I consider this an appropriate and agreeable term of endearment for Zin.4 points

Unfortunately, other than with closer friends and colleagues, anime is not something I would readily discuss at work. In that sense, I mean I'm not going to be leaving wallpapers of it on my workstation. As mentioned above, many titles have fan service and sexualised imagery which could completely be taken out of context by a passerby or anyone not familiar with anime. Talking about it too much with older work colleagues does raise eyebrows. To give you more context, I once worked with two Japanese teachers. One was older and very traditionalist. The other was younger but still took his work seriously. When I said to both of them on separate occasions that I really love Japanese animation, the older one replied "Oh is that so?" and that was the end of it. Whereas the younger one was more interested and we discussed several titles, as well as him trying to implement parts of it in his teaching lessons for fun. So yes I think there is still a general stigma - which is unfortunate as anime covers so many different themes and stories. Thankfully it is definitely less than what it used to be as more and more anime movies are being shown in cinemas.3 points

^-^ ah my sweet zinnie bear. You bring up some excellent points! Here is my rather blunt reasoning behind it all (besides what I already stated): Why wouldn't I be first to vote so quickly when no one else is stepping in to make the votes? I could just wait it out. But inevitably this game must move forward. With everyone waiting around so cautiously to point accusations since there have been little clues as to whom is the killer, I figured why not take it upon myself to get the ball rolling. Nectar may have been a rather haste choice, but one that I don't regret making. Would much rather go with my gut since there aren't a whole lot of clues. And as I stated above, his behavior has been a lot different this game based on previous actions. I may be off totally. But I would rather go with my guts. Also, I would much rather spare my lovely ladies. Call me biased. But I wouldn't mind dying by your hand if you are the killer. If I'm completely wrong about Nectar, one step closer to dying in the name of love.3 points

if thats the only case, half the people here would be suspicious. and you did make that vote quite quickly.. without allowing nectar to make his case first. which may or may not be suspicious3 points

I probably wouldn't mind to be quite honest. It's not like I can do much about it if they were. As long as they had fun, right Then I'd be used to it enough that I would probably quite like it. Dirt restaurants with dirt burgers and dirt fries. As long as the compost they made them with was organic and reasonably nitrogen-rich, I'd be okay :3 Might start sprouting various fruits so that would keep me going2 points

Thanks! Thank you! Hahah, glad you found out. Thanks! If I will have any question, I will ask you via PM. Most of time I'm listening to rock and nightcore. My favorite bands are System of A Down, Green Day, Metallica, Linkin Park and so on.2 points

There's generally no how per se. I joined the site and was an active, contributing member of the community, making generally high quality posts, etc. I used the forum frequently, submitted a ton of reports any time I saw anything bad, all while generally not caring if I was made a moderator or not. I was just doing what I generally always did, without a specific end goal in mind. Eventually there came a time when the existing site staff decided that they needed an extra set of hands. When this happened, the impression that they'd gotten of me through my time here was apparently sufficiently impressive that they decided to offer me the role. I accepted it. There wasn't really anything magical or mysterious about it - it was, in fact, fairly boring overall. So, now you know how to become a moderator. Let's talk about what happens after you're a moderator. Congratulations, you get a fancy staff tag. Congratulations, any time there's ever a mess on the forum, you're the person that gets to deal with it. Congratulations, any time cleaning up a mess involves coming down on someone that people like for doing something really bad, you become very (note, I'm being sarcastic) popular. Congratulations, when it comes to dealing with the fallout of those messes, you're the person that has to deal with the after-drama drama. I'll be blunt. Being a moderator isn't something to eagerly pine after. It's a pain in the ass, and it will invariably shift your perspective of a community by forcing you to always be aware of the worst aspects of it, which often go unnoticed by everyone else due to the actions of the moderation team.2 points

I do actually. It's nice Last Wednesday, at around 3 in the afternoon, I went into Morrisons, I as do every couple of weeks. Slowly and cautiously, I began to approach Isle 12. As I did so, I felt the very ground shake beneath my boots. It was mostly due to the terribly wonky wheels of the trolley. Brave and determined, I entered the isle. And to my horror, I found, in a poorly lit corner, a small note. "Sorry, we're currently out of stock. Please speak to a staff member or come back later." Nothing else remained. They were all out... of crumpets. Scary stuff, that. This is true I felt guilty mostly. A small amount proud though. Proud to stand up to the cruel society where emotes are privatised by individuals. I'm campaigning for free use of all emoji. It's time we stood together as a community against the evils of this capitalist society. Maybe one day, I will feel no guilt from using any emoji. That is my dream.2 points

I've been away from the forums for over half a week unexpectedly. Sorry I didn't reply to these sooner, I'll be here to answer questions all the time I'm awake now ^w^ Excellent question... I haven't really considered it before I would probably go the same way as most crazy leaders, work my way up the ranks of government by appealling to the tired and maniuplated working class until I became the President/Prime Minister of a large and powerful country. I'd get myself an army, lots of conscription, form an empire etc. All the nasty nasty corrupt leaders do quite a good job of it, so I think I would follow them It depends on the area of the garden patch. Let's treat this like an equation. You say that 1 potato plus 1 potato gives you two potatoes. That's fine, we'll assign 'potato' the letter 'p' 1p + 1p = 2p The garden patch has an area of 30 potatoes, since 'potato' contains 6 letters and 'patch' contains 5. Therefore 'garden' multiplied by 'patch' to find the area gives us 30 potatoes in the patch. If we assume the patch is square, then there are 5.48 potatoes on each row of patch, and 5.48 in each column. We need to find the centre of the garden patch, so you can find that by halfing the amount of potatoes in the patch. 30 / 2 = 15 We're also assuming here that each potato is equidistant from each other. This shows that the potato in the centre of the garden patch is the 15th potato. Not at all, this is great! Questions are good :3 Eh, it's not that exciting. We met when we were 3, hated each other until we were 14. Fell in love and there you go. Not especially exciting, I wouldn't say2 points

Yeah. Even on the internet, it can be hard to find good communities for discussing certain topics on. Offline, at least for me, it's impossible. So, I'm very glad I found this place.2 points

I'm never embarrassed of watching anime!:D(you know I'm a HUGE liar right?) ... I'm embarrassed of watching anime in front of my brother. My parents don't know that I watch anime. In fact, even if there's a bit romantic scene in a family-friendly movie, I get REALLY embarrassed of watching it in front of people. Friends? I don't mind. But your FAMILY? Um, HELL NAW!! That being said, I'm even more embarrassed now. So I bought a movie called Sausage Party. It was animated, so I thought it was family-friendly. What happened next? DUN DUN DUN!! Sausage Party is R rated. My family KNOWS that I bought Sausage Party. Now I'm hiding it. But if ANYONE (other than my brother, of course) finds it, I'm dead. Sausage Party is SO worse than even Highschool DxD!:? Hope that was informative! ^_^2 points

Or maybe you're just evil and you want to make everybody in the game fall in love with you and then you can stamp on us all while we're all dreamy. I will stand my ground x) I'm bringing as much of my A-Game to this as possible. Although I might have lost a few letters of the alphabet with my absence, so idk maybe my D-Game? Regardless, I am forever listening2 points

ah oops i didnt clarify, i meant last game. aw man maybe im just a nice person and dont want people to be killed for no reason~ i didnt want to vote anyone without actual reasoning last game either. i just dont like voting blindly is all! im just a little more vocal this time around since zoop isnt here to make all the perfect points and leave me with nothing to add haha2 points
-
of course!! you had sound reasoning last time, im not trying to corner you, just saying that based on that alone, i dont personally find nectar suspicious. and i did actually defend scrooge at the beginning of this game for the same reason. i wouldnt corner my lovely kirry kitty~2 points

please call me this forever please and thank you i agree with this thought process, however you couldve just put your thoughts out there instead of immediately voting, which is why im a lil suspicious says the one who suspected me all last game~2 points

You sure replied to that fast I was about to say I don't suspect you before I noticed that... not the case now There is pretty much nothing juicy to go on right now. Whoever is behind this... is smart. My listening will continue x)2 points

My first ever vote, I'm honoured I'm quite surprised nobody said anything about me the last game too, though zoop sort of acknowledged me a little bit. This is fun now, I have to make a case for myself ^w^ Yes. Yes I was busy. Very busy. Stupidly busy the last couple of days. If I'm ever not active here, it is because I am too busy to be here. I would like to apologise really, for not doing so much crazy deduction. Some of it is partly deliberate since I got it a little off the truth last time and didn't want to be wrong for a second time. In the coming days I'll step up my game, I'm sure. It is very much unlike me, yeah. Anyway, that's where I've been. If you're interested as to why I havent' been here, well, that's another thing I would direct you to this: https://animeforums.net/community/threads/how-are-you-feeling-right-now.2508/page-11#post-41382 Also, no problem ^w^ I'll accept my first vote happily. I'm surprised I've survived such a long time with next to no attention at all despite my activity.2 points

I slept in a bathtub once because I drank too much and wouldn't stop puking. All I remember is starting this godawful drinking game, complete blackout in the middle, then going to sleep in the tub. I don't recommend it2 points

Do you ever feel really self-conscious about watching anime? Is there a person or group of people that you absolutely would NEVER want to know about your hobby? Don't worry, I promise that they will not read this topic. I'll start. If I'm hanging out with friends or people around my age or younger, then I really don't care. Anime is disturbingly popular up here in the northwest of the USA, and I have never really felt a need to avoid mentioning it. With *that* said, whenever I'm watching anime on the commuter train to home, I like to ensure that my back is up against the wall so no one can watch over my shoulder. The fact that there's so much fan service and shit in most anime make me extremely reluctant to be seen by someone that may just interpret things as, "OMG THERE IS A GROWN WOMAN WATCHING ANIMATED PORNO ON THE TRAIN." Besides this, I tried introducing anime to my mom and completely made a mess of things due to some very, very bad choices on the part of myself and my sister. To make a long story short, my mother currently believes that anime is satanic and completely horrifying. And, with my mom, first impressions are everything - gg no re. So, yeah... I guess my own situation is half and half. :'(1 point

If no one watches anime, manga is so far away. There are no anime or manga products in my country. I'm like WWWWHHHYYYYY??!!!!:'(:'(:'(:'( When I was young, and by young I mean 3 or 4 years old, I had a yellow pair of T-shirt and pants. The T-shirt, I still remember vividly, had the picture of an anime girl with long, spiky blue hair and a hat. She was a pretty old anime character, I decided after seeing the art style. Then...well, it's gone now.:'(:'(1 point

"I never watched porn, Mom" would be mah answer but since you say to answer it seriously I don't think i can still say anything whn She'll say that and ask her "Heard what?". Whenever I'm in the mirror and dancing my "creative dancing skills in my small world" I feel like some cameras are glued behind the mirror or something and I stopped dancing and keep on glancing on the mirror like a lunatic. Hope this answers your question1 point

Well, I tend to be very picky about what I start in the first place and tend to do a lot of digging for info before I do. So, I've not started watching anything and then dropped it. Any anime I've stopped has been due to general apathy and I do intend to restart them all at some point in the future.1 point

Mind if I ask what specifically about what Your Lie In April had wrong with it that caused you to drop it? Even as someone who has tired of a lot of tropes that it without a doubt has, I find it every enjoyable and interesting, so I'm very curious about what kept you from finishing it.1 point

Was my reasoning really all that sound? He made a vauge threat, one of which he retracted. My main reasoning was because he was "too disgustingly sweet." I was the first to pick John Jobs. People jumping on the bandwagon was just a plus for me. :3 Maybe in truth all my decisions are rash and unsound. Maybe I am just picking people off slowly. Maybe I am the killer. :3 Or maybe I'm a sadist and I'm bored and I'm ready for some pain and suffering. Let's get to the good parts. Who knows. ;31 point

During free hours at school I watch anime whenever I can cause I have this habit of downloading many anime episodes as I possibly can during the day since my Mom usually turns off the Wifi by 12 (this is getting out of the topic lol) Anyways, I actually feel free to watch anime with my friends. They don't care as long as I reply to them whenever they say something like about their crushes and everything. (Too girly stuffs ) Although there was like this one time when I actually fell asleep watching Shokugeki No Soma. My dad was soooooooop furious the next day cause he heard this moaning due to some parts of the anime. It was really awkward since it was my dad but everything was explained and I think they pretty much know now that their daughter is really in to 2D stuffs. After all it was my Mum who introduced (indirectly) me to anime.1 point

Oh yeah, because this just came up in a video I'm watching... anime profile pictures, especially on YouTube. Avoid using them, period, if you don't want to be stigmatized. It's the biggest bait that will get people to mislabel you a weeaboo- Oh right, that's not the correct phrase... A filthy weeaboo. Ah, there we go. What an intelligently-constructed set of six syllables. Definitely only someone of an Oxford degree could come up with something as ingenious as such a statement. Of course, that's just YouTube being YouTube, so it's not really surprising. Still, it does show what people are comfortable saying on a highly anonymous, non-moderated platform like YouTube. It's not the same as saying it on a forum where you'll be banned and especially not in your face, so that tells you what people really feel behind the cowardly wall of anonymity. Then again, there are trolls who do it for the lulz, whatever childish sentiment that means in the braindead world of keyboard warriors. On the other hand, seeing as this just came up on a YouTube video by someone showing his face, openly mocking people with anime profile pics, anonymity might not be an attributing factor here, and the stigma might not be as absent as we want to think.1 point
