Now this is a good anime. The characters, the animation style, all of it is done extremely well. I just re-watched it about 2 months ago, and it has aged really well, which is a huge positive sign for anything. This isn't just nostalgia talking, Cowboy Bebop is just a good show. It's a bit of a shame that Steven Blum went to Samurai Champloo right after that though, it's good, it's just not this good.

This will be my first time posting a review here, but I like to do them from time to time, so let me know if you like this one and want to see more. That said, here's my review of the game after just finishing it. Let me just start this out by saying, Horizon Zero Dawn is not only one of the best games for PS4 that I've played, but it is the best game I've played in years. From the visuals, to the music, to the characters, and combat there are few, if any flaws. The game starts you out as an outcast from her home village at a young age. Desperate to prove her worth and get answers about the mother she never knew, Aloy enters a proving. Incident takes place directly after though, prompting the leaders of her village to grant her the title of seeker, allowing her to travel the world and return to her new home, whenever she wants. From there you really start to get a feeling for the game, through it's beautiful world and amazing settings and atmosphere. Combat is a huge focus of the game, and no matter what difficulty to play in, going in with spear in hand from the start is a huge mistake that will lead to death. Instead, stealth is the best way to ensure victory, and the way it's used in the game is brilliant, making every encounter tense and exciting, and extremely rewarding when you succeed. Dying is not as frustrating as you might think it would be, because most of the time, it just shows you what you did wrong, and it never feels like the game cheated you. Using different types of weapons both in terms of elements and what they do is fun, but if you want to pick a favorite element and weapon type, say a bow with fire arrows, in lower difficulties, you can certainly use though exclusively until the end. The story of the game, while not the best in the world, is surely enough to keep you invested, and several of the sidequests, will also introduce you to many interesting characters, some of which you can meet at the end of the game. Either way, the story is interesting and has enough shocking moments in it as you find out what happened in the past and how to deal with the threats of the present. The story, regardless of it length and a truly center evil, is more than enough to keep you invested, and the conversations you can have with people you meet along the way will endure several of them to the player, making it well worth it. The music of the game is not only some of the best I have ever heard in recent memory, it's also the best at setting the mood that it intends that I think I have ever experienced. Little to no words are needed to set the stage wherever it is being played, and that makes it greatly enjoyable. I honestly hope at some point soon, that the whole OST will be purchasable. It's one thing to have it on spotify, but it would be all the better to own it, as just listening to it will help me relive some of my favorite memories of the game. The world of Horizon Zero Dawn is by far the best looking I've ever seen on a console, and it also fits the setting of the game perfectly. The changing landscapes, and the foes that are more common in some places than others, all of whom also look amazing, the visuals couldn't be more impressive if they tried. Running across a desert or climbing a snowy mountain, all of it is enjoyable and should be praised by all for being so enticing. The overall length of the game depends on what you do in it, and with a world the size of this one, there's a lot to do. Because of this, it wouldn't be impossible to believe that you could spend 100 hours playing the game, whether you take storied sidequests on, or battle corrupted zones and bandits, there's plenty here for you to enjoy. I could probably sit here and gush about the game for hours, but suffice it to say, Horizon Zero Dawn has almost no equal, and would be one of, if not the biggest snubs in gaming award history if it didn't win several awards. There a lot of games to look forward to, but this is one, I will always look back at. My rating for Horizon Zero Dawn, is a perfect 5/5, and it's the easiest perfect score, I have ever given. There's a bit of DLC or sequel baiting at the end of the game, but I'm fine with either of those, so I have no issue with it at all. If you have a chance to play this game, do it, I doubt there will be a better one to come for the rest of the year.

There's definitely something wrong with your settings then, her hair is green and it's fairly clear in most settings. That said, I'm done messing the SAO kid in probably an capacity. I can't help but feel like their only starting anything with me because I don't share their opinion on a lot of shows and they chose to be angry at me instead of listening to me, because kid, I guess. I'm gonna be the bigger one here and walk away from it.

I've never played a Descent game, but I've seen them played, they do look fun. Here's hoping Strafe can match the style and standards it's set for itself. though it does seem like it won't have much of a problem with that. As for making these threads monthly, I'll without a doubt consider it, thanks for the positive input zoop.

Shou Tucker is one that comes to mind, with or without him being brought up already, but I think my least favorite anime character of all is probably Tien for Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball Super. He gets a pass for being stronger than Yamcha and slowing down Cell at one point, but from his intro as an antagonist, to the point where he becomes a protagonist in Dragonball, I see him as a character that needs to do a lot to redeem himself, and he never quite gets there. He's also not even as strong as Krillin, so people giving him a pass for his strength, especially in the wake of a more interesting character like Gohan, I can't really give him the benefit of the doubt like so many do.

I'm still in the middle of looking for things to watch, because I already ran through the suggestions I got, but in the meantime, I'm watching Tales of Zesteria the X.

I almost forgot about Strafe. For sure gonna have to pick that one up. Any game that reminds me of old school doom is worth looking into.

There's a lot to look forward to coming up next month, from the release of the Nintendo Switch, to NieR: Automata, to Mario Sports Superstars to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There's just a lot to look forward to, and it technically has already started with the trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadows of War, which let us know a gameplay trailer is on the way come March 8th, and Twitch streamers playing Horizon Zero Dawn on Twitch right now. So the question I pass on to you, is what are you most excited about? There's a lot to look forward to for shooters as well since Mass Effect is on the way, and so is Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon: Wildlands. For me, I'm most excited for Horizon Zero Dawn, which despite it's launch date, favors a March sort of setting because it comes out on the last day of the month, and Mario Sports Superstars, which will have the most detailed online functionality that a 3DS game has had to date. I'm also super excited about the Switch and the games coming for it, but I won't be getting it on release sadly. So what are you most excited about? Let's talk upcoming games. When I see her actually flying, I'll believe it, in the meantime, all she's doing is jumping and hanging out in a sort of suspended animation state for a short period of time. That's not nearly as impressive.

High School of the Dead is also really bad. Can't argue that.

Is it unfair if I say Shin-chan? The characters aren't funny, the jokes are stupid, it's annoying to look at and falls flat on it's face from the start and never gets better. There's nothing redeemable about it at all.

I'd like to see Chun Li sustain a fight in the air while fighting a high level Akuma.

Gonna have to go with Lenalee from D. Gray-man. No matter her appearance, her ability to fight and how she uses it, is far too much fun to watch. I've always had a thing for people who fight using their legs because there's some high end action that goes with it, and not only is Lenalee not an exception to that, she's practically the standard on how to do it right.

Nep-Nep is starting to grow on me more and more as I play the games. Just beat my third one. She's up there though.

This is another case of a popular anime that everyone likes, that I take some issue with. In order to explain why, I have to talk about the plot a bit, so SPOILER WARNING ahead. As far as anime goes, it's pretty good, the concept of not being able to eat human food, the very human side of the MC and his reluctance to eat humans to survive, in concept it's fairly interesting, and the first season itself is pretty good, but I do have some issues with it. The idea of becoming a monster because a surgery you had been forced into made you one partly, is a little much to take in. There were better ways to do that. Some of the characters are annoying and just to over the top, but really, that's about the only issues I have with season 2/ My thoughts on season 2 however is basically, oh my god what a train wreck. Ken says less in this entire season than he probably said in the first episode of season 1, the pacing is all wrong and inconsistent, the direction the show is going is both unclear and obvious at the same time so it becomes confusing and characters flip-flop so suddenly it's a wonder why anyone ever bothered having conflict that didn't end up in the final few episodes. The second season needed to be 16 to 18 episodes long, because it felt like important details were left out, and characters that ended up being a huge plot point were far too minor until it was time for them to shine. That said, the animation is amazingly well done in almost every scene and I think it's worth watching just to understand how an anime should look, but not be done.

My favorite character is Ohana Matsumae from Hanasaku Iroha. She has to deal with leaving her home as one of the worst times, and deal with family drama, and even drama from where she stays as several people either take issue with her, or their issues with others affect her. Hanasaku Iroha is not the most dramatic slice of life anime out there, but the characters are some of the best I've ever seen and Ohana is the best among them.

See, I like FFXV like I said before, but there's partly due to my general outlook on life, which is don't be cynical about everything, and stop looking for every flaw yuou can find. When something truly bad comes out, make sure everyone understands why, but FFXV takes 4 characters and makes them very interesting, even if there are obvious cut out parts in the middle of it for the character driven DLC. So yeah, it feels a little rushed, and it's not perfect, but I enjoyed it enough because I liked the characters and the darker tone that came with it. Also, since I haven't beaten it with my new game + yet, there are certain parts of the story that were added that I haven't seen which came with that update, so it might even be better than it was the first time around, I honestly don't know. Either way, I enjoyed it enough to actually get caught up in it's combat, it's open world, and it's characters. It's by no means the best story in Final Fantasy history, but it's enough to keep you invested, and that's good enough for me.

I agree with almost all of that. I do like FFXV, though it's not my favorite. As for IX, I'm just waiting for a confirmation of its release as it seems pretty unlikely that it won't be coming to the West, and I'd like to know to if it's worth getting the 3DS and home console version, or just one or the other. As for it's composing, it's amazing isn't it? There are few games series that try and pull off a continued feeling of familiarity like Dragon Quest does, and even fewer who do it so well. Even the spin-off titles still make you feel like you're in a familiar place, and it's largely down to the graphic style, but mostly down to the music. It's also great that a game franchise that clearly takes place in European setting decided to use proper accents instead of just ignoring them. The setting for Dragon Quest games is one of the best that you can ask for.

I've never watched the anime that Dragon Quest has, but I am a huge fan of the games. I've played every main entry game since IV, save and X obviously because I don't live in Japan, and I went back and played II and III. I'm also a big fan of the spin-off games like Dragon Quest Heroes and such. My top 5 favorite RPG franchises are Persona, Tales of, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy and oddly, Hyperdiemension games.

I've never heard of Yamishibai before but it sounds interesting. I should for sure check it out.
