  1. Hej, allesammans! It's been awhile, I was hoping to be on here more consistently than I have been, but my health has had other ideas. Despite winter being my favorite time of the year my illnesses just aren't handling it well. It didn't help that I got both terrible bronchitis and a cold. My asthma has significantly worsened and I'm spending many nights unable to sleep due to constant wheezing. However, it's given me plenty of anime time, at least! Along with rewatching favorites I also watched several for the first time: Code Geass Days Log Horizon Denki-Gai Princess Principal Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter, A Sunny Place, and The Hero Chapter Death Note I also finished the autumn season anime I was following, started the winter season, finished my rewatch with my sister of Naruto, and started rewatching Boruto with the same sister (INTJ). Speaking of my sisters, today is a snow day and to make it more special I begged my sisters to watch Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa) with me. They've been hesitant for a while, especially because we have a list of shows we're trying to watch together. But, the snow put them in a good mood and they agreed! They loved it just as much as I hoped they would, which made me so happy! It quickly became my favorite movie and I've now seen it so many times, I'm happy to finally share it with them. Yesterday I started Sound of the Sky, and while I've not had a lot of time to watch it today I have watched a few more episodes and will probably finish it tonight. I'm finding it enchanting! I just loved the first episode and the magical feel of exploring a new village during a festival. The show just gives me good feelings. Anyways, I hope you all are doing well, I look forward to catching up!
  2. I think I've watched five or six episodes? I'm behind because I got distracted with other anime and games. Still planning on watching it, but I haven't caught up yet. I should soon though, before I get too much further behind.
  3. That sounds so awesome, @yururin! I definitely start Death Note soon. Thank you, I thought our hedgehogs deserved special names. Thimble's full name is Dame Thimbletack of River Shribble, then there is Wendy the Sky Dragon Slayer, Tauriel Captain of the Elven Royal Guard, and Nyx Hedgie of the Moor. We didn't name Nyx, one of our best friends did. Lol, that's funny about your cat's name. I once knew a miniature donkey named Smokey. I watched Akira, and while I could follow the plot and understand it I just plain didn't like it. No offense to people who like it, but it's not for me. I finished Code Geass this morning! It was one wild ride and I loved it. Thank you, @Beocatfor recommending it to me! I'm now watching Days, I felt like a more lighthearted anime after Code Geass.
  4. Welcome to the forum! You'll definitely get a lot of anime recommendations here. You might also want to check out My Anime List, it's a great place to look up anime that are currently airing, in certain genres, etc.
  5. Just finished Code Geass. It was just one surprise after another.
  6. Welcome to the forum! I would recommend Yona of the Dawn and The Royal Tutor.
  7. Welcome to the forum @yururin! I've seen you around a bit and you seem really nice and friendly, it's good to meet you. Merry Christmas!
  8. PC or console? If console which do you have?
  9. Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone! I hope no matter what holiday you celebrate you are having a wonderful weekend and making the best of every moment.

I'm sick and stuck in bed for the most part, but so far Christmas Eve has been wonderful and I'm looking forward to continuing the celebration (which includes anime).

  10. That sounds like such a fun anime tradition, @yururin! I haven't seen Death Note yet because I was worried it would be too scary, but after being reassured that it was different from what I was imagining I'm planning on watching it really soon. Also, season three of Haikyuu is so good! Thank you for the comment on my hedgie! It made me so happy. The one in the picture is Thimble, I have four hedgehogs total. They are all rather spoiled on love. So far I've been watching Code Geass today. It's been really good, I'm enjoying it quite a bit!
  11. Just finished the new live-action version of Erased! For the most part, it was really similar to the anime, until it started getting close to the end. The end was different, which really kept me on edge, but still well written. I fully enjoyed it!
  12. Toradora Your Name Your Lie in April Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun Yona of the Dawn Snow White with the Red Hair Ef: a Tale of Memories Inuyasha From Me to You Ouran High School Host Club Special A
  13. That tattoo sounds so cool! I definitely want some anime tattoos one of these days, especially a Fairy Tail guild mark!
  14. Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
  15. I'm in the process of learning Swedish, and after Swedish I have a list of languages I want to learn and Japanese is at the top. For me, I find it helpful to just immerse myself as much as possible. Listen to Swedish music, watch movies and TV shows, read as much as possible, practice writing it, and when possible converse with it. I also try to look up any words I don't know, and I have a notebook I'll take notes in so if I forget the word's definition I can look it back up later, and I can also drill myself.
  16. Woke up even sicker than I've been lately. I think I'm coming down with bronchitis, once again. But, I'm enjoying watching the Erased Netflix Original J-Drama series! Last night I was planning on watching anime on Crunchyroll, but I decided to check Netflix out first just in case. I was all excited when I saw Erased on there, thinking I could more easily get my sisters to finally watch it. I was really surprised to see it was a drama and not the anime, though. I decided to start watching it and it's really good! I'm almost at the end now and I definitely think it lives up to the anime. Has anyone else seen it yet?

      Thank you, @RyePotatoes!

@SleepyLeoulf, thank you! It is really hard to be sick at the holidays, but thankfully at least I'm used to it so I know how to have a good time despite it. I know what you mean about it being worth it if you're with your family. I'm planning on going to tomorrow's family Christmas dinner even if I have to spend the whole evening resting in the recliner, I'll still be with family. It will be far better than last Christmas, which was the worst Christmas yet. :P
Do you watch a lot of dramas? Any you would recommend that don't have too much romance?

Man, I just got better from my sickness, I feel horrible for you; All I had was a cold and I thought that was a lot. I hope you get better as quickly as physically possible. Best wishes, seriously. As for this "Erased" I actually hadn't heard of it until now. I am still currently watching FMAB, Naruto and Princess Principal but I want to check Erased out sometime if I can find the time. I hope you have a great time watching it. :D See you.

Thank you so much, @SAO LILDOOP , that is so sweet and encouraging! It always helps to have support when going through chronic illness. I was working on getting ready for tomorrow night's family dinner earlier, and while it did wear me out I think it was good for me. Moving around seems to have helped clear my lungs up a bit so it's not quite as hard to breathe.
Both FMAB and Naruto are such good series, I hope you are fully enjoying them! I've not seen Princess Principal. If you get the chance to watch Erased, either the anime or drama, I hope you like it!

  17. Thanks for the recommendation, @efaardvark! Tonight I was feeling like something with a bit of action in it, so I started Code Geass. I could be misremembering, but I believe it was @Beocat who recommended it to me? My list of recommendations is kinda long, so it's hard to remember who told me about what. I should write these things down.
  18. @efaardvark, Yokai Apartment is good, relaxing and fun! But you're right, it's not as good at The Pet Girl of Sakura Hall, speaking of I've been wanting to rewatch that again. Definitely watch The Ancient Magnus' Bride and MMO Junkie! If you've seen season 1 of March Comes in Like a Lion season 2 has been amazing. Fate/Apocrapha. Blend S is cute and funny. I've yet to finish Aishiteruze Baby, I got too busy at Thanksgiving, and after that I got distracted by gaming and the ability to watch the Crunchyroll app on my PS4. With all my joint pain it's been nice not to have to hold my laptop or bother hooking it up to the TV. I'll try to finish that soon, though! Today I've been watching Gourmet Girl Graffiti because I wanted a good food anime, but sadly it's not what I was expecting. I mean I'll finish it, but it's something I'm not fully focusing on. I also finished catching up on Boruto!
  19. Happy! Currently taking a breathing treatment for an asthma attack and breaking out in hives, but I'm still feeling better than this morning so I'm thankful for that and hopeful that I might not feel as bad tomorrow. Plus I've been enjoying good AMVs and anime and we were finally able to decorate the Christmas tree last night so that contributes to my happiness.
  20. I absolutely love AMVs! I watch them all the time. I am rather picky when it comes to music (I have auditory processing disorder), so sadly there are a lot I don't like the music for even if the editing is spectacular. But, I still have a playlist of several hundred that I watch frequently.
  21. I can understand that feeling! There are many days where I feel like I'm just going between managing my health and doing what I can around the house in an endless cycle. It makes it so hard to get stuff I want to do done. I hope you get a bit more time to enjoy yourself!
  22. Usually, I'll watch anime DVDs as long as my laptop battery will last, and I'll also take naps to pass the time if my health isn't doing well or if the house starts getting stuffy thanks to living in the south.
