  1. I haven't taken time to sit down and read a proper book recently, but I last had Throne of Glass open and started that. I mostly read online these days, but I want to try and get back into hard copy novels again.
  2. I like the idea of Fox girls the most. I love intelligent women who have a sense of humor, so a Fox girl type seems closest to that.
  3. For me, I love food pretty much period, which is why I carry some extra weight around on the belly. So, gonna be kind over the top list I think. Snacks: Cucumber slices, tomato slices, carrot sticks, raw broccoli on a snack tray with some ranch dressing and some cheese. Fruits are red grapes, pears, fresh pineapple, and sliced peaches in juice. American foods: Burgers from Smash Burger, Subway sandwiches as wraps, Philly Cheesesteak subs, Wings (typically original, teriyaki, sweet[honey] BBQ, or fried chicken style), and Italian subs from Cheba Hut. Mexican: Fajitas, Carne Asada, Fideo, tacos of all kinds, tostadas, tamales, and enchiladas. Chinese: Lo Mein, Curry Chicken, Egg Rolls, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and Moo Shu Pork and chicken. Mongolian grill and stir frys Japanese: Gyoza, authentic Ramen, Udon, and Miso soup. And Hibachi style foods. I really can't eat sushi, physically ill every time. Wanna try SOOO much more foods. Italian: Pastas(typically alfredo and spaghetti), all types of Pizza, Chicken Primavera, Lasagna, ans italian breadsticks. Open to trying pretty much anything once. Don't do well with much seafood aside from fish like Tilapia, tuna, Salmon, and fish sticks. And I like shrimp when it's well prepared.
  4. I was born next to the beach in Oceanside, CA, grew up in Amarillo, TX, went to high school in Golden, CO, first attempt at college in Tempe, AZ, and went back to the Denver, CO area. I love the scenery and complete insanity that is the weather here. I would love to spend some time in the Philippines cause I have cousins who are half Filipino and who have family there. And of course Japan, I would love to tour some of the game development studios there. See some of the things depicted in anime and see the difference between Japanese Baseball and American Baseball.
  5. I kind of wish that would work out for me. I try to show anime to people I know that aren't already into it and it really never pans out.
  6. I honestly wish I had continued playing baseball while I was in public schools. I played until '98 when I was 12, but I stopped because my mom couldn't play for 3 kids in sports and I was the eldest, so I just stopped. I also gave up Kempo about 8 or so years ago because I wasn't making enough and doing Martial Arts while being a graveyard clerk at a 7-Eleven was harsh.
  7. The storyline mode is the most intriguing aspect that I seen released so far, honestly. Brawl really didn't seem like it branched out from the Melee setup at all. I didn't play it much, but I honestly felt that the control systems was designed in a rush and wasn't as smooth as it could have been. I'm hoping that they've got a good system setup and I'm kinda hyped about a possible skill tree system in the Smash universe.
  8. I honestly prefer Sony and Nintendo systems. Nintendo for the Zelda franchise, the Pokemon franchise, the Metroid franchise, and some of the Mario titles. Sony just tends to get the best software library out of everything. I love nearly everything Square-Enix, so all of the titles like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, and some of the non-francishse titles are usual purchases for me. Though FF and KH usually get Nintendo handheld treatments too. By the way, has anyone seen the announcement of a remaster of The World Ends With You for Switch? I like MMOs so I play those on PC.
  9. Sorta binged a new series called Anima Yell. Is it binging if there're only 4 episodes?
  10. Has anyone watched the new trailer for the Storyline mode for the latest Smash Bros. game? It looks really cool. There's what looks like skill trees and a Mario Bros Worlds Style map. Anyone wanna discuss?
  11. I picked up Eromanga Sensei again, also started a newer one called Ms. Vampire who lives in My Neighborhood.

Sorry for a MASSIVE post, but I've been playing games for over 25 years and I've loved about 90% of everything I've played. I am heartbroken at the lack of newer titles though.
  14. I loved RPing on forums. I think almost 40% of my posts on the Anime-Forums I was a member on were dedicated to RPs that were being run. I actually had two RPs I created myself going and was co-running a couple more with really good friends from back then. I honestly miss talking to those three. Anyways, I am always ready to roll in a new RP at anytime. I have a folder full of characters I created for and because of RPs. The whole thing is really why I've become a character and world driven story holic. I am also already involved in a D&D campaign currently. I have played MMOs for years, the biggest ones that I remember are Rose Online, Flyff, Guild Wars 1 & 2, and Mabinogi.
  15. It really depends. Comic wise, most of DC's characters seem deeper, have more developed personalities and such. Flash, Batman, Diana, and most of Batman's villains are more realistic to me. I love a lot of the Marvel Multiverse. The worlds and planes and Universes they write are amazing to me. The relationships between the characters are so entangled and complex that they seem real via their connections to each other. The dynamics between them are amazingly well thought out. I am a character and world development philiac as a writer and game designer. Their my ultimate draw any any story of anything. I have not seen either. Until I got into Boku no Hero and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid; I had not watched any anime that had debuted after 2015. Are those two series in the database? I'll take a look at those pages and see if I like the feel I get from the art and the synopsis.
  16. Yeah, that's mostly the issue I had the last time that I got them pierced. At the moment however, it's a lack of funds that prevents me from any kind of cosmetic changes.
  17. Well, I honestly find myself leaning towards shoujo anime most days. But I do love sports and action anime. I love magic anime of all types. My favorite anime are Slayers and Fairy Tail. I also liked Hajime No Ippo and HSD Kenichi. Martial arts is something I love a lot too.
  18. I've had my ears pierced multiple time in my life. I tend to lose all of my earrings so they always tend to heal up. I get really bummed about that. I have exactly one tattoo. It's an homage to my geekiness, as in the infatuation with anime. I actually got the Fairy Tail guild mark tatted on my right forearm. I designed the lines and coloration as well as the idea of a 'shine' on the mark. I just liked the idea of a more 3-dimensional look than a flat color.
  19. My original online/pen name was KaitonLocke. Kaiton I came up with because of my fascination with Japanese names and terms. Kai was the focus mainly, I liked the sound, but the meaning I found, "release" kinda struck a chord with me because I was always angry when I was younger. So release and the word "ton" to quantify the amount of things I was trying to let go. Locke was the surname of a great friend to my family, so I adopted it in creating my writer's persona. Thus the birth of KaitonLocke. Now, as to my current username, Keilyn. Again, my fascination with the way Japanese names and terms sounded brought me to Kei. I have found myself deeply drawn to the Gaelic name Raelynne, so I wanted to find an adaptation of that to suit the new feminine identity that I have come to embrace instead of repressing. I also think that a large part of the attraction to Raelynne stems from Reiko, as in a fandom name for Sailor Mars: Mars Reiko. I was always enamored with her and Jupiter. Their strength, passion, and the inner struggle with their pasts and the hardships they endured always reminded me of some of the things I had to live with in my youth. Anime has been a large source of comfort for me and the identity struggles I've gone through over the years; mostly things like Makoto's issues with her height and the lack of femininity seen by the males she found herself interested in. Sorry for rambling, just put a lot of thought into names. I usually spend more time finding a name for a character than the other aspects of their design.
  20. It's hard for me to give a definitive answer on which I prefer. I have much less experience with digital, but I find that the more I work in digital, the easier it seems to find a cleaner workflow. I still love using graphite and color pencils to work with, but I am still in the middle on this one.
  21. I don't remember which anime got me addicted to this Genre, but I have watched several. Sailor Moon: I started Stars, but have never been able to finish it. I kinda hate how the plot works and Seiya and crew rub me the wrong way. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: I got through A's, but fell off early in Strikers. I really wanna go back to it and watch all of it, cause I loved the stories and the characters. Mai-HiMe and Mai Otome: I agree that HiME is a borderline MG anime, but Otome fit most of the criteria perfectly. I hated the relationship dynamic with Nina's father in the middle of the whole arc of Pedophilia and,ugg no please. Arika's attraction to him pretty much killed the show for me. Kill La Kill: I'm baffled at how this series is qualified as an MG anime, but it seems to be just that. All I can say about this is: WHY DID I WATCH ALL OF IT?!?!?!?!? Most ecchi thing I've ever seen that was so freaking close to the line of Hentai that I am scratching my head why it cleared any kind of censor board in the states. LilPri: Cute lil girls that magically grow up to become Idols. Kinda odd but can't deny the cuteness. Glitter Force: I watched a large portion of this and all I can say about Netflix is: Why would you rename a PreCure series? I think I may have watched other MG series, but I can't recall any other titles. I honestly tried watching Madoka Magica, but couldn't get past the Two Dimentionality of the characters. I watched the first Six episodes, and it fell flat for me.
  22. I'm amazed to say that because of the fact that I went to an art school, most of the "friends" I have adore anime and animated stuff. Most of them were in the school for animation and drew mostly an anime inspired style. I can't seem to keep friends from outside this community, so I have that going for me I suppose. Not like I have tons of friends though. Our biggest thing is we all get together to do things like play Magic or go to conventions. One of them frequently has a booth at Denver Comic Con just about every year. I, myself, use volunteering to be able to go to that same con. I haven't been to Nan Desu Kan in like 9 years though. I miss the atmosphere there. So many amazing Cosplayers.
  23. Game I play most consistently is a mobile game I've played for 4.5 years: Summoners War. PS4 titles: Minecraft, Rocket League, Overwatch, and FFXV. Swtich titles: Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild I play Magic the Gathering like religiously and have a D&D campaign with my best friend and his brother in law whose family I got adopted into and some of said brother's friends and the spouse of one of those friends. I play magic with most of the people of that group online via XMage too. Sunday's are pretty much my game days in all aspects.
  24. I don't get much time to play Minecraft these days, but I did start back when it was in the Alpha release. It's come a long way since then. I am playing on my PS4 these days and I have a world where I have explored like a third of the map just in random spurts. I'm putting together a mine cart system that took hours just to connect all my mine entrances and towers and the one house I've built so far. I also play in a group world with friends from my college where we're trying to build a city that spans like 90% of the whole map and using Japanese architecture to do so. I'm not the planner, but she gave me an island I found that I'm trying to turn into like a super resort. The main feature is a trio of water falls. Two of which I used to turn into a pool. I love building stuff in Minecraft so I really haven't played much outside of creative and peaceful modes.
