I was 15 half a lifetime ago and things felt simpler then than they do now. At this time in my life my only job was going to school which I was in comprehensive school or high school. At that time I was still living in my home country of Finland whereas I only recently moved to the United States for a job. I was still learning English then and my English wasn't as good as it is now, even if I still struggle with some English words now. Around that time of age 14 - 15 was when I discovered and began watching anime and getting into playing games on the computer regularly. Overall I think my life was very carefree then with less stress and hassle than that of being an adult with adult responsibility. Another thing I remember was in the Summer of the year I was 15 we took a vacation to China in Hong Kong and to this day remains one of my best vacation experiences.

Sounds a lot like My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex. According to MAL that’s from 2022 however so It’s probably not the one you’re looking for. You might want to check it out tho if you can’t find the one you’re looking for as it seems similar. I believe I’ve seen it on Crunchy recently. edit: yep, it’s on crunchy

As the title says do you like watching a anime series that you have already seen more then once, or even over and over. For me I fall somewhat in the middle on this spectrum so to speak. I like watching series I really like more then once over, and over again. Though with that said there are some mostly the shorter newest series that just seem to lack re-watch value at least a lot of the time. For me some examples include, Yu Yu Hakusho, dbz, Fruits Basket, No Game No Life, P4A, Inuyasha, Yugioh DM, Pokemon season 1. There are more of course, but thats a few I can think of right now. So what about you guys?

So who here is familiar with Japanese mythology? Because if you aren't you are missing out on a lot of what's in anime. For example in the 80s we were all pretty uninformed and thus we thought Mario was turning into a raccoon, rather than a tanuki. So we had no freaking clue why he could fly or turn into a statue.

i'd just like to apologise for some of my past responses to this thread. while i still stand by what i said, tha minors should not be sexualised in anime (or any media) my previous reasons were just stupid little things with nothing to back them up.

Words like the F-bomb should, in my opinion, not be said in T.V but okay with that in movies that are rated for it and you know you are watching movie that has swear words in it. Daytime television I view as being the prime target to family and children or teens and so I don't think there should be a lot of swearing there. Later night television I feel as if is more for adults or older people who are watching so the restrictions of words shouldn't be so much. I hear more swearing on television nowadays than I did as when I was younger. It could be just that now I watch shows or later television where it happens more. I am not someone who is so bothered by swearing to stop and think about it when I hear it in a television show or anime however.

I have liked season 1 of this series as a 6/10 if I were to rate it but the reason I did not finish watching season 2 and 3 yet was because I also was not sure how I feel about the season 1 or if I like it enough to continue watching it. On the one hand I thought perhaps will like it more if I finish all the seasons as some shows become more interesting in later seasons. I like the character Suzune the most in the show even she comes across as anti-social and stuck up but I feel a bit sorry for her. She seems to be a caring person but tries to hide this fact. I am actually not much a fan of the main character Kiyotaka because the personality of him I don't like very much, though I understand that he is lazy and appears unintelligent on purpose in the show I find the character boring and this is what makes me consider if I would continue with seasons 2 and 3. Somehow I feel since I started the anime I should finish the series and watch the remaining seasons to see if I feel different after finishing it all.

@Grampos I do not have an answer for you, but I do have a suggestion: Go to MAL To the right-hand side of the page, you will see a "Jump to" followed by a drop down for the 4 seasons and a field for the year. You can use these filters to search all the anime that exists on the MAL database for a respective season and year. I actually went through every season and year on MAL one time to determine what series I have never seen. My area of expertise resides in older animation up until around the year 2000, after that animation is kinda hit miss with me, with more miss than hit Good luck in your journey to find the answer and if you do, let us know.

Some time back I started an anime and unless I accidently started mid season in the first episode the guy is carrying a girl through a dungeon with monsters chasing them. for at least part of this he's carrying her on his back. She's not clothed but somehow she ends up with some animal fur of something to wrap up in. I'm watching Arifureta right now and the scene when he rescues Yui reminded me of this other anime. It's possible the scene I'm remembering is the one from Arifureta, But I don't feel like it is. I'm pretty sure it was a was other anime.

Okay so this year several shows and movies have peaked my interest; Obviously I watched Whispers of Dawn and am now hyped out my mind for the coming series. Psycho Pass Providence - I'm gutted I couldn't find a cinema showing the film close to where I lived, but I am going to watch this movie the most I get; This anime caught my eyes a while back, Lazarus - a team up of Mappa, Shinichirō Watanabe and Chad Stahelski, defiantly caught my attention. I'm not as big a Gundam head as @MarathonGuy1337 and likely others I spoken to on here and elsewhere, but Gundam 'Requiem for Vengeance' And finally, its finally here. The sequel to rebellion, I am so pumped and damn the visuals look awesome. Anyway those are my anime I'm looking forward to coming out soon. What are you guys and gals excited for?

I'm not sure if it counts as non-anime, since it's slightly similar in aesthetic, but I recently started watching Avatar the last Airbender (the cartoon), and it's got me hooked fairly quickly

Today is the 40th anniversary of my all time favorite game show, Press Your Luck. A quick synopsis for those who have never seen the show: Three contestants answer questions to try to earn "spins". These spins are then taken to the Big Board, which has a constantly changing configuration of cash and prizes to win each time you stop the board. However, lurking on the board are the Whammies, who take away all the winnings of those unlucky to land on him. For the past 15 years, I have been fortunate enough to be able to host PYL at anime conventions in the NY/NJ area, and sometimes beyond. Early on in the life of my run, various friends were kind enough to help add to the ambiance of the game by creating some original "Whaminations". They were inspired by the ones from the original show that have the Whammy posing as various characters and celebrities. And many times, the end result sees Whammy getting blown up, flattened, or otherwise humiliated. So, in a fitting tribute, I wanted to share the Whanimations that I've had all these years thanks to my friends' help. Hope you like them. Title; Iron-Blooded Orphans ( Part of the mobile suit gundam series ) Genre (according to Google); Anime, Mecha, Military Science Fiction, Where to watch; Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll, Funimation Now. or you can buy it. Length; 25 episodes IBO is one of my favorite animes ever. There is so much action, some sad moments, some happy moments, and just a rollercoaster of emotions. It gets you attached. Its also decently short, so you won't get tired of it, or you can watch it while taking a break from a more extended series! Warning; There IS quite a bit of blood & fighting
