    Manga vs Anime

I suppose I never thought about it that way. I just always thought of the panels in a comic, or graphic novel to be more of a supportive thing to further help describe the story being told, but to each their own. To your point though I do see how pics can be somewhat detracting especially in a deeply woven story.
  2. I don't think I touched on this earlier, but I know next to nothing about InDesign. My understanding is that it is for the print, or emag industry. I could help with some concepts on video editing if you had any questions. I find it to be a lot like photo editing, or more like animation honestly which in a way it is. What kinda stuff did you write in your short stories?
  3. @RepentantSky Thats quite the list very detailed I really like it. Admittedly I skimmed it, but I'll go back soon to fully read it.
  4. Very well outline. I love how you explained this. I fully agree on how silly the 90s was in its habbit of reusing animations even though this was a big thing of not just anime, but even western cartoons of the era. I think I see what you're touching on here. The rate of anime being produced has more then increased 10 times since the early 2000s therefore much like rest of the media industry gotta wide through the crap to find the gems. This in my mind is largely true, but for me I am far less judgemental of anime then I am western animation, or tv series. I too would like to see this list.
  5. I agree with Brycec here that one is only one worth the time.
  6. Thats all good tech is such a wide range of things. Plus there is plenty of other geeky things out there to take interest in. Yes that is very true. There is also a lot that goes into formatting a drive logically that ends up using a little space anyway. Though yes some manufactures are better at allowing for more space then others. Sega is awesome I love Sonic at least until he kinda fizzed out in the early 2000s per say. I also loved House of the dead back in the day.
  7. Yah thats the funny part once your 21 you can drink yourself gone as long as your in your own home, and next to nothing can be done about it in terms of penalty amusing there is no under aged people in the home.
  8. Oh most defiantly America has a horrible hold out till your 20s till you drink culture causing so many issues. Need I say more.
  9. It sounds like your having more then one issue that way look like one problem even though it may be many. I want to start off by answering your question on the protocol fall back. That isn't exactly how it works. http, or https are functions used by your browser, and the website in question to deliver the information to you. The only difference between http, and https is the security more sespficily the encryption of the traffic while using the site. It can be more complicated then that, but just wanted to help clarify this first. Last point here is the website in question dose make the choice to use one or the other not both. As far as the issue you are likely having it sounds like you may have some corrupted temp files causing certain sites that originally downloaded them for you to view the site not to display properly, or at all. You should try running a disk clean up on a windows machine. Also go ahead, and delete all cashes from your web browser including those temp files. You may also want to reset your browser to its default settings as well to ensure its operating properly. It may not hurt to update your browser too while your at it. There is also a good chance you need to call your ISP as they may have some configurations that got messed up on their end. I also wanted to ask how comfortable are you with working with your modam, or router? Wanted to ask before I go any further plus I think may be best to try these things first.

    Manga vs Anime

I can see where you come from in this mind set, but often even with pictures/art right in front of you with a comic, and manga you can still imagine their personality. This can be very powerful even more so if you are less Fillmore with the series in question.
  11. Well lets just say my entire home is anime, or gaming related. The walls are draped in wall scrolls which I buy most often when I attend cons. I also have a sizable collection of plushies. I also have a very large manga collection as well. There are plans to get a couple body pillows as well as a comforter too once I get my new bed next year.Yah I am a true Otaku, and quite Kuundere.
  12. This is yet another I must play. The art is adorable, and I'm ok with lower quality audio. The art more then makes up for it. Also dose this have more then one volume.
  13. Hi there, and welcome to AF. ^^ Hope you have a great time here. I'm always looking for someone to geek out with especially about anime so don't be shy. See you around.

Thanks for the kind comments! And sorry for my delayed reply, I am really busy with work. Yes DMG is my no. 1 fav in Yu-Gi-Oh. The avatar/cover photo is actually from the Dark side of Dimensions movie which was a rather late follow-up to Duel Monsters.

Interesting I learned something new. I have followed Yugioh for a while with DM being my most favorite. Though I did not know of this movie. Thanks for letting me know. No worries I understand work is important. Hope to hear from you again. :)

So who is your favorite characters from Yugioh DM in terms of duelists.

Did you ever watch GX and 5D's by any chance? There's also a smartphone game called Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links which is pretty cool, lets you play as various anime duelist characters. Yami overall would be my most favourite. :P Mai is pretty cool too with her Harpies.

  15. I've put in a detailed app for the Community Manager role. Thank you for the opportunity as well as consideration. I really like this forum, and already feel very at home here.
  16. This post game is fun. Basically each person continues the count till we reach the number listed in this case 1,000 is the ending number. I have played it tons of times before, but didn't see it posted here. So lets have some fun. You can include a short message with your number to keep things interesting. Also how you write out the numbers is up to you, but good to keep an on exactly what number we're on I've miscounted in the past more so near the end. Just putting that out there. Happy counting. 1
  17. Fair enough, I rather enjoyed it. Fairy Tail being one of the few mainstram series I enjoy. Though I get where your cumming from. For me I liked the first 6 seasons. Those were the earlier more funny ones with more charm. Season 7 is where things went down hill.
  18. Ya Rave Master was guilty of just stopping abruptly like many series in anime terms with a much longer manga. So what dose everyone think of Fairy Tail? I ask because like Naruto it has stood test of time, and literally changed as time passed all be it not at the same magnitude being a bit shorter.
  19. Your Lie in April is very good series. My partner had me watch it. I was hesitant at first, but I certainly see the attractiveness to it. Same I have largely been paying more attention to the newer one's on my own, but my partner, and I just finished Rave Master which is a bit older being the predecessor to Fairy Tail.
  20. Oh gosh I can't wait for this either looks amazing from what I see here.
  21. One thing that has changed throughout the ages especially in the 2010s, and going strong for the 2020s is the aditude as well as stigma surrounding anime. It has become far far more widly accepted even from people that do not really get into it. This is shown in a lot of dubs that get released. Even though I do not care for dubs they do have a place, and some people like them. One thing they are good for though seems to be gauging where the industry is headed outside Japan. it is also a good way to see how the camunity reacts to it as weell. One thing I focus on when trying to get an idea of this is the amount of censorship in the dub, or outside Japan manga release. Nowa days you rarely see censorship of anime. This is why I favor the newer more modern series.
