Oh no Okay.. when I was in middle school, watching Rurouni Kenshin on toonami after school, I set up an outdoor training area resembling Yahikos and used an old broom handle to practice kenshins sword draw/ attack. It was pretty awesome and I attribute that to my ability to slice an object in half when thrown into the air with a short sword today Probably more memories to come- and still really weebish, so making more all the time Great thread topic btw.

I took a class similar to this one where the professor focused on movies and music in literature. The outcome was good, he allowed us to dig into a more multidimensional medium than literature alone, getting auditory, and visual information for understanding the topic as well as the information we are able to gather from the literature in question. I also took the classic lit classes, one which was heavy on the old English and nearly everyone in the class was using cliffs notes or couldn’t even read the traditional translation so they had no real need for the actual book, they’d just google a modern English version to make things easier. I’d say the topics were always great that we got to discuss in that specific class, and the writing was graded very strictly. But as far as learning from things that aren’t very relatable or understandable is another obstacle in the process. I do appreciate learning the classic literature and would do well in a lit appreciation class but as far as learning anything more (as far as developing actual writing style) I think it’s asking too much out of one semester. Learning and absorbing, sure. Transformation through such a short amount of time? Likely not. I think classes that can be more easily translatable to its students would see more students readily changed by their efforts. A+ for anime class

Yes, following a member to include more options than status updates.. like checking more fields per say. if the forums were listed in a check box format when we go to follow a member, having the fields available for us to choose which area of interest we have in following a member id check the club forums and creative corner for specific members... Other members may want to follow specific members for updates in the anime section - such as @Ohiotaku or @Muco who always seem to have good reviews - for example

Yea, I’m not sure if following a club is a thing, but even if it were, it wouldn’t do much more than I can already do by scrolling by the club. I’d love to see when specific members post new content in creative corner or clubs. That’d be useful but I’m also not sure if it can be done.
