Actually pretty annoyed at the moment. My guitar is my pride and joy, and when I was 13 I wrote on it in permanent marker, so of course I began cleaning it, and tried making it look fresh...the marker faded, but hasn't come off. That's the 1st issue...the 2nd issue is that, for over 2 years now I've been wondering why my guitar won't tune right and always sounds a little...off when you play it. Spoiler alert, the strings are rusted..ever since my house fire back in 2020, my family lost a lot, but lucky me, my guitar came out safe...so I thought. The body of the guitar is perfectly fine, no damages other than a few scratches that are barely noticeable, and the DAMN permanent marker...but the strings are a different story. So now me and my family have to invest in some new strings (which cost a pretty penny tbh) and a new will to live. Side Rant Did I tell you guys that I lost my amp too? After the fire, it worked perfectly fine. Until one day I was up in my room, I plugged it in, getting ready to see how it sounded with my janky stringed guitar, and then...it started to smoke. Yes, my amp was practically burning itself up on the inside, and I was confused as hell...so it's been sitting outside for over 5 months, destroyed by now from weather damage I suppose...not like it wasn't already broken... So not only did I lose my amp, my guitar strings, but my will to live as well. If you don't already know, my guitar is like my child, and to see it damaged like this actually makes me frustrated and disappointed. All I know is that...it's gonna cost some money to get this stuff figured out.

VERY late to respond here, but, didn't see this topic now until I just checked in on this club. I've read it (not all the way through) and I...believe I have a valid reasoning for it. It's quite an interesting read. It didn't really pull me in, as I'm more into softer BL mangas and reads more than anything. I will say, it's got a great artistic style, but the storyline and plot..could be better. I feel like it's more of..ahem, sexual based manga, and that is honestly a trope in most Yaoi/BL Mangas/Animes. Which I find displeasing. But overall, it's all about taste, and this is only my opinion you like whatever you like! If that's something that suits your fancy, then so be it. I'm not sure if you're interested, BUT! My taste is a softer, wholesome BL storyline. Which is personally what I'm into... You keep rockin' your taste my friend! And if you want Webcomics/Manga similar to BJ Alex, then I have a TINY list for you. Walk On Water Unromantic (fast paced, but a decent story) Love Me Doctor Hope you enjoy the mini-list, hope we can interact more! Salut!

What can we do to see a more active Anime Forum?

Does this mean we should take the bigger step into turning the forums into a app? I understand that takes a lot of work, but if we had more activity from the moderators and recruited more mods, I'm sure we could pull off an app! It could have a reddit type feel to it, but with a forum thread twist, which could be a good design! I'm just throwing out ideas, I do not want to see this site die, and am willing to do whatever it takes to contribute! -

As a genuine question, I've noticed after being on the forums for a couple of months that, there isn't much activity when it comes to users interacting. I mean, we have activity spikes here and there, but I've noticed that the site has been more dead, and mostly the veteran users have been active. Newbies and just other users in general haven't been as active, and it leaves me to this question...what can WE do as a forum to get this site more out there to bring the family more together? And a question for the Veteran forum users, have you guys noticed the lack of activity on the forums? Or is it just me?

exactly how i'll be doing it!! sheesh man, well, at least you get to relax after working hard for so many years, you deserve it. i'd probably pick up some hobbies, do what my grandpa does and shoot some hoops at the park, or go on a walk. find some things that you might enjoy,...don't be afraid to spoil yourself either man. goodluck.

Finally the school year is coming to an end. That means I have 3 clean months of freedom to relax...well I hope. Although I know I'll be put to work, I know I'll be able to watch hella anime...so that pleases me a lot. I'm also going to my grandmothers for the summer, and her house is very fun, so that will be a nice break for me. My household is hell, and staying there all summer would be a pain in my arse. What are your summer plans?

Currently on my last week of school before summer break! This year was a fun rodeo, but I have another year to go before things get SERIOUS
!! The seniors graduated this year, which was a fun thing to witness, can't wait to see myself up on that stage in the year to come! Still debating whether or not I should go to college..

Thank you! The pfp I had up before was a detailed look at Vincent van Gogh's Vase with Roses. One of my favorite floral still life's of his. The gif cover photo is of Armand Roulin from the beautiful film Loving Vincent. I must have watched it a dozen times already.
Oh, no! The fault is really my own. I had the site owner, Optic, reset my account. There was a lot of personal information, mainly photos that were taken close to my home-that I could not edit off the site and felt uncomfortable that they were permanently visible. I also had some written works here that I'm planning on publishing and was advised to not put them up online before printing. I was very grateful of Optic's communication and help.
It probably left a few people confused!
I try to be active, I really do like AF. Sadly I've been overwhelmed these few months and try to get online twice a week or so.
There's a lot I want to do but can't at the moment.
