@Animedragon  I just can't stop buying kit, (I have severe gear acquisition syndrome) lol like A little while ago, CAD was selling the new version of the E100s for like $50 couldn't pass that up either!

@Mur Mur I had gear acquisition syndrome when I was younger so I have loads of fancy gear and loads of cables and connectors of all sorts, most of which I now have no use for, but there's no way I'm getting rid of it.

I've largely recovered from the syndrome, but I do have the occasional relapse .

@Animedragon I try to limit myself to about one impulse buy a year, but I’m curious what kind of gear do you have? Do you record or enjoy making music? Most of my setup is for foley or voice-over work, except for the SM7B, which I got specifically for recording vocal covers for a couple of friends

@Mur Mur The older gear is mostly a small portable PA system and some 35mm slide projectors and fade/dissolve controllers from way back when I did slide shows for photo clubs etc, I had to stop doing that due to the spiralling cost of 35mm transparency film. Sadly, no one would enjoy the music I'd make as I have no musical ability whatsoever!  My gear now is still photography based but now I have a couple of DSLRs and assorted lenses and a couple of camcorders which I use to make videos, mostly but not entirely, featuring heritage steam trains

My two latest acquisitions are not very exciting, but they are very useful.

1. A 2025 Filofax insert. (I'm not sure I'm ready for 2025)

2. A step-up ring for my filter holder so I can use it with my camcorder and can now use my collection of special effects filters on both my DSLR and camcorder.

Here is some of the Boruto + Naruto things that my sister, @Sasuke and @Zeref got for me while I was in the hospital  There's some cards, several acrylic stands, some Sakura things, a Boruto button, and they put it all in this cute lil Boruto/Naruto bag ^^ 
There is also a few other things that I'll take some pics of later on ~

I felt lucky we found this bag to put this in. The vendor actually mailed it to us to include the gifts in.

My latest acquisition is one of those long reach plant loppers so I can now trim the top of my rose arch, and other things, without needing to use a stepladder, which I'd probably fall off because I have no sense of balance on stepladders above the first couple of steps.

After church this morning one of my friends gave me a large box containing a train set, apparently a friend of theirs found it the loft and knowing I liked trains decided that I'd be a suitable recipient .  It's a limited edition set and has a loco some wagons, a generous amount of track and some accessories. For a set that's 47 years old it's in remarkably good condition and looks like it was only used a couple of times. I shall have a lot of fun with it

Oh that's so neat ^^ ~ Are you going to add it on to your current one? Or is it going to be set up as its own separate thing?

No, it's going to be it's own separate thing. It's the same scale, but standard gauge rather than narrow gauge and there's no room left where the narrow gauge layout is. The new one will probably be a temporary one on the dining room table and provide me with an opportunity to run my collection of standard gauge locos.

I bought myself a second tripod. Why a second one? Well a tripod is pretty much essential if you're shooting video and want to avoid camera wobbles. My main tripod is great it goes up a long way so I can film over walls and fences it's also very study, but it's also quite bulky and heavy which is not a problem when I go to a railway gala by car, but it's another story when I have to carry it a long way by public transport! This new one is slightly smaller, and more importantly it's a whole 1 Kilo lighter than the other one.

I like that looks a lot easier to deal with.
