  4. I just made some spicy baked tilapia, roasted root vegetables, & sauteed corn & mushrooms. My kitchen smells amazing! 🍽️🐟🥕🌽🍄

      Funnily enough I made fish and chips today. Sea food week is the best week of the month

  9. Tonight's dinner was some baked tilapia with roasted Brussels sprouts, onions, & butternut squash. I am now dancing around like a lunatic thanks to @EvaUnit69 🤪

  10. What I wouldn't give for a good pair of glow sticks, a pair of JNCO jeans(oh yes...I said it! lol), and to have my hair done up in bright purple braided pigtails. Yeah...when I was in high school, I was something ELSE!
  11. I am no professional chef but cooking is a major hobby of mine & I'm quite interested in making dishes from some of my favorite anime shows. Please post pics of anything that you make I'm actually writing a book now about a woman who is a talented caterer & she discovers she has these wild abilities that she'll have to use to take down this ancient cult. I plan to post some of the recipes in the back of the book. I swear, if I was ever in the mood for an anime picnic, it is right...now!!!

They're doing a great job of balancing the light hearted episodes with the ones that make you just feel like throwing your hands up & saying to Hell with it or clenching your fists & saying let's go! This school play is going to be nothing short of awesome & yeah, they are totally poking fun at them. Yuki is really growing into his own person & maturing & his line about his mom where he says, 'I hope we can both look back on this one day & laugh together' just made me want to hug him. I also think that him & Machi would be good together not just because I will flip out if Kyo & Tohru don't end up together but also because they have a really good chemistry. Like, when he approached her & asked her to help them understand why she lashes out, I think that was huge for her because he wasn't accusatory or aggressive. At the very least, those two will be become close friends, I think. And guys....why is no one talking about how awesome the opening song or the art work at the end are???? I mean, they're amazing!!!
  14. My workout area. Most of the exercises I do like lunges, squats, getting my daily steps, etc. don't require any equipment but since I'm toning as I lose weight there are a few things that are proving to be quite helpful. I just added squats & lunges this week & my legs hurt, so I picked up that neon colored muscle roller. The two sets of resistance bands help with toning my arms, but they're also good at helping my tone my core as well. And then of course there's my yoga mat I also took @Wedgy's advice & got one of those water bottles with the markings along the side to tell how much water I've drank so far.
  15. I just watched it too & feel similarly. Heroes Rising did an amazing job of helping me put aside any dislike I have for his attitude & just cheer my heart out for him. I did 100% agree with his assessment of the situation though. Even if it was just a training exercise, one day people's actual lives are going to be in his hands & when those times come he can't just haul ass & run or hope someone else gets the job done. Especially since during the time of this training, they'd already been attacked by bad guys a few different times so situations like this could happen at a moment's notice. Also, as for Tokoyami, you would think that there is some type of gear or mod that can be made to help him control Dark Shadow. With the exception of being sensitive to light, that would greatly enhance his power & overall usability not only in combat situations but in rescues.
  16. You know, it's a darn shame that I have to drive to an entirely different city just to find produce that doesn't look it fell out of a rubbish bin. On the bright side, I did find a wider variety of fruits for snacking this week: apples, pluots, red plums, pears, peaches, & nectarines.

    I also plan to get some grapefruit, lemons, apricots, & grapes but I'll have to drive even further away for those so I might just go in the morning. 

    The best part of this is that now that I eat fruit so often I've begun to crave it instead of things like potato chips, cookies, etc. & I'm not too far from reaching my next weight & fitness goals, so this is very encouraging.

      @Wedgy thank you. It has been an adjustment to be sure.

      I've started taking a clear bag with fruit in it & leaving it in my desk at work so I have one to snack on in the morning & one to eat right before I clock out so that I'm not tempted to stop anywhere on the way home or over eat at dinner. I also have a full glass of water before I leave as well. 

      I pass 5 different restaurants on the way home & I only live a few minutes from my office. Luckily, I stopped eating fast food last November. Keeping well stocked on veggie burgers & plant based nuggets, etc. keeps me from being tempted to stop also. 

      I've had to put all these small behavior changes in place but now they're just second nature. I've been reading articles on how obesity decreases the effectiveness of medicines & vaccines due to the underlying issues that often accompany being overweight. That paired with my desire to just have more energy, travel more, & get serious about cosplaying are all more than enough reasons for me to make my health my main priority.
