Very curious how international travel will change in the coming months after the initial impact of Covid-19. People are assuming that flights & vacations will be super cheap because companies will be trying to make money back but that may not necessarily be the case if a global recession happens. Even if it doesn't, it's very difficult for service based industries to recoup big losses even with government assistance so some prices may actually go up. Who knows?

I’m generally ok with creepy-crawlies so no real nightmare issues for me. That said, I also believe it is good policy that they not share living spaces with humans. I’m currently also in that part of California that is mostly desert. We don’t have much around here that will swarm in the first place. Stuff that will kill you yes - black widow spiders, rattlesnakes, bears, and mountain lions in my immediate area, plus tiger and great white sharks in the ocean - but no real swarmers. The worst we get is an occasional termite or ant uprising.

So, our government banned all gatherings of more than 5 people; Thankfully my family is only 4 people large so we can still have dinner together But srsly, many more countries will probably follow this trend, since there's virtually no reason to assume that the virus will spread differently in other places. (Or at least most countries that have at lest some 100+ confirmed cases and/or had their first case a few weeks ago.) Finally people will learn to understand and appreciate the introvert live-style On a good note, my friend has been tested negative and more sore throat is gone, lel.

@Illusion of Terra hehe, yeah I tend to really get into character analysis if it's a show I greatly enjoy. Another reason I focused so much on them is because of Eri's attendance at the school event. We all know that she's got major stuff going on so for two new characters like that to be introduced at this time, it just makes me feel like somehow they would get involved with her or cause something bad to happen that involve her in some way. And @Ohiotaku exactly, see Gentle Criminal is the one who keeps talking about how much he's aging & stuff & that just makes it creepy. If Colonel Sanders had a disgruntled, estranged brother I bet he'd look & act just like Gentle Criminal!

@RuthisianCodex that's quite a serious take on it not saying you are wrong or anything, I just didn't give it as much thought because the whole la brava gentle criminal thing seemed more as a comedic aspect overall to me. but yeah, there definitely are some things there that are unusual to put it in the best possible way. I don't think they will be playing a major role in the rest of the anime though, which then raises the question of why they would introduce them with such a background

Oh the extra background is great, don't get me wrong. It's the fact that she's not only way younger than him(the way the episode shows it is as if she's still just a teenager running around with this guy. Now, given cultural differences & all that, this could be completely acceptable & no big deal where they are but for me just eh...) but obsessive relationships like that are just so unnerving because they're not built on anything positive. I mean, when she first learned about him she was in a deep depression & just grasped onto the 1st thing that looked good & became instantly obsessed & devoted herself to him. Also, the episode alludes to the idea that she stalks after her love interests, yikes! Add to that the fact that Gentle Criminal choose a life of crime because of his need for validation rather than finding some other way to get noticed & make his mark. Talk about toxic all the way around. Their bond is built & fortified by desperation.

Just watched the latest episode & geez, the relationship between Gentle Criminal & La Brava...I just don't know what to say. It's a deep bond but I'm more than a little disturbed by it.

Speak all languages as that'd guarantee me employment as a teacher/translator and I'd be able to watch all the animes that don't have English subs Would you rather be a bird that can't fly or a fish that can't swim?

I've seen the first few episodes but I put it off so I could binge the rest. It is on my hot-list so I'll probably get back to it soon. What I saw looked like a lot of fun.

I'd rather know when I'd die. Would you rather be able to speak to animals or speak all languages?

A little late but I have a few suggestions. If looking for something similar to Arjuna, try Magic Knight Rayearth. It has similar pacing, is a magical girl type, and similar art. Then if you like Rayearth, consider giving Ronin Warriors a try. It's art style is very close to Rayearth and although not a magical girl type, it is a true classic. For something like Solty Rei (I loved that anime!), try Outlaw Star for starters and possibly Galaxy Railways. You have a scifi/space opera component and older looking graphics.

Just checked their “official” ages. Gentle is 32 (called it). La Brava is supposedly 21 (no way in hell ) Of course it’s a common trope in anime that male characters are younger than they look & females are older.

So it's getting late & here I am sitting in the dark watching Shiki yet again. I must love to torture myself.

Well, friend of mine with who I had a lot of contact at the beginning of the week is getting tested for Corona because some of his relatives have it. If he's tested positive, I'll be under quarantine until the 24th. (not that much would change, though....)
