Granted, but you disappear. I wish I could see a Pulsar up close.

Granted, but since that occurs inside black holes, you die. I wish all ice were the nugget ice kind.

Anyone have a favourite zombie anime?
Beocat replied to Hatsune_Werewolf's topic in Anime Discussion
Well, a quick tag search brings up these anime (click here for the anime-planet list) of zombie related shows. It is a very small genre. I have no favorites myself. -
Could someone help me figure out the name of this show?
Beocat replied to noamineo's topic in Anime Discussion
[mal type=anime id=1140] This one? The end has a giant volcano bot... From 2006 so close to your timeframe. -
Fanservice is usually eye-rolling. The same blunders (trips and falls on top of girl grabbing boob to push off by accident for example) are used constantly and most do no character development. I see it often becoming a source of hostility between characters (especially in harems where blunders are always mistaken for intentional preference of a girl) and most diminish a shows ability to carry a story well. It has a place in some shows. It does not in others.

Hello Its Very Nice To Meet You All

You could use Facebook events to help advertise the club. Any comic book shops or locally owned bookstores that you can set up flyers at could help. Go to a local anime con to advertise too. -

Welcome to the forum @Nono. We are a friendly group who loves watching and recommending anime. We also have a wide range of ages here so you are never too old for anime. What did you use to watch and what reignited your interest?

Granted, but they are all in genres you don't enjoy. I wish I didn't have to wait for the novels I want to be written.

LOL. I thought so but but you seemed pretty sure. A thought to ponder, folks. In anime and video games, you often have bad characters saying that the things they do are actually not harmful because of .....xyz reasons. What do you all think of this rationalization that frequently happens? For example, in Skies of Arcadia (video game), Vyse claims to be a pirate, but then states that they only attack military vessels and disperse the spoils to the less fortunate (Robin Hood anyone?). So, in effect, he says, I do bad things for a good cause and that makes it all okay. Marika, from Bodacious Space Pirates runs under the philosophy that they are taking jobs (like a mercenary) from cruise ships to rob the guests (provide entertainment and excitement boosting future ticket sales) and the guests are unharmed because it was planned and insurance will cover the losses (also paid by the cruise ships). It must be harmless, right? But someone (probably the insurance companies...why insure them if they are paying pirates to rob them?) is still losing out on the deal. How is that harmless? Anyone else have thoughts on this? It obviously isn't all pirates, but most main protagonists titled pirate seems to have this kind of warped thinking so they can sleep better at night (or perhaps make them more likable?).

Granted, but no matter what you do it will always have a bedbug infestation. I wish money grew on trees...

Knights of Sidonia, Moribito, Ah! My Goddess, Puella Madoka Magica. If you are interested in Space Operas, PM me and we'll chat. I find most all SOs interesting so I am only tossing Sidonia up there because it is easy to find and has quite the good plot and cast. Moribito has a masterful story in my opinion. Ah My Goddess has characters you cannot help but love, and Madoka has unique art, good characters, and a good concept. Sidonia has a great concept and always gave me a Galactica-esque feel. Ecchi is nonexistent in the shows I suggested (Sidonia has harem elements but isn't ecchi).

A short list would be great (with good and bad opinions). Your criteria is just a bit vague. I mean, a great plot or concept and fantastic characters means different things to different folks. My best friend and I have very different opinions of what makes a good concept or character. So a bit more detail will definitely help.

Welcome to the forums, @Streamstar. Do you have any genres you prefer or anime you have already seen and enjoyed? This information will help make our suggestions more focused for you and keep us from suggesting anime you have already seen.

Granted, but you must start with the first ever made and find every treasure chest in each game before you are able to start the next one... I wish pigs really could fly.

Granted, but you may only swim in.....LAVA. I wish I could see anywhere in the universe at any time I wish.

Granted, but you must return it to the Lady of the Lake post haste. I wish life were easy

It actually reminds me of one of the early Enterprise Shuttles on the Star Trek Enterprise opening credits. I have interest...probably not the means...

Mobile view -- not displaying last poster on thread
Beocat replied to XII360's question in Feedback and Support
I had noticed as well but for me it is a godsend. My tiny screen and general lack of hand eye coordination usually sent me to the person's profile as opposed to their last post! Maybe a happy glitch? Hehe.... -
Granted, but like Rosalind (Galactica) you will never live to breathe it.... I wish I didn't require so much sleep...

I proofread my sentences before and after I post them. Sometimes, you think you fixed something and you really didn't. The autocorrect is turned off on my phone so I have to for anyone to understand my text. I got severely irritated by it changing good grammar and appropriate words to different (not remotely similar) words that changed the meaning of my text entirely. I'd rather proofread than use autocorrect.
