  1. Persona5 is an awesome JRPG that's really unique, it's one of the best games of the year. Horizon: Zero Dawn is a gorgeous and emotionally moving post-apocalyptic adventure where machines have taken over. Overwatch is a fun shooter with great and wacky characters and it really involves a lot of strategy. I play all of these on my PS4.
  2. Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name). I watched it twice, back to back, today while cleaning my room, decorating, and resting. It's a masterpiece and I'll never get tired of it.
  3. Japanese snacks are great! Pocky and Koala March are two of my favorites. So far I've tried chocolate, strawberry, banana chocolate, and matcha flavored Pocky, all of which were amazing. There's a cookies and cream one, but that doesn't really interest me. However, online I've been able to find a chocolate azuki flavored Pocky, which I really want to try. I absolutely love anko, so I'll have to splurge and order it someday. I also loved steamed anko or pork buns. On my birthday, back in August, I gave myself a break from my diet (trying to reverse fatty liver disease, so strict diet) and I went to an Asian market and there were so many amazing looking Japanese snacks! I wanted all of them. I ended up getting ube flavored mochi, and it was amazing! Delicious, and not too sweet. I'm almost at my goal weight, so once my diet isn't so strict I want to treat myself to different Japanese snacks on occasion.
  4. I tend to prefer it with honorifics, but I understand why sometimes it might not fit. @Mars Terra, that scene in A Lull in the Sea always feels awkward to me, too! It makes sense in the Japanese sub, but it just sounds weird and nonsensical in the English dub. Aside from that I generally enjoy that particular dub, though. I've seen it both in sub and dub multiple times. I don't really like it when in dub they switch it to Mr. or Ms. instead of using "san", or other honorifics. It would sound more natural to me if they just included the honorific.
  5. Not sure what anime it is, but it sounds cool! I'll definitely keep my eye on this thread to see what it might be. @Wodahs, I've seen some of those, but I'll have to check out the ones I haven't!
  6. Welcome to the forum! It's a friendly place, I hope you enjoy it here.
  7. I've been really sick today, various organs have been throwing fits. My lungs and heart especially, but the others are making themselves known. Pretty much my whole body doesn't want to be a body today. :P Thankfully there has been anime to distract me. At the moment I'm watching Naruto Shippuden with my sister, INTJ. I've seen the whole series but this is her first time seeing it, and it's by far her favorite anime. Currently on episode 457. Really looking forward to seeing what she thinks as the series continues to wrap up.
Hoping I can interact on the forum later tonight after I'm done watching with her. My eyes are acting up today, so we'll see.
    How's everyone?

Please feel better soon dear. *Gives you some soup and OJ* I know distractions always helped me too if I was feeling ill to not think about the pain I'm in or well discomfort of being sick. Just hang in there and gets lots of rest too. I felt a little sore myself when swallowing yesterday so I hope I'm not getting sick as well, who knows though. Taking care of it now though just in case. Take care of yourself, Vivi.

Sending you positive and good vibes your way~

You seem pretty sick, well, try to keep taking your vitamins and whatever else you take; I hope you get better soon. Good luck! Hope you enjoy watching Shippuden!

I've been AFK the past few days between my health and starting Overwatch on PS4. Whenever I like something I tend to obsess, and since I'm liking Overwatch I'm trying to learn all I can so I can catch up to all the good players. There's so much to learn, but it's fun! It's been a great distraction from my failure of a body. ;)

@mechaBD, thank you! I'm relieved because even though I was feeling miserable when I woke up I gradually felt better throughout the day and surprised myself by being able to clean my room.
That's cool that you've rewatched it multiple times! It being such a long series this is the first time I've rewatched it, but I've watched the original Naruto many times. And yes, I loved the ending, it was amazing! I do watch Boruto, however, I'm currently behind and need to catch up. I get that a lot of people don't like it, but I do. Especially the arcs with Sarada and Mist Village. You?

@SleepyLeoulf, aww, thanks! The support of everyone around me really makes the struggle easier. Lately it's been harder since I'd finally been making progress in my health, but winter seems to have made me go back to where I used to be. But I'm working through it mentally and feel encouraged today.
Distractions really do help! I've been switching back and forth between anime and gaming. Did you end up coming down with anything? I hope you are well!

@SAO LILDOOP , yeah, I have a genetic condition and it causes other condition. It's a big mess of "what is causing this symptom this time?". I have a condition that affects my histamines and I'm thinking that might be what's triggering my health currently, my sisters have it too and it's so severe for my younger sister that she'll go into anaphylaxis frequently. I'm thankful that mine,  while making me feel bad and keeping me in bed, isn't life-threatening at this time. Thankfully my mom just picked up my new prescriptions tonight, so I can be sure to stay on my medicine protocol! Thanks for the kind comment, the support from everyone really does help me through the hard weeks.

  8. Welcome to the forum! It's awesome here, I hope you enjoy it.
  9. I hope your evening improves! I'm currently really happy with myself after finally beating a Death Bringer on Horizon Zero Dawn. That thing wasn't easy.
  10. Welcome to the forum, Marshmallow! I hope you enjoy it here. You have very good taste in anime, judging off of BNHA. I absolutely love the series, it's one of my top favorites and I'm always rewatching it.
  11. I wouldn't necessarily say it's made my friendships stronger, it's nice to have anime in common with a couple of my friends, but I don't think it's made them stronger. But, thanks to anime I'm beginning to make friends on this forum.
  12. I'm really liking them! I've seen the first season of the series, but I heard that season two was a real let down, so I decided to read the manga instead so I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm currently on volume eight. Really anticipating seeing what happens next!
  13. Currently working my way through the Fairy Tail and Tokyo Ghoul manga. I haven't read as many novels this year as usual, the last one I read was Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas.
  14. I've never had an anime slump, but whenever I'm feeling uncertain of what to watch next or what mood I'm in I'll just try some short anime in various genres, sometimes in a genre I usually don't watch. Some suggestions: The Royal Tutor Your Lie In April Orange Yona of the Dawn Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun The Pet Girl of Sakura Hall Your Name Little Witch Academia
  15. Trying to decide what to watch, it's hard between all the currently airing anime and my new copies of Your Name and Fairy Tail. I'll probably watch some MMO Junkie and then Ancient Magnus Bride since it's been a high-stress day and that sounds like a good way to wind down. With coffee. And an orange Zevia. Maybe chocolate.
  16. I have many anime role models. Last week on Thanksgiving the afternoon pretty much sucked and my family was arguing and then they weren't able to help with the cooking too much. But after they argued I thought about some of my favorite anime characters and when my family thought the day was ruined I insisted it wasn't, and that we could make it fun, and it helped everyone. Most of the cooking was left up to me, which I wasn't feeling healthy enough for and it was making me really sick. But when I just wanted to lock myself in my room and become Elsa I thought about how the characters always rally together and try their hardest, win or lose. It helped encourage me to keep pushing, and we had Thanksgiving dinner because of it. That is just one example, but I find anime just generally encourages me.

    Hello!

Welcome to the forum, Lulu! I hope you enjoy your time here. Which currently airing anime are you enjoying?
  18. Looking forward to catching up on the forum! I was really busy over Thanksgiving and I ended up overworking which triggered my illnesses. So I've just been binge gaming Horizon: Zero Dawn and Persona5. Thankfully I think I'm starting to feel better, so communicating is easier. Going to try to spend less time gaming since my eyes are terribly bloodshot and strained. :P

    How's everyone?

  19. Thank you, @CheesyTrees ! I just love working on it, so I have a lot of practice. Thankfully even though I've been on a super strict diet myself for the past six months I can still bake for my family.
  20. They are pricy! Thankfully now with the pro version the regular PS4s are a little less pricey, and Black Friday sales helped quite a bit. Today I'm feeling rather sick. Not sure why but I'm super weak and my limbs can't stand for more for a few minutes without shaking. But, I don't mind so much because I'm really into Persona5! It's so good. I feel as if I'm part of an anime. Plus I got attached to the characters super quickly. I played for a few hours last night and most of the day so far, and I'm still only 4% through it.
  21. Thanks for the advice, @Beocatand @brycec ! @BurnsyCEO, that is a really nice option! While I prefer physical copies, I like knowing there's the digital option in case I need it. I didn't realize you needed Playstation Plus to play Overwatch. So, I figured it out and I can get it for a year if I don't get an extra controller. I realized I don't really need the extra controller anyways, and the year-long membership is currently 33% off. Last night I had so much fun playing Crash Bandicoot with my family, just like we used to! The graphics they did in remastering it are amazing! I also watched Crunchyroll on it both last night and this morning, it's so nice! It's really easy and the quality is better than when I connect my computer to my TV. I love how easy it is to take screenshots and record video clips of gameplay.
  22. That's good to hear about Funimation and Hulu! I hope to get subscriptions to those sites someday. Yeah, we always get overly excited! In this case I'm not sure when we're giving sister presents, but the gifts from our parents are cash so we can pick out exactly what we want, and they wanted to let us take advantage of all the sales going on. I started panicking a bit ago when everywhere I was looking was already sold out of the PS4. Thankfully even though Walmart didn't have any PS4s left on the floor the website said they had four left in stock, so I did the free pickup option and was able to get it! My mom just picked it up for me. Lol! She certainly does not back down easily, though when it comes down to things that are a matter of taste, such as anime, she doesn't push her opinion on others. Plus growing up with a bunch of sisters she had to learn not to push too much and when it's okay to agree to disagree.
  23. Thanks, @brycec ! That must be annoying having it log you out. Yes, @Beocat ! In our family it usually comes early since we all love gift giving, but it's coming earlier than usual this year. I'm excited by the Black Friday game sales I found, I'm going to make my order as soon as my mom runs by the credit union for me, which she's about to do! My younger sister, ENFP, is getting an XBox, so my older sister, INTJ, had me help her order her a Christmas gift last night. Used copies of the Dragon Age trilogy. I love Harvest Moon Sunshine Island! The Atelier series looks so cool, definitely adding it to my wish list.
  24. Turns out I might also be getting Crash Bandicoot (remastered) and Overwatch, if they are still in stock by the time I get home from the bank tomorrow.
  25. Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep an eye on it so I don't miss anything!
