  2. Decided to do New Game+ Of Trails in the Sky and I made it to the final dungeon in only 24 or so hours of playtime, including side quests and defeating the lieutenant in Grancel Castle.

  5. Kind of hate how I was reminded how messed up this world is. People are nice, especially the ones I met here, but many do not realize how many things are out there that take away a person’s motivation.

  6. I want to watch Crazy Rich Asians, but it's going to be shown in France in October! Life is so unfair!

  7. When they take either too much freedom in translation (unless its Ghost Stories :P) or stay too faithful to the original. You have to change stuff to make it bearable in anothe language, like above mentioned with "Onii-chan", etc... I also think it depends for who they translate - for children they have to change things so the children understand it, while translations for people familiar with anime can use some expressions or words from the original. FLCL is a good example of the latter - I'd actually suggest to watch it in english rather than in japanese. For most anime, I'd watch it in japanese, but some can be watched in english, and some, I think, should be, like FLCL and Panty and Stockings ... and for some reason Lucky Star - can't stand the japansese voices in there.

  8. So something that really bugs us is when they don’t translate the common words that otakus will probably know. Things like Onii-chan or senpai. Why would any normal person just break into Japanese for one word of a sentence? If the character was an otaku themself, then there’s some excuse, but you see the popular girl characters doing it too. On the other hand, they shouldn’t really try to translate words that don’t have an English equivalent. Things like Tsundere or Kami (in the context of Shinto only. The Shinto Kami are not gods, they’re more like spirits).

  9. Why do you say that. Long as they keep the rings in there is no real danger of infection.

  10. Dubs make me cringe all the time! I feel like it lacks emotions or Idk but something is lacking in dubs! I always prefer watching in the original version with subs!

  11. Though I think it has also some good thriller and suspence moments - and of course comedy :P I'd also recommend Erased, though it has its problems and opinions on it are divided, I like to suggest it. Oh, and Case Closed, though not all episodes can be considered thrillers.

  12. For me it's mostly weird translations. This is more of a game problem, but sometimes, when something doesn't "make sense" because it's seen as "too Japanese" that becomes a problem. I lived through the 90's though, the bad voice acting doesn't bother me that much.

  14. Edit: Man I hate spoiler tags, I always mess them up. Uh, just kinda, open every spoiler, they're kinda inside of one another. Mardock Scramble is a fantastic psychological thriller, and will absolutely have you on the edge of your seat for most of its runtime. Is a movie trilogy, so make sure you have about an hour and a half to spare before you hop into it. Also mentioning, the art is great, and the soundtrack is quite impressive. Warning ahead of time, quite a bit of nudity and gore, so if you have a weak stomach uh, prepare, I guess.

  15. I'd say Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin counts as a thriller for the most part. I binged it within a day or two if I recall correctly. It's not for the faint of heart though, just a warning.

  16. In the Setetori region of the southern part of the Raulbhach continent lies the Mikelti Kingdom, and amongst the seven major cities of this region is the workshop city of Yuidora. This is where a young orphan named Wilfred lives, pursuing his dream of becoming an alchemist. However, soon after gaining his license he gets entangled with three girls with differing personalities and goals, and he soon agrees to hire them as his guards in order to help each other out. Like this, Wil begins his life as an alchemist, surrounded by the ever growing group of his allies as he follows his parents' footsteps in becoming a great alchemist. ~~VNDB~~, no steam sadly, (fan translated by: {Seiha} so, found this image in my storage bin in a website, decided i should add this on the-club-share list~, so lets see..its pretty much a SRPG, with a dungeon-crawling vibe, and item creation/alchemy/shop management type of VN, its very heavy on the story, and has 3 seperate endings for the three FeMc's, each ending is completely different from one another -- e.g one takes you from a very far away land, one takes you to a near land, and one is lovey-dovey route (vaguest i could do without implying what endings lead to) so as description said~ wilfred is dreamt of becoming the best of the best~ like no one ever was~, and to do this, he proceeds to capture all the pokemons after passing the alchemist exam, his story begins..but what great adventures behold this young, aspiring man ?!, find out next time in the next episode of dragonball z to much inside jokes <.>, but yea, that's pretty much gist of it, story of the game is pretty damn deep, but the game can get pretty grindy, that is if you, aim to increase levels and stuff, i remember taking more than a week on this game and being only 60% on story, i blame doing all the side quests, which you must do~, overall i rate this game a you-must-try/10 also, as per any eroge's not released on steam, this VN contains R18 scene's continue at you're own discretion or something~

  18. I considered Baccano! too. I think it is more Horror/Comedy though. It has a lot to offer and somehow does it well in such a small timeframe. Guess PsychoPASS would be s good pick too.

  19. I always think of Perfect Blue & Paranoia Agent when it comes to mystery & suspense. And Monster would be great except you can't find it anywhere.

  20. Baccano! Though its probably more mystery, its suspenseful, I think. And Paranoia Agent, definitely this one, by the great Satoshi Kon.

  22. Kaiji is a great series about a guy who gets caught up in a yakuza gambling scheme, and is forced to play various games for other's amusement or become a slave, or even die. There are two seasons, and a currently airing spin-off with one of the yakuza men as the protagonist. Selector Infected WIXOSS and it's sequel, Selector Spread WIXOSS are card game anime, but you don't watch it for the card game. You watch it because everyone is a god damn psychopath. Really good mysteries and psychological warfare. We actually consider it better than Madoka Magica. There is more to the WIXOSS franchise, but don't watch anything other than those two seasons. The rest of them are really bad. Noein: To Your Other Self is about time travellers coming from the future to try and find an artefact that will prevent a trans-dimensional war, and the destruction of the world. That artefact ends up being inside a girl, who must be sacrificed for it to be used.

  23. I only have two piercings (both earlobes) which is super duper normal for a girl. I don't think I'll get more. As for tattoos, I don't really like to have them on my body. Definitely not a fan of big tats, but I like some little cute designs like stars on wrist or ankle on someone (but not on me).
