Just finished watching episode 14 and ... Holy ****, If this episode had aired a week earlier THIS would be my nomination for best series of the Fall 2018 season and it would definitely warrant better than an honorable mention for the year. As it stands, the bar Has definitely been raised. And even though we'll have to wait a week to see Gabiru's redemption, I believe learning that Master Gelmud considered him nothing but orc chow ought to sufficiently humble him.

Crunchyroll FINALLY put up a page for the simulcasts https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-ne...mulcast-lineup I'll probably check out the first couple episodes of each of them but at the moment the ones that look most interesting to me are; The Promised Neverland, Magical Girl Spec Ops, Mob Psycho 100 & Price of Smiles. Of course there are continuing series like Hinomaru Sumo, Reincarnated as a Slime & Gegege no Kitaro as well

We've primarily been talking about cartoon series, but I also remember in the mid to late 70's there were a number of prime time specials that were animated versions of literary classics. The ones I remember were Riki Tiki Tavi, The White Seal, The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe & The Little Mermaid (definitely NOT the Disney version as it kept the fairytale's original ending, which is not happily ever after at all).

Ah, I see. So as my observation suggests, I have zero experience with Gridman prior to this series. That & the fact that I've never really been into tokusatsu franchises was one of the reasons I dropped it early on. Still, even though there may have been times I enjoyed the show with a wrong understanding, it doesn't change the fact that I did enjoy it. And the overall message that came across to me was

So, just finished this series and still probably need things to sink in a bit but my theory at the moment is Need a bit more time to really put my thoughts together, but it was quite the ride and in all likelihood my favorite series from the fall season
