  1. Years ago, my Melee main character to play was a split between Roy and Marth. I was top three finisher with a switch off between them in a 30 player tournament back when Melee was only a year or so old. Lately, I couldn't hold a candle to most people because I haven't played any Smash game in years. It'll take me a while to figure out how good I can play Ultimate before I even attempt anything competitive. I also haven't played Mario Kart since like 2015, so yeah. A little out of practice.
  2. I personally love Martial Arts in general. I honestly just want to learn what I can cause it's fun.
  3. I didn't have too much difficulty learning it, but I didn't really stay very long. It's a mixed Martial Art, but only in combining pretty much every Japanese art. The school I was learning was more of a Self Defense oriented style.
  4. Only thing bought for or by me recently was the Path of Fire Expansion for Guild Wars 2. Mounts are extremely cool in this expansion.

    Coding

I have coded in the past, don't get much chance anymore these days. I've learned BASIC, HTML, Java, C++, Javascript, and C#. I started learning basic in high school around 15 years ago. Started on Java after that, but had to quit the courses I was learning that in, picked it back up again while I was learning Game Art and Design at AiC. Javascript was necessary, in learning to script for the Unity Engine, but started working with C# as it was a cleaner language and required fewer lines thus making compiling quicker. Most of the code I learned was for Web Development and designing and developing games. I'm far from a great coder, so I am definitely not any sort of expert. I like the logic and syntax required to learn coding and getting it to work right. No tips really, I had to take a lot of programming logic courses in conjunction with the scripting courses. I have coded a UI system for a game that's kinda still in development. Most of the other code I wrote was phased out, however.
  6. I haven't taken time to sit down and read a proper book recently, but I last had Throne of Glass open and started that. I mostly read online these days, but I want to try and get back into hard copy novels again.
  7. I like the idea of Fox girls the most. I love intelligent women who have a sense of humor, so a Fox girl type seems closest to that.
  8. For me, I love food pretty much period, which is why I carry some extra weight around on the belly. So, gonna be kind over the top list I think. Snacks: Cucumber slices, tomato slices, carrot sticks, raw broccoli on a snack tray with some ranch dressing and some cheese. Fruits are red grapes, pears, fresh pineapple, and sliced peaches in juice. American foods: Burgers from Smash Burger, Subway sandwiches as wraps, Philly Cheesesteak subs, Wings (typically original, teriyaki, sweet[honey] BBQ, or fried chicken style), and Italian subs from Cheba Hut. Mexican: Fajitas, Carne Asada, Fideo, tacos of all kinds, tostadas, tamales, and enchiladas. Chinese: Lo Mein, Curry Chicken, Egg Rolls, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and Moo Shu Pork and chicken. Mongolian grill and stir frys Japanese: Gyoza, authentic Ramen, Udon, and Miso soup. And Hibachi style foods. I really can't eat sushi, physically ill every time. Wanna try SOOO much more foods. Italian: Pastas(typically alfredo and spaghetti), all types of Pizza, Chicken Primavera, Lasagna, ans italian breadsticks. Open to trying pretty much anything once. Don't do well with much seafood aside from fish like Tilapia, tuna, Salmon, and fish sticks. And I like shrimp when it's well prepared.
  9. I was born next to the beach in Oceanside, CA, grew up in Amarillo, TX, went to high school in Golden, CO, first attempt at college in Tempe, AZ, and went back to the Denver, CO area. I love the scenery and complete insanity that is the weather here. I would love to spend some time in the Philippines cause I have cousins who are half Filipino and who have family there. And of course Japan, I would love to tour some of the game development studios there. See some of the things depicted in anime and see the difference between Japanese Baseball and American Baseball.
  10. I kind of wish that would work out for me. I try to show anime to people I know that aren't already into it and it really never pans out.
  11. I honestly wish I had continued playing baseball while I was in public schools. I played until '98 when I was 12, but I stopped because my mom couldn't play for 3 kids in sports and I was the eldest, so I just stopped. I also gave up Kempo about 8 or so years ago because I wasn't making enough and doing Martial Arts while being a graveyard clerk at a 7-Eleven was harsh.
  12. The storyline mode is the most intriguing aspect that I seen released so far, honestly. Brawl really didn't seem like it branched out from the Melee setup at all. I didn't play it much, but I honestly felt that the control systems was designed in a rush and wasn't as smooth as it could have been. I'm hoping that they've got a good system setup and I'm kinda hyped about a possible skill tree system in the Smash universe.
  13. I honestly prefer Sony and Nintendo systems. Nintendo for the Zelda franchise, the Pokemon franchise, the Metroid franchise, and some of the Mario titles. Sony just tends to get the best software library out of everything. I love nearly everything Square-Enix, so all of the titles like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, and some of the non-francishse titles are usual purchases for me. Though FF and KH usually get Nintendo handheld treatments too. By the way, has anyone seen the announcement of a remaster of The World Ends With You for Switch? I like MMOs so I play those on PC.
  14. Sorta binged a new series called Anima Yell. Is it binging if there're only 4 episodes?
  15. Has anyone watched the new trailer for the Storyline mode for the latest Smash Bros. game? It looks really cool. There's what looks like skill trees and a Mario Bros Worlds Style map. Anyone wanna discuss?
  16. I picked up Eromanga Sensei again, also started a newer one called Ms. Vampire who lives in My Neighborhood.

Sorry for a MASSIVE post, but I've been playing games for over 25 years and I've loved about 90% of everything I've played. I am heartbroken at the lack of newer titles though.
  19. I loved RPing on forums. I think almost 40% of my posts on the Anime-Forums I was a member on were dedicated to RPs that were being run. I actually had two RPs I created myself going and was co-running a couple more with really good friends from back then. I honestly miss talking to those three. Anyways, I am always ready to roll in a new RP at anytime. I have a folder full of characters I created for and because of RPs. The whole thing is really why I've become a character and world driven story holic. I am also already involved in a D&D campaign currently. I have played MMOs for years, the biggest ones that I remember are Rose Online, Flyff, Guild Wars 1 & 2, and Mabinogi.
  20. It really depends. Comic wise, most of DC's characters seem deeper, have more developed personalities and such. Flash, Batman, Diana, and most of Batman's villains are more realistic to me. I love a lot of the Marvel Multiverse. The worlds and planes and Universes they write are amazing to me. The relationships between the characters are so entangled and complex that they seem real via their connections to each other. The dynamics between them are amazingly well thought out. I am a character and world development philiac as a writer and game designer. Their my ultimate draw any any story of anything. I have not seen either. Until I got into Boku no Hero and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid; I had not watched any anime that had debuted after 2015. Are those two series in the database? I'll take a look at those pages and see if I like the feel I get from the art and the synopsis.
  21. Yeah, that's mostly the issue I had the last time that I got them pierced. At the moment however, it's a lack of funds that prevents me from any kind of cosmetic changes.
  22. Well, I honestly find myself leaning towards shoujo anime most days. But I do love sports and action anime. I love magic anime of all types. My favorite anime are Slayers and Fairy Tail. I also liked Hajime No Ippo and HSD Kenichi. Martial arts is something I love a lot too.
  23. I've had my ears pierced multiple time in my life. I tend to lose all of my earrings so they always tend to heal up. I get really bummed about that. I have exactly one tattoo. It's an homage to my geekiness, as in the infatuation with anime. I actually got the Fairy Tail guild mark tatted on my right forearm. I designed the lines and coloration as well as the idea of a 'shine' on the mark. I just liked the idea of a more 3-dimensional look than a flat color.
  24. My original online/pen name was KaitonLocke. Kaiton I came up with because of my fascination with Japanese names and terms. Kai was the focus mainly, I liked the sound, but the meaning I found, "release" kinda struck a chord with me because I was always angry when I was younger. So release and the word "ton" to quantify the amount of things I was trying to let go. Locke was the surname of a great friend to my family, so I adopted it in creating my writer's persona. Thus the birth of KaitonLocke. Now, as to my current username, Keilyn. Again, my fascination with the way Japanese names and terms sounded brought me to Kei. I have found myself deeply drawn to the Gaelic name Raelynne, so I wanted to find an adaptation of that to suit the new feminine identity that I have come to embrace instead of repressing. I also think that a large part of the attraction to Raelynne stems from Reiko, as in a fandom name for Sailor Mars: Mars Reiko. I was always enamored with her and Jupiter. Their strength, passion, and the inner struggle with their pasts and the hardships they endured always reminded me of some of the things I had to live with in my youth. Anime has been a large source of comfort for me and the identity struggles I've gone through over the years; mostly things like Makoto's issues with her height and the lack of femininity seen by the males she found herself interested in. Sorry for rambling, just put a lot of thought into names. I usually spend more time finding a name for a character than the other aspects of their design.
