  1. Perfect, sounds good to me. Thank you for the input. I'm a sucker for a straightforward world, wouldn't it be nice if real life was that easy.
  2. You love Kikyo too 😍

Id love to cosplay her one day

Hopefully in a far less tragic way, and in more of a love for beautiful kimonos and long bows sort of way - but no judgement here 😊

A bit of both to be honest but it's okay,  just part of life for some people.

  3. Hey that's cool that you're watching dub right now, I'm trying to find more good dubs to watch rn and it is challenging with my limited taste What did you like about Flying witch if you don't mind me asking? I thought about checking it out yesterday, but haven't made the decision yet.
  4. I'm pretty picky with shows that I'll watch, sometimes dropping them halfway through for lack of interest of because I don't like the way the series is going... That being said I'm having a hard time finding new anime that I like, besides rewatching old classics. For now I am only watching Rising of the Shield hero while I wait for season 2 of My hero academia and season 4 of Haikyu! Just tried to watch K-On! Again, couldn't get into it. Also watched ep 1 of Sword art online & realized why I've been avoiding it for the past 5 years.
  5. I've been enjoying rewatching the episodes so far in English (so I can share it with my hubby). One thing that has peaked my interest since I have rewatched it, is seeing the Queen of the so far crooked kingdom - hidden in her chaimber as if waiting to make her move. I can't wait to see what she is going to do with all of this intel she's collecting! The view of Filo in a suggestive role keeps undermining the ideal of the series for me, it just cheapens it for me, and I'm really hoping it is put to an end soon. loving Naofumi's transformations as the series Ian progressing, he's still in the party forming and adventuring stage, just like in any game, he's going to work on developing his skills and helping the people he comes across. I'm still finding this very interesting, and if as you say there's a dark plot coming, as long as it's not having to do with children being sexualized - I'm glad that it will continue to surprise me
  6. I definitely would, it is very gorey, and has some suggestive themes, but it doesn't go over the top in sexual things, so it's fairly safe there. the story is great, and the main character is awesome.
  7. The most messed up anime that I could bring myself to finish was Berserk
  8. I absolutely love your style @SAO LILDOOP reading it from the rhythm is like listening to a Linkin Park song, used to by my jam in high school. I also love how you tied in all the pain from the intro into a call to action there at the end, nice and uplifting.
  9. When does this change from "new as f***" member to "new member"?
  10. That's cool, I've never seen a sumo anime! I'll have to check it out, kinda vibin Naruto a bit, don't care for the song tho. So I've been a bit off topic this whole time so I'm gonna say I like the OP for Rising of the shield hero Surprise.. Im also sure that by the time My hero academia is released, it will have an even better OP too.
  11. @Ohiotaku those bass lines are killer, but that dudes voice kills it Aside, have you heard Claymores OP? Similar bass line, but sweet lyricist as well
  12. The song itself reminds me of "Ichirin no Hana" from Bleach ST. I liked t, but it wasn't my fave. Feels kind of angsty, it's just not my thing. The song and mood set by the animes background, story and the scenes that are chosen for the OP itself are just as important to me, so personally, it just goes along with general taste in anime. I like more songs like "First KO" by under star from Hajime no Ippo, because of the training behind it which gives it depth and the 3rd OP In My hero academia (although since I love that anime all of the OPs were good), that one and the first one gave me the most feels.
  13. My first manga was either Fruits Basket, or Ceres, Celestial Legend. I started reading manga way after watching anime, and thanks to my friends mutual liking of the current popular show airing on Adult Swim, Inuyasha.
  14. @Illusion of Terra I thought of it like the demons in human form evolve in Inuyasha (so possibly in Japanese lore) and stop the aging process once in their prime.
  15. Sounds straight up like you should look at Goku from dragon ball z
  16. Also funny then that it has great health properties in dealing with the flu and common illnesses.
  17. I guess they are fine if you like.. live in Alaska or something Im in NC, and it's not really cold enough for them to make sense to me.
  18. Not every Anime is everyone's cup of tea, we all can agree to that. I also am mildly bothered by the female characters in this anime being so young, and yet having them in a suggestive light... even if nothing happens, it's still very pervy and I think contributes to a problem we already have too much of in society... but what can you do? It's not just this anime, it's in nearly all of them. Even the Shield hero pointed it out saying something like "what's with all of the Lollicons in this culture, I get thinking little girls are cute but you guys take it too far."
  19. @ArchieKun I prefer to binge watch a series as well.. have no patience for this Lord help me.. But anyway, yea I think you'd like it. It has so many interesting aspects. I thought it was going to be very straightforward but there was a huge plot twist from the beginning and so I'm looking forward to seeing what else the writers have in store for us.
  20. Seriously.. I am a parent to a toddler, so I get things given to me by well meaning relatives, and MITTENS... I now have these adorable well meaning hand warming devices, but as soon as my daughter has to pick something up and actually use her hands, she decides she'd rather have frozen fingers than be trapped in these things what on earth, who created these things and why.. someone tell me.
  21. Hey everyone, I just LOVE Japanese culture and get so much out of anime that depicts unique areas of cultural exploration. Anyone else? Please share your fav anime with strong Japanese cultural aspects and explain its peculiarity. Or just tell about it in whatever way you see fit for discussion For example I really enjoyed summer wars, for its realistic depictions of familial values in Japan as well as the examples of their unique cuisine.
  22. My husband just built this fireplace for our living room.. so I'm hoping to finally have a romantic night in front of that beautiful roaring fire as it's freezing outside and rather than having a fake image of a fireplace on a screen like in the past TMI?
  23. I felt this way when watching Fairy Tail, it is the main reason I fell away from watching the series, so I see what you're saying. I think the plot follows very closely with how I would play Fable, or Dragon Age.. so to me the story is very fascinating and I can sort of feel the adventure and build up elements relying purely on the idea of leveling up the party members. It's so cool Pardon me
  24. Rewatched for me: Inuyasha - 2 Trigun -3 Samurai Champloo - 2 Afro Samurai -2 Summer Wars - 4 HSD Kenichi -2 Rewatched for others: Howels moving castle -6 Spirited away -3 Naruto- 2 Avatar the last airbender -4
  25. I am an avid tea drinker, and health food consumer.. oddly enough, as I do spend a lot of time being sedentary Favie teas: PG tips black tea with milk (hot), Iced black tea with vanilla, sugar and milk (Thai Iced tea), Golden milk (turmeric tea) Spiced chai latte (can buy pre made powder mix) Plain matcha, or matcha latte. Super expensive to buy and I just ran out And my most recent discovery oolong ️ Id love to visit a real tea shop or meet someone who makes their own tea from tea leaves.
