  1. Granted, but now you may only live in The Big Rock Candy Mountains....hmmm...that might not be bad actually depending on your optimal lifestyle! I wish Hubble was still working at 100%.
  2. I do enjoy the idea of travel, but I always get the flu or pneumonia or a stomach bug the day of or before traveling. First time skiing, had the flu and strept. Went to NYC with my mom and sister to shop and see the shows, had the flu (I like a walking corpse I was so bad off. My sister used this to her advantage to get deals and seated faster in restaurants). Went to Germany, had an awful stomach bug that had me barely able to eat for the first week there. Roadtrip with my husband, pneumonia. Cruise to Alaska, stomach bug before I even left home. I know my luck is bad. I want to go diving in the Galapagos but I fear what new horror awaits me if I do...
  3. [mal type=anime id=31245] I'm betting you are thinking of this one...
  4. Not my cup of soda, but I can see the appeal to some. For me, a 6.5/10 Open Your Mind ~ Ah! My Goddess
  5. I'm sure you meant Cyborg 009 (truly a good series I agree!) and at long last we have another Tenchi fan! Which was your favorite Tenchi? Least favorite? Mine were War on Geminar (Kenshi trumps Tenchi in personality for sure!) and GXP (I could have written a better one....read better versions too). Outlaw Star was quite good though I fear most people have forgotten it....one of my favorite quotes come from that anime. Nothing wrong with loving the classics. I actually think the classics had better stories and didn't need a bunch of bouncing breasts to hold an audience's attention.
  6. I'm only listing a few that I feel we are sorely missing. I expect you to have them all up in the next 24 hours! Hop to it Anime Curator In all seriousness though, I really just picked a few anime from each group that I thought most people might have seen (and that we are missing). 7. No, I think maybe it's just nasty after all LOL....I just asked a friend of mine who's had it from a professional Ramen restaurant chef and she said it was gross. Uncooked doughy texture gross...pretty to look at, not quite edible though.
  8. Stardew Valley for me. It always used to be a harvest moon game...but Stardew Valley has really captured my heart in the past few years. I can play it forever...
  9. Okay, I had to look it up and I was surprised I had seen it before! I'm wondering...were you using rice flour or wheat flour? And from what I can tell...it is a kind of uncooked dough....so if the texture was really bad...maybe you need to work at your kneading skills? Or maybe you are using a really bad recipe. I make cardamom braided loaves from time to time to work on mine. I'm no master, but what I produce now is at least edible compared to my first several attempts lol... I even ruined the simplest easiest cinnamon roll dough my first time. Still...uncooked dough...no matter how sweet...seems like it would taste like...uncooked dough... >_> They are pretty at least... Helps lure a person in I'm sure...
  10. @ArchieKun Well...if it were me... I'd make a bigger farm... and I'd make sure that my ranch fencing was at least two blocks from any higher terrain (keeps other mobs from being able to walk or fall in with your herd...which can be problematic to get rid of without harming your herds...or they might eat your herd in the case of wolves and sheep). A friend of mine would have decided that was good enough for a start and begun building a mansion lol... It all depends on what you want to do. I usually explore the map for about a week in game before picking my prime spot to settle down, then I build a fairly reasonable house...put down some seeds and farm enough to keep me alive and start up a mine. My usual goal is to get to the Nether as quickly as possible (this will require diamonds, obsidian, lots of time mining). The Nether is quite dangerous, but it is the only place to get netherrack and glowstones (unless you have a village priest for trading). I haven't shared any of my pictures because they are home on my PS4 right now. I also tend to focus on village repairs (villagers suck at building roads lol) and upgrading my villages. I almost always add in a central market for every village I fix. One village I fixed, I built a giant statue of a cat, meant to be their Cat God. And like a true cat...I faced it away from the village so the temple was looking directly at it's butt..... LOL....that part was unintentional but I thought it was hilariously true at the time. Eyes of packed emerald blocks, build from quartz.... On another, where I connected several village areas, I built a temple to the Creepers up in the mountain...complete with a creeper statue and stained glass windows....had holes blasted into the floor and walls to make it appear that they may have actually summoned one or two....created a ruined village just outside on the mountainside... On another, I build a really nice sailing ship, filled it with cargo, a port and a working lighthouse...a bridge connected the port to the local town and I had planned on making flying saucers in the skies above the desert town...attacking off course.... never got around to that part though. Literally, your imagination is your only limitation! Talk about things between the two of you (though maybe start small...like a treehouse spanning several tall oaks... You don't want to take on a task too large that'll burn you out when you are still learning the game) and pick something you'd both like to have. Just keep in mind big projects require stacks and stacks of resources you might have to grind out in a mine...
  11. Welcome to the forums, King Blanketfort. I too am in my 30s and married. I hope you like chatting with us. What are some of your favorite anime? You actually remind me of a friend. He'd probably enjoy meeting you
  12. Haha, I have this one on a playlist actually ! 10/10 Since it is October.... Dusk Maiden of Amnesia's song.
  13. What have you seen before that you liked? I could make suggestions but I don't like wasting my time naming stuff you've already seen. Any genre you absolutely hate?
  14. I go with female almost always my first playthrough and many after. I play an optional Male when I'm in the mood for something different. It is all personal preference.
  15. I have no idea if these are Japanese or not, but the Asian dramas that I have enjoyed are Painted Skin (good action, great easy to follow story, good romance my favorite for romance), Assasin (did not finish it but it was alright), Mojin the Lost Legend (slightly problematic to follow in some places but serious at times, humorous at times, and quite enjoyable...my favorite for fun), and Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe (interesting but the title is entirely misleading and at the same time not. My husband and I were both stunned at the plot twist). Will add more details tomorrow. Good night folks!
  16. You can link them if they are clean (in language) and you are intending to talk about them. Generally, linking to advertise a youtube channel or linking inappropriate content would be prohibited. I think since you are talking about them, you shouldn't have an issue. Link away! Though you might want to only link one or two at first to focus the discussion.
  17. Was this console (and which console if you remember) or PC? And do you remember how long ago this was? I admit my first thought was that it was a Yoshi game but I don't recall him wearing clothes...or green potions...
  18. By giant, do you mean a GIANT (size of buildings for example), or just a tall person (7footer)? And is it a mecha or is it organic? The only other thing that pops into my mind is Straight Jacket. Never watched it so can't confirm there.
  19. Attack on Titan? Has plenty of elements of your description. Will ponder more...
  20. Since you hadn't heard of Indigo Prophecy...had you heard of KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) Jade Empire, or Baldur's Gate? Bioware for a while cornered the market on player led dialogue and choices. Made lots of good games that way too. I think you won't be disappointed in Indigo Prophecy. It definitely is going to lead you to a place you didn't realize you'd go... and it starts with murder.... Even going farther back is the Shenmue series (where are you Shenmue 3?). I really enjoy games that let you do as much or little investigating as you like and anytime my choices matter, I get far more attached to the game. I was in love with Indigo Prophecy. It has choices galore Yeah, Beyond had that problem and I think it was the time jumping. If they had allowed a linear progression prior to beating the game, it would probably have made a bigger impact.
  21. I don't have family walking in on me and I avoid ecchi so really not a problem here. My husband doesn't care what I watch as long as it makes me happy
  22. Multiplayer Games that have been and are generally directed toward single players don't need the useless garbage and wasted development time (that could've been spent increasing the value of the games assets or debugging the game) that multiplayer takes. It is clunky at best in games that are traditional SP games (RPGs for instance) and historically SP audiences don't magically convert to MP fiends! Bah humbug to MP garbage (and it steals my trophies so my complete game looks incomplete!)! I enjoy crafting and open worlds. Romance also does not have to be in every game. Some games it just makes no sense. @the_twig ~swats at your feathers on a stick~
  23. Let me start with Indigo Prophecy (kind of horror) which was the forerunner of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. It actually initiated the "time limit to respond" questioning, actions, and responses. Based off of your actions, you could make things easy or difficult for various characters. Some might even leave the investigation early based on your choices. What you chose to do changed things along the way and some of the endings as well. It also had an "Adults Only" version though I never had the opportunity to play it. Some hated it (especially the sex scene later in the game if you activate it) but I really loved it. Legaia 2 immediately springs to mind as well. You play as the ultimate silent protagonist who can react to various situations as you please (for me it was hilarious. Better to play as a wimp instead of the cool guy if you want to laugh a lot). The fighting was fun but the minor fluctuations in the story from your choices really made it memorable to me. And it wouldn't be the month of Halloween if I didn't gush about Okage! Every choice matters. Your shadow is supposed to reflect your personality (a small shadow may mean you are timid and villagers change how they respond based on it) and there are real world consequences to your actions (for example, being respectful and listening to an elder drone on and on all night because you were too timid or nice to say, "pops, I just don't care about your heyday" may cost you the chance to experience the festival and all its choices and delights! There is a lot to choose in this game which makes it highly replayable. Star Ocean Till the End of Time had plenty of choices between characters as well. I was a Champion of the Prime Directive and ended up alone in the end LOL. Dot hack games utilized an email system for player choices...but if you picked something that the other character doesn't like it ends the chain. I don't think that it does much more than increasing your immersion in the game through the interaction and helping you learn more about the other characters but it was still very nice to have. And last on my immediately coming to mind list is the classic Steambot Chronicles. That game is a true rare gem. So you play as amnesiac with a harmonica Vanilla who washes up on shore... the story revolves around Steambots but outcomes vary depending on your choices and which battles you win or lose. You also get titles that change daily based on your current profession, activities, and personality and your title changes how some people view you. If you spend days in the quarry for fossils, you might get the penniless miner title, but nights in the cellar bar playing the piano for tips might get you a piano related title. The bots are fun to drive and upgrade, the large variety of side quests are fun to pursue and the music and various instruments are fun to collect and play (which can get you lots of tips). You even have romantic interests (note the plural). It's a gem that a lot of people missed for sure. You have some dialogue choices and others based off of certain one time events. Makes for s fun game
  24. I have a "high mountain/terrain" game that I have the same issue with. I love the tall terrain everywhere (lots of water in between too so it is easy to travel between) but I cannot for the life of me find a jungle. I lucked out with jungle saplings in my start-up chest but no cookies for me and no cats either unless I try to plant a jungle forest and hope they magically spawn around the trees. I ended up making a copy of the save and opening the copy in creative mode to see if I could fly around to find one. Found lots of isolated villages but no jungles. Been working on creating my giant map on the wall. Got one more map to fill out to finish it.
  25. Your burnt rice story reminds me of dozens of cooking misadventures my best friend has had Try again!
