  1. I can see how they would appeal to others, but while I can enjoy a good ship in anime I'm not really interested in romance otherwise, so they aren't my thing.
  2. Yeah, I don't always read reviews, especially if I just come across something while browsing for something to watch. But, often if I'm going to add something to my to-read list I do read up on it first, to see if it matches what I'm imagining. Some people really like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, as I said it's a classic, but I personally didn't like the way time travel was done, some plot holes were annoying, and the main character annoys me more than any other. I would totally recommend Naruto! It really constantly improves the further into the series you get. My sister, INTJ, wasn't interested in it at the beginning, but she kept on because she liked Kakashi and she trusted my opinion. It is now tied with Yona of the Dawn for her top favorite anime and she is properly obsessed. There is so much good about that series, it just takes a bit of time to get into it.
  3. I am a total coffee snob. I am very picky on the quality of my coffee beans and preparation maker. While ideally, I would roast my own beans I don't have the money for a nice coffee roaster, so my current favorite are medium roasted (freshly roasted) whole beans from Whole Foods, which I then prepare in an Italian moka pot. The rest of my family doesn't tend to like coffee and they are tea snobs, and while I can enjoy a nice cup of tea from time to time, I don't tend to care for it. However, living in the south I do always enjoy a glass of iced tea. And for a while last year, until I had to go on a diet, I was enjoying homemade masala chai lattes with freshly ground spices in them daily. Those were divine.
  4. I almost watched School Days, but then I read the reviews and was like "nope". Out of the anime I have watched all the way through I would have to say Amnesia, hands down. Sexual assault, manipulation, abduction, keeping a girl in a cage... and it's all seen as okay? No thank you. There's also a classic I don't like, but I'm always getting more annoyed with it because I can't understand why it's so popular. Which is, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I just can't stand that movie.
  5. @SleepyLeoulf I forgot about Gaara being a redhead! He most definitely is on my list as well. He's my darling little cinnamon roll.
  6. Lately, my lungs have been keeping me awake all night, but it's been easier knowing that my sister, INTJ, wakes up early in the mornings and she'll watch anime with me while she eats breakfast. Today she was able to watch five episodes of My Hero Academia season 2! I'm so happy that she finally saw Todoroki's origins. And of course, I cried again.

  7. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (rewatch) Ouran High School Host Club (rewatch) March Comes in Like a Lion, season 2 The Ancient Magnus' Bride Darling in the Franxx How To Keep A Mummy Sanrio Boys Laid-Back Camp
  8. I wasn't sure what to expect of this when I first saw it, I thought it might be one I would get bored of, but I am really loving it! It's done so well, that the stuff that's usually considered boring is relaxing and peaceful. It just makes me feel so happy and content to watch this, I never want the episode to end. The art and music in it are also great!
  9. I don't really like it when an anime has fanservice, so I don't watch ecchi, but I don't judge people who do. But it can really annoy me when an awesome female character, such as Lucy Heartfilia, is repeatedly used for fanservice. She is such a kickass character with a lot of depth and character development, yet she's often used as someone to ogle at.
  10. Yona from Yona of the Dawn Erza from Fairy Tail Todoroki from My Hero Academia I can't pick just one of these, I love them all so much.
  11. So excited about this one! I haven't started it yet, but everything I see about it makes me anticipate it more.
  12. Japan Sweden Hawaii France Of course there are others, but those are my top places.
  13. Mitsuki (Boruto) Akise Aru (The Future Diary) Appearance Analytical Enjoys observing those around them Mysterious pasts
  14. Thanks! The PTSD actually surprised me in that case, because it's regarding an incident from when I was six years old, and I thought I fully recovered from it years ago. Just goes to show how events in our lives shape who we are. While I may have had a lot of difficult events throughout my life I'm happy with how they've shaped me. Thanks! I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get some help soon. I hope your Monday was great and that the rest of your week goes well, too, @Mars Terra!
  15. @Mars Terra, @Roxeg, you all are so sweet! Thank you for the support, it means a lot. Thankfully I'm not beating myself up over it, that time was just even more emotionally draining than usual, and it triggered some PTSD from my childhood. Lately, while she has had some pretty serious attacks we've been able to calm them down with her emergency meds, so no recent ER trips! Also, regarding my own health, we're trying to get me into a local pulmonologist to help with all my breathing treatments, so I'm praying that will help! I have an asthma specialist, but he's four hours away, so having someone local who could help with this would be great. I'm hoping I can catch up on the forum after I can get some sleep today, I've been up all night. I miss being able to chat with everyone. Anyways, I'm off for now, I hope you're all having a good morning! See y'all later. P.S My sister, INTJ, finished catching up to the current Boruto episodes! Which means she's going to start season 2 of My Hero Academia with me now! I'm so excited to show it to her.
  16. @Mars Terra, thanks! I love them and it's wonderful to be so close. I know, right?! I feel so bad for her and wish there were more I could do for her. The time I recently walked into her bedroom only to find her stabbing herself in the leg with her epi-pen really shook me. I tried to call an ambulance for her but I couldn't stop shaking and I couldn't remember how to unlock my phone. Thankfully my mom was there and was able to call 911 for me. That's good to hear! Oh, cool! Yeah, I live in Central time zone for anyone else interested. Ooh, no I haven't seen that thread yet! I'm excited now and will check it out! @SleepyLeoulf, I can understand your struggle with talking about it. I have clinical depression and for the longest time I didn't talk to my family about it, I just felt like I couldn't. I'm happy to hear you've had some improvements and that your doctor helped! Sadly when my sister saw a sleep specialist it was a super flakey one who didn't care about it. I'm hoping she can find a better one. Well wishes to you, too!
  17. Lol, @SleepyLeoulf, I don't think that's too cheesy! My sisters and I call it the same thing. I'm a rather sentimental person so I like to express my love for those around me frequently. Sucks to hear about your nightmares! My sister has them frequently and it's really hard on her, she's not been able to sleep with the light off for about a year and a half. She keeps her room lit with Christmas lights at night and also puts a movie on, which helps her. But it's still not easy. Especially because her medical conditions are so scary, so sometimes she'll have a nightmare about going into anaphylaxis and she wakes up not knowing if she actually is or not, since she does frequently have strong allergic reactions. @Rudilla, @Mars Terra , I'm so sorry to hear of y'all's sleeping troubles, too! They really are a pain. It's almost 5am here, but here I am awake. At least I got a good two-hour nap in before my lungs got too bad. Asthma is known to get worse at night. Also, I just finished the first episode of How To Raise a Mummy and it was just so kawaii! I used to have insomnia, but after following some advice from a sleep specialist that's usually under control, thankfully. @Baku, I'm surprised you haven't heard of it, it gained popularity quickly and has won a ton of awards! It even aired in some theaters in the US and you can find it at Walmart. It makes me happy seeing it do so well, it truly is a masterpiece. Please let me know what you think when you see it!
  18. Thank you so much! It really is wonderful spending time with my sisters, especially when my lungs are keeping me awake all night and they watch anime with me. It makes it so much easier to get through the long hours. I hope you have a good rest of the week, as well! Thanks! It's such an amazing movie, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
  19. Welcome to the forum! I'm also really into gaming and computers. I currently only have Overwatch on the PS4, but later on I want to get it for PC as well. Generally, console gaming is easier for me, due to my illnesses sitting at a desktop or holding a laptop can be painful, so the PS4 makes that easier. Since you like both anime and gaming you might like Persona5, it's so epic!
  20. Welcome back! I hope your health has improved!
  21. Welcome to the forum! I've not been around much in the past few weeks, but it's great here, I hope you enjoy it!
  22. L is by far my favorite, though I feel like that's probably the case for most people. I mean, who wouldn't love him?
  23. I love reading everyone's replies, but @A Warp Cloneyour reply made me especially happy because I didn't know there was an anime for Ape Escape! That game series was my childhood. My sisters and I played the games over and over again, never getting tired of them. I'm going to have to check that out now!
  24. Sound of the Sky and (rewatched) Your Name. Lately my sister, INTJ, and I have been watching Boruto at night when neither of us can sleep, so I'm hoping to watch a bit of that with her! She just about finished the Village Hidden in the Mist arc, so she's almost caught up to current episodes! She's absolutely loving Sarada.
