Just watched the first episode of Cowboy Bebop & I must say, I'm very disappointed in everyone here in AF who has seen & enjoyed this complete masterpiece of an anime without ever once recommending it to me. It just makes me wonder what other gems you guys are hiding from me. I thought we were becoming friends but now I'm not so sure...
Um, all kidding aside guys, Cowboy Bebop is flippin' amazing! The music, the fighting, the guns, SPIKE...all of it! Love, love, love!

This week's episode reduced me to a literal sobbing mess. Out of all the zodiac members, the one who shatters my heart the most after Kyo is Momiji. Good heavens, how tragic for him! His sister is so sweet & adorable & I just wished that I could have been there to take her by the hand inside the complex to see him. The part where he tightened his fists when he was talking about if Akito were to find Tohru really got to me because he knows just how terrible things could get but he was still willing to face whatever danger there may be. In my opinion, this is what makes Momiji the bravest zodiac member because he tries to do the right thing even when he's scared half to death. He does what he can & if that's not enough he goes & gets help. That, my friends, is courage. And Arisa and Kureno are killing me. When she talked about how much it hurt her to look forward to seeing him, only to be disappointed, I really felt that. She holds SO much in & then when she finally does feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable to someone it all seems to go wrong. And what happens to people like that? They shut down again, only the next time even harder & sometimes it's for good because the possibility of being hurt like that again or made to feel hollow in that way one more time is just too much. I need to go get a hot bath & let the rest of this soak its way out of my system because this episode hammered me pretty good. -
Finally going to give Cowboy Bebop a shot tonight, I think.

It’s not the type of series you usually seem to watch, but hopefully you enjoy it. The appeal for me was getting attached to the main characters as we gradually lean more about their backgrounds. So much so that later episodes packed something of an emotional gut punch, which was surprising because it starts out pretty humorous. Of course there’s also the coolness factor & the jazz

The only person I know IRL who likes anime as much as I do is one of my managers. He's the one who told me about Goblin Slayer, Attack on Titan, and Demon Slayer. And the rest, as they say, is history. -

Lain's dad made a comment about upgrading her computer as a status symbol for her maturity to keep up with her friends and that really unnerved me. I am not a tech nerd at all. I live below my means and I don't give a damn about keeping up with everyone else like that. I can't tell you how many problems that has caused me with people around me who seriously look down on people who aren't trying to constantly impress them.

COVID-19 cases are rising dramatically in my area so OF COURSE I'd pick now to get a craving for pizza from the place down the street....
Thank goodness I foresaw something like this happening & grabbed some frozen pizza on my last trip to the grocery store & I was lucky to even get one because people have been buying them like crazy here.

I like Pizza Hut as long as it's stuffed crust but my favorite is Godfather's Pizza. There are two local places that I like as well that are family owned. When I was a kid, those Bigfoot pizzas from Little Caesar's were my absolute favorite though
