Tabi no Yukue (Loved the new anime's opening scene. Hope the rest lives up to it.)

Now that the Wii U and 3DS servers are down I have a confession to make, I totally missed out on playing Splatoon 1... I had a Wii U back when the first game released and since then I was just too busy with anything anime and PC gaming-releated... I got the game on Christmas but never played it because I was already fearing that everyone was already at a higher level than me since launch and I was fearing that I will get nailed online in seconds... So I missed out on what Splatoon 1 had to offer like Turf wars and Splatfests, sadly I never made any memories of seeing Callie and Marie perform on stage during splatfests, partcipated in online matches against other inklings online nor partcipated in any Splatfests... I don't if I can still make any memories of play Splatoon 1 right now.... So I am kinda late in getting into the Splatoon series. I know the other games Splatoon 2 and 3 on the Switch still have online but still... I never made any memories of playing the first Splatoon game online and I don't even know if the Story modes are even connected to the other games or just separate stories that are like disconnected because I would like to play the games in chronological order.... But the only memories I made about Splatoon 1 is watching other people play the game on Youtube and cosplaying as an inkling boy wearing a Squid girl outfit. (Yes there was a Squid girl outfit in the original game.) So I just feel guilty coming in late to the Splatoon fandom....

So there are two animes i saw a long long time ago that for the life of me i can't remember and wish i could remember. First Anime: This anime has a scene where a girl kills her mentally ill mother who was trying to take the life of the girl's younger brother (I think) as well as her own (Meaning the mother). If i remember correctly i think it showed it on the first episode and last episode but with the difference being that in the last episode, after the girl kills her mother, she breaks down and mourns the death of her mother atleast i think she was mourning. either that or she was overwhelmed by what she was forced to do to protect her brother. Second Anime: I can only remember one scene which i think was on the last episode. You see, the story is about a boy who's older sister and both his parents are dead (Which im 99% sure it was both his parents) and the one scene i remember is when he has one of those near death experiences if i remember correctly, where he is in some wacky plain/dimension of sorts i think and he sees his older sister as well as both his parents and they go to pass on and the boy tries to follow but they dont let him cause it wasnt his time yet despite how upset he was cause he didnt want to be alone anymore.

Yo, AF. I'm new here. Mostly here to show you guys some stuff I've made but I'm not sure about the rules regarding self-promotion. I'm sure I'll find out as soon as I get around to posting more. I make (mostly anime-related) comedic dubs and I'm hopping around and chatting it up in different communities before we start dropping new stuff on our channel this year. What we're doing is kind of like abridged series but we have a different comedic style than I see from most of them and we don't really do series (yet?). We've also dubbed some late 90s-mid-2000s anime (like DMC, Ergo Proxy, and Rideback) that don't get very much attention. If you're interested in that sort of thing, you can check out some of these links to last year's videos. Also language warning. Also everyone involved in this channel is black (this context is very important lol)

What anime actually made you feel inspired?
-
I read a lot of books by Daniel Silva, he's my favorite Author and kind of the only books that keep my interest recently. I also read a few by Jeff Long here and there. These are mostly spy/mystery books or end of the world type books. When I'm not reading those I read a lot of books about World War II because I've always been really interested in that part of history.

~ Cat girl, fox girl, or dog girl ? which would you rather have? ~
Yokai_Magic replied to XII360's topic in Chit Chat
I know I am well LATE to this forum, but had to voice my opinions. I feel like the TYPE of each is important, for example there are many cat-girls whom I wouldn't pick over a fox-girl any day of the week, however Omamori Himari's female lead Himari is a Bakeneko (Monster/Demon Cat) and is absolutely stunning with her samurai-style servitude and yet still extremely seductive towards her master with just the right amount of Nyaa~'s. Meanwhile my preferred type of Fox-Girl only has so very few animated characters whom I would actually go for; Tenko Kuugen, Konohana-Tei girls, Hagoromo Gitsune, to name some of the few, as opposed to the plethora of animated cat-girls. I do however love many Fox-Girls who appear in various un-animated manga such as Yuki from Tamayura Kitsune, who is a fox granted human form by the god whom she serves as a shrine-maiden (Fox-Girls make the best shrine maidens). Honestly have very little interest in Dog-Girls, of course if you count wolves then Holo the Wise Wolf (Spice and Wolf) is hands down the greatest animal eared girl in history (first animal eared waifu), though her appearance and actions are so fox-like that it irritates me that she is said to be a wolf. However there is one dog-girl I have found in the past year of two that has been deemed waifu material and that is Wereanna from Kamitachi Ni Hirowareta Otoko (at least the manga) as she is fiercely loyal and beautiful, of course her wolf-like feeling helps earn her points. Similarly there are many Sub-Categories such as cats > big cat - girls, such as tiger girls or what have you that have a strong appeal. In the end it really comes down to individual characters traits for me, but I do admittedly lean towards Fox-Girls (Kitsune), the only outliers that could convince me otherwise are samurai cat-girl Himari and Wise Wolf-girl Holo. (Unsurprisingly all of my favourite of each are yokai/demons/spirits, which is where I spent my early anime days) -
It been awhile XD Finished Dragon Ball Absolutely brilliant can't wait for DBZ, naturally gutted about the more recent news in the DB circle all I can say on that is that Akira Toriyama was a legend and I'm totally gonna be playing Chrono Trigger. Up to episode 71 of Galaxy Express 999 A great show by the also unfortunately late Leiji Matsumoto Completed Star Wars Visions Yeah this wasn't the best probably just further prove that the best anime is made exclusively in Japan, it reminds me strongly of Halo Legends a jumbled messy that fails to be as good as other similar anime in the genre whilst also failing to feel and capture the sprite of the source material (not that Disney can do that either) Re-watched Toradora! Natural this show only gets better Watched Blue Submarine No. 6 This was a really good one that I randomly watched, highly recommend need to watch more GONZO shows. Watched Lunar Legend Tsukihime Really enjoyed this, kind of had some stilted animation, but a great story. Re-Watched Mobile Suit Gundam Origin I'm one of the biggest OG Gundam Fans in the World, We all know I enjoyed this rewatch. Re-Watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood This is a classic anime though the more I rewatch it the more tempted I am to watch the classic FMA Started watching Frieren: Beyond Journey's End This is a wonderful fantasy anime and very Tolkin in feeling Goblin Slayer Season 2 This one was also super good, I have to say their was a lot of strong fantasy anime this last season or 2. So glad we saw the return of Goblin Slayer Pluto I honestly didn't like this which was disappointing as I had high hopes for the show since it came from the same writer as Monster Finished Nadia The Secret of Blue Water Also just recently finished Nadia the Secret of Blue Water, it was so good I smashed though this show effortless and I didn't even skip the filler arch's which I actually (controversial opinion) enjoyed

It's been quite a while since I read a book, I've read magazines from the various societies I'm a member of, but not any books. When I was working I would leave my office at lunchtime and find a quiet spot where I would read a book while eating my lunch. Now I'm retired I watch anime while I eat my lunch, and dinner. I really must get back into the habit of reading books.

Flip Flappers has some of the most varied & eye -catching art styles of any anime I can remember
-
anime comes in all kinds of shapes and forms with different genres, music and, of course, art! so what are some of your favourite anime artstyles? being an artist myself, whenever i watch something i can't help but admire the different styles and artistic aspects, so i definitely have to few. the first being... violet evergarden! an amazing show with a stunning artstyle. every scene is gorgeous <33 next we have bubble! there are some absolutely breathtaking scenes in this anime that never fail to deliver next up, we have a more generic (but equally as amazing) one. heaven official's blessing ^^ i don't know what it is about this artstyle, but i find it very satisfying. also the art in the opening and closing??? HELLO????? this time, a very different approach to the anime style. panty and stocking! it's a very unique style that stands out, and i love it with its vibrant colours and bold shapes and how could i forget the studio ghibli artstyle??? it's iconic and beautiful (not to mention the food! it always looks delicious ) and finally, we have danganronpa. while i will admit it doesn't have the prettiest style, danganronpa has been one of my favourite franchises for years now, and it's had a big impact on many aspects of my life, including my own artstyle for a long time! it's iconic, and one i hold dearly to my heart <33 but yeah, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg! some honourable mentions are: neon genesis evangelion, toilet bound hanako kun, kotaro live alone and many more ^^

been watching heaven official's blessing lately! i love it so far ^^ i've also been thinking of getting back into anime again so i might watch some more

I know Harvest Moon! I have some time the next upcoming week to play a new game so I am going to check into it. Oh wow the trailer of this Cities: Skylines game looks amazing. Much different than the little phone games I usually play I really want to look that up now ~! Oh nice, I prefer a lot of anime games so that might be pretty neat

i started playing it with my friends and it's really fun. there is even an anime mod lol if you want that

What movie/TV show/Anime tracking app are you using?
Zeref replied to chongjasmine's topic in Chit Chat
I have a MAL but forget to use it all of the time. A lot of the time I will browse Crunchyroll for new animes that I just have not seen or what looks interesting. -
I just finished Frieren recently. While I agree with it being the best thing to air over the past 6 months, I have to feel it’s current ranking on MAL is overstating things. Will be wrapping up a number of series this weekend: Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic • Solo Leveling • Ragna Crimson Need to catch up on: The Dangers in my Heart season 2 • Shangri La Frontier • The Apothecary Diaries • Undead Unluck Looking forward to Yuru Camp season 3 a week from today.

With the 2024 winter anime series ending it's time for the binge watching to start!! First up was A Sign of Affection. I found this to be a wonderfully wholesome Slice of Life series about Yuki, a young girl who had been deaf from birth and lived all her life communicating by sign language and writing messages on her phone, tablet or notebook then into her silent world came Itsuomi, a guy a few years older than her who falls in love with her and takes her out of her little silent world and introduces her to a whole wide world that she didn't know anything about. This series has an excellent storyline and a good cast of believable characters, I especially liked the sensitive way they handled Yuki's character and the way her lack of hearing impacted the way she interacted with the those around her.

Nice to meet you! Always been a forum person but never jumped into the anime side of it! My favorite anime right now is probably Chainsaw Man, but I've seen a lot of shows! 86, Cowboy Bebop, Angel Beats, and Violet Evergarden are some others I'm big on! I recently started watching One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (I know I'm really late to the party). I'm also really big on music. I'm a big r&b fan, and also like a lot of EDM. Kind of just exploring around, any recommendations are welcome!
