Ohayotaku
Binge watched the first 4 eps of Oshi no Ko season 2. Also started the 2nd cour of the Rurouni Kenshin remake (in preparation for the new season in October). And watching “Ippon” Again! to earn a badge on MAL. Digimon_Sommelier
Various Digimon anime today. I mostly liked watching the Season 3 finale of Digimon Xros Wars. The fact that it doesn't have an English dub yet has been an ongoing crime!!
efaardvark
Recently checking out 魔導具師ダリヤはうつむかない , aka Dahlia in Bloom. Seems a little slow so far - I've only gotten to the part where her fiancé dumps her and she starts her own company - but I'm hoping it picks up a bit based on its Japanese title. (My translation would be something like "Magical toolmaker Dahlia won't give up" or "..won't look back". I'm a bit uncertain of how to translate "うつむか" here but it definitely seems more interesting than just "bloom".) Going to come back to this one at the end of the season. Animedragon
Having now finished watching Series 3 of Sound! Euphonium I can say that it effectively demonstrates why I prefer to wait until a series is finished and then binge watch it. If I'd had to wait a whole week between each of the last 3 or 4 episodes I would probably gone crazy! As it's been 2 years since I watched the first two seasons I rewatched those first. Kumiko and her friends in the Kitauji High School Concert Band are now in their 3rd year, and Kumiko is now club President. In the first series the focus was mainly on the various members of the band coming together and rehearsing and practising their instruments and leaning how to play together. Series 2 moved away a bit from the music towards the interactions between the various members of the band. The 3rd series continues this to the point where the actual band playing becomes the background to the interactions and conflicts between the concert band's members, this I think was a good thing as it stopped the series becoming a replay of the earlier ones. Throughout the three series the Kitauji High School band has been striving to win Gold at the National High School Band competition, and as 3rd years this is Kumiko and her friends last chance to succeed. Did they make it? Spoiler Yes of course they did! The real surprise, although it shouldn't really have been one, was in the epilogue after the final episode's credits where several years later Kumiko enters the music room and introduces herself as the band's assistant advisor. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series and would happily watch it again at some time. Edited August 7 by Animedragon
Wickett
Started Battle Game in 5 Seconds last night, stronger start than I expected honestly, so I'm curious to see where it goes from here.
Animedragon
I've now finished watching Jellyfish Can't Swim In The Night, a curious title but then it's a curious series. I wouldn't say it's a bad series, but I didn't think it was a particularly a good one either. I found the first few episodes a bit slow and the story lacking in any sense of direction, although it did improve as the series continued and towards the end there was a definite sense of purpose to the story and the character's actions and the final episode did end on a positive note. Overall I found it a fun series to watch but I'm not sure if I'd want to watch it again.

Rei878
I did a watch-party of madoka magica with a couple of friends, ik, it's in 2024, but I'm seriously impressed over how well it has aged. After finishing the anime and heading over to rebellion I just accepted that I would never understand the plot lol. After watching countless analysis and theory videos on YouTube I think I'm starting to get it.

After watching countless analysis and theory videos on YouTube I think I'm starting to get it. For a series 13 years old Madoka Magica has aged very well and is still an interesting and highly watchable series which I've watched several times. Rebellion is a strange film, the first time I watched it I didn't understand any of it. But, like you, after watching a load of YouTube videos about it I think I might understand some of it.

Ohayotaku
Finished season 1 of the Rurouni Kenshin remake & found it enjoyable enough that I will probably watch the 2nd season (starts in October). Made a bit of progress on “Ippon” Again! (CGDCT + judo). On the seasonal front got caught up on MHA & started The Elusive Samurai (kind of like the overall story, but not really a fan of it’s sense of humor & jarring artistic style it uses at times, so not sure if I’ll stick with it). Favorite seasonals at the moment are Oshi no Ko, Isekai Shikkaku & Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines (though I’m planning to binge Dededede, Yatagarasu & Tower of God). Ohayotaku
Finished “Ippon” Again! Going into this I didn’t know much about judo as a sport. After watching this, have to believe a girl who does judo is NOT someone you want to make angry. Liking the new ED for Makeine as we are now on Komari’s arc Catching up on Reincarnated as a Slime & plan to resume Dededede tomorrow as we head into the last month of the summer season of anime. Ohayotaku
The Summer season of anime is starting to wind down. Finished Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan today, will finish Ramen Akaneko tomorrow. By the time the weekend is over I intend to finish Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian & Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai. Looking ahead, I saw the first 3 eps of Dandadan at the movies last weekend & found it entertaining enough to pick it up during the Fall season. Soramee_
Watched 11 episode of 2.5 jigen no ririsa. At first I thought it was just gonna be a ecchi show that I wouldn’t watch but it got really really good after the first episodes and stop being too ecchi or at least toned down on it a lot.
