Seems like there are plenty of guy players, but they’re mainly a bunch of no names getting pwned by Maple & the other girls May as well be NPCs Looks like next week will be Maple vs the Flame Emperors’ leader (or as other players are calling it “The Main Event”). Maple has The Hammer Sisters backing her up & Mii has the priestess and the traps dude. Though Maple could probably make them all wet themselves & RLH if she does her demon transformation.

Crunchyroll is doing anime adaptions of some webtoons. Tower of God, Noblesse & God of Highschool are the ones they’ve announced so far.

The R.O.D. Ova was more action oriented & it wasn’t immediately clear how it connected to the TV series, but became clear later. Love Yomiko & the Paper sisters. Season 2 of Ascendence of a Bookworm is scheduled to start in April. Starts kinda slow, but gets very interesting. Even though it’s set in s fantasy world , it does retain the medieval realism of a society where the general populace is illiterate & the only people with access to books are the wealthy & the church.

I used to read all the time as a child. My parents would take me & my sister to the library every week. And then all through college & my early working life I would read during my lunchbreaks. It’s a habit I’ve gotten away from for various reasons, but would like to get back into. Most of what I read is either fantasy or scifi since that is what interests me most. I’ve always been a physical media person as opposed to ebooks or audiobooks. On a related note, here are a couple anime with bibliophile MC’s you might want to check out

Hope you get to feeling better. I think the Castlevania series has pretty much ran it’s course for me. Snarky dialogue can be entertaining when it’s one or two characters, but when it seems to be a defining trait of every character it gets old fast. Also seems like they feel they have to remind you it’s an “adult cartoon” by making sure every sentence has at least one profanity. I don’t find it offensive, just tedious. I like Sypha & Trevor as a couple, but they didn’t seem to grow at all in season 3. And the whole subplot with Alucard & the twins seemed pointless other than as an excuse to have a Again another hamfisted attempt to be “adult”. The graphic violence actually doesn’t bother me because if fits the horror aspect of the show.

Most of the time it’s at least 20 miles to the north, but still too close for comfort. Will probably have a lot of branches/limbs to clean up tomorrow.

Warm for this time of year (61F at almost midnight) but sounds like we might have a storm because I can hear the wind gusting. Hate it when it’s like this right before bed because worried about a possible tornado when I fall asleep.

Just announced that season 2 of ReZero has been postponed until July due to production delays related to the Corona virus. Another series was delayed earlier for the same reason, but it was one without much hype. There’s obviously bigger concerns, but wonder how many other series will be impacted. If it comes down to it, I can always make some headway on my backlog list

Actually I just used VS because I didn’t feel like spelling out Vinland Saga again Hopefully we’ll get a second season since apparently that was just the prologue

I considered it to be a pretty typical harem comedy myself, but it was popular enough that there’s supposed to be a second season later this year. From what I remember it isn’t really ecchi, but not very original either. And personally didn’t like about half the characters. I just finished the season’s final episode of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun which I found surprisingly enjoyable. The plot revolves around a 14 year old who goes to school in the netherworld after being adopted by a demon (actually, he was sold by his deadbeat parents While the emphasis is on comedy, there actually is a bigger story that we get a hint of during the school festival arc & the fact that the throne of thee demon realm has been vacant for quite some time. It won’t appeal to everyone as it can be pretty silly & cartoonish, but for people who don’t like excessive fanservice or violence it stays in PG territory throughout. Season 2 has been scheduled for next year & I’m already looking forward to it
