Ohayotaku
Catch Me at the Ballpark episode 5 - I was seriously considering dropping, but this week’s ep was my favorite so far, so will stick around. Raven haired meganekko baseball fan. Apologies to Ruriko & Yamada but Murata’s kohai is a keeper
Bulletje76
Windbreaker was awesome but S01 ended pretty weak. So was afraid to watch S02. But watching the first 5 episodes now and it is okay again

Sakura Dragon
I just completed the Netflix exclusive anime Sirius. It was good! The ending was satisfactory for the most part but I wish there was a second season. I just started Shangri-La Frontier. I am on season 1 episode 5. Bulletje76
Watching Dan Da Dan this evening. I saw it was nominated for anime of the year. So gave it a go. I wouldnt rate it that high but it is amusing and unique

Agree that Sirius was under-appreciated & deserved a continuation. Feel the same way about Netflix’ Spriggan series. Holding out hope though since it was several years before Dorohedoro’s 2nd season was announced (though there haven’t been any recent updates on it’s status). Hope you enjoy SLF, it’s one of my favorite recent anime. A lot of people complain about the lack of real world consequences or when the focus shifts to a different game. But the fights are still high energy & I really like how the main trio are kinda friends but also troll & trash talk each other. Also really like the rabbit NPCs (Emul, Vysache, Bilac, etc.) 50 minutes ago, Bulletje76 said: Watching Dan Da Dan this evening. I saw it was nominated for anime of the year. So gave it a go. It was a lot of fun last time, with the bonkers animation style amplified by the big screen & having other people laughing along with you at the antics As for myself, dropped Mono & put Zatsu Tabi on hold. Keeping Food for the Soul as my weekly dose of CGDCT SOL (though there’s no way the characters look or act like they’re college age).

You’d previously mentioned Campfire Cooking in Another World & Restaurant to Another World which are probably the most enjoyable of what I’ve seen. Toriko is an action shonen series with an emphasis on cooking & food, but more like DBZ or One Piece than the D&D elements of typical fantasy series. If memory serves, Farming Life in Another World had cooking elements in it, but the emphasis was more on village & harem building. I haven’t seen Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family, but concept wise sounds similar to Restaurant to Another World with characters from the Fate franchise (has a decent score & I’ll probably check out eventually). Also haven’t seen Shining Hearts or Sweet Reincarnation (food seems to be a recurring theme, but MAL scores aren’t very good)

Sakura Dragon
I started Tokyo Ghoul. I know that’s a popular one. I also dropped Shangri-La Frontier. It’s just not for me. It’s boring and I’ve stated this before but I am not a fan of video game anime.

Ohayotaku
The subtitled version of Lazarus episode 1 unlocked on the Adult Swim app this weekend, so I’ll probably be following it weekly now. Hope it holds up better than Ninja Kamui did.

Animedragon
I'm watching Konosuba. I heard a bit about it on here and thought it might be a bit of fun. I was wrong, it's not a bit of fun. it's a LOT of fun!

Bulletje76
I watched Yona of the dawn for the second time. I cannot believe that despite its popularity they never finished the anime. It has a very open end, where the manga (which i dont read) ended 10 years later.

Ronin
I just started watching Digimon Adventure — it’s my first time watching anything from the Digimon series. I kept seeing stuff about the 25th anniversary and got curious, so I finally gave it a try.
Ohayotaku
Just finished Fire Force S3 Ep6. The series has had better episodes, but I felt like this week was it’s best so far this season. @Wickett sorry if I’m wrong, but I believe you were the one who asked my opinion about Burn’s motives earlier so it seems Burns has always dedicated himself to the service of a “supreme being”. His adollo link revealed that to be The Evangelist. The fact that the “God” he had served was not benevolent but wanted to destroy humanity did nothing to diminish it’s overwhelming power. Joker also realized he stood no chance of defeating The Evangelist but decided to fight anyway. Burn’s felt his direct resistance wouldn’t do any good, but by setting himself up as an obstacle that had to be overcome, perhaps it would force the newer generation (Shinra) to become strong enough to do what he couldn’t. Basically, talk is cheap. You say you can defeat “God”, prove it because you don’t stand a chance if you can’t beat me. Overall an awesome episode, but I was left kinda apprehensive by the ending, because apparently they’re going to try being funny again. I realize it’s a matter of personal taste, but a lot of times the series’ sense of humor doesn’t land for me & the repeated instances of interjecting it at highly dramatic moments just kills the forward momentum. Still keeping my fingers crossed it will work out this time.
