About to sit down and watch The First Omen on Hulu with @Zeref after the pizza gets here ^^

Yes, this was a good movie. It was on my list of movies I wanted to watch that had released recently.

I recently saw Castle in the Sky at the movies as part of Fathom Events’ Ghibli Fest. Like wise planning to go see When Marnie Was There for the first time in a couple weeks.

Also watched My Oni Girl on Netflix, but it really didn’t hold my interest.

Laputa; Castle in the Sky is one of my all time favourite films, I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. When Marnie Was There is a beautiful film, I think you'll like it.

I tried to watch "A Quiet Place Part II" last night but I fell asleep. I don't know if it was because it was boring or because I was just tired but I just couldn't get into it. I fell asleep about 30 minutes in and with the first part of what I saw I don't think I will bother trying to rewatch it :/ Which I remember liking the 1st one so I thought this one would be good.

I watched it all and I didn't find it that good either. Part 2's and 3's of movies very rarely equal out to being as good as the 1st movie.

I watched The Mummy (1999) last night. It's one of my comfort movies I've watched probably over 100 times lol

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!!!!! I think that about all the recent Godzilla movies though that have that Godzilla and that King Kong in them. I didn't know Kong: Skull Island was a part of that story though. I want to have a Godzilla and King Kong marathon of all the movies having to do with the one mom and I watched last night. ^^ Mainly because I already forgot a lot of what happens in them... ;.;

Yesterday I watched 13th Warrior.  The blurb on the box says,

Quote

A man, having fallen in love with the wrong woman, is sent by the sultan himself on a diplomatic mission to a distant land as an ambassador. Stopping at a Viking village port to restock on supplies, he finds himself unwittingly embroiled in a quest to banish a mysterious threat in a distant Viking land.

The Muslim in Viking lands is a fun plot device and while the protagonist is initially clearly of the "these are barbarians" mindset he eventually changes his mind.  Once we get into the serious part the story seems like it's heading in a decidedly fantasy / supernatural direction but it actually comes back around to reality in what I thought was a very satisfactory way.  It's pretty old at this point and it bombed at the box office due to a lot of competition and not enough money for advertising but it is a good if underrated story that I find worth a rewatch now and then.
