mathematics (trig & calculus ). I actually work with numbers all day, but mostly on an algebraic level.
  18. Welcome Hope you find things that interest you here and decide to stick around
  19. Not the game, but the song still really stands out (for me anyway)
