  6. Fruits Basket 2019-2021 (personal favorite) Re:Life (though the relationship with the greatest impact for me isn’t the focus until the OVA episodes) Recovery of an MMO Junkie (romcom) Kobato (magic girl aspects) The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent (isekai/female MC, 2nd season upcoming) Ai Yori Aoshi (the central relationship is engaging, but unfortunately they kept introducing female characters & fanservice elements until it frequently felt like a harem) My Dress-up Darling (romcom/fanservice, 2nd season upcoming) Tomo-chan is a Girl (romcom) Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunnygirl Senpai (students/paranormal) Kaguya-sama: Love is War (romcom) Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It (romcom, recommend season 1 only) The Ancient Magus Bride (dark fantasy) Karin/Chibi Vampire (romcom/vampires) Sugar Apple Fairy Tale (fantasy, part 2 upcoming) Darling in the Franxx (scifi/giant robots) Steins Gate (scifi/time travel) Currently watching: My Love Story With Yamada at Level 999 • Insomniacs After School • Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts there’s more, but these are the notable ones that came to mind
  7. Twice & Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia Shin, Noi, Fujita & Ebisu from Dorohedoro And of course these guys
  8. I’m guessing it was the original Muteking I’ve never seen the original, but did watch the remake that came out a couple years ago
  9. First dub - Galaxy Express 999 (Roger Corman version) when I was a pre-teen. First Subtitled - Project A-ko (original) when I was in my 20s First in theater/cinema: My Hero Academia: Two Heroes
  10. Sesshomaru: “Sorry, dude, but I don’t twerk”
  11. What do you call the day before Ash Wednesday ? Fat Buu’s day
  12. Welcome Hope you find things that interest you here & decide to stick around. I also enjoyed Paranoia Agent & Patema Inverted. And your profile page background reminds me of one of my favorite anime quotes/subtitles
  13. Same here. Probably the closest for me that I still have some interest in would be My Hero Academia (season 6 ended earlier this year but that still is only 138 episodes, not including the OVAs & movies). I watched around 150 episodes of One Piece before burning out on it early in the Skypeia arc. Generally speaking I feel like at least 25 episodes, but less than 100 is the ideal length for a series.
  14. Welcome to the forums, hope you find things to interest you here & you decide to stick around. I’m mainly into anime & animation. As far as series you might like: Steins Gate • Monster • Shiki • Mushishi • Angels of Death • Paranoia Agent • Boogiepop Phantom ( & the more recent remake/expansion) • Higurashi (When They Cry) • ID Invaded • Beautiful Bones • Raven of the Inner Palace • XXXholic • Dororo
  15. The Takagi movie will be available on HiDive beginning June 18th https://www.hidive.com/news/2023/6/7/get-ready-for-teasing-master-takagi-san-the-movie-streaming-premiere-on-hidive-in-june

  17. I think it’s worth watching the first season of the tv series at least, you can make up your mind whether to watch beyond afterwards. I’ve watched the first 3 of the 5 seasons & my biggest complaint is the humor & filler episodes got pretty repetitive the longer it went on. The larger storylines could get fairly dark though. Part of my anime bucketlist is to rewatch the first 3 seasons (subtitled this time) & finish up seasons 4&5. The movie & OVAs are all (with the exception of the last one) prequels of the tv series & aren’t necessary to watch unless you really like the humor, since that’s the focus. There’s a bit of a running joke that Lina’s rival/traveling companion (Naga) is related to one of the characters from the tv series. I don’t believe it’s ever officially confirmed, but an arc in one of the final seasons makes it all but certain I’ve heard.
  18. never underestimate the power of the twin-tail
  19. started off rough, but has grown on me to become one of the few fanservicey harem dramadies I actually enjoy. Largely because despite having 5 girls, only 2 seem to have a genuine romantic interest in the male lead. And even though she’s not one of them, Ami has become one of my favorite genki baka characters as her antics consistently crack me up
