@Ohiotaku thanks the only one I haven't watched is Baccano I'll give it a try.

      Ohayotaku

It’s by the same guy as Durarara. Let us know what you think of it.

      RuthisianCodex

Black Butler, Made in Abyss, Mononoke, Claymore, & Fire Force are some good ones. Hope you find something to watch :) Oh & you might also check out Gleipnir(it's new & only has 3 episodes so far but it has a bit of a Tokyo Ghoul feel in some aspects & a LOT of sexual innuendo, just fair warning).

  2. The first 2 episodes are out on crunchyroll. It was much anticipated new adaption of the comic. I was a little worried with anything that gets too much hype and I did not want to be disappointed. However I was surprised at how good it was. First I wanted for the first time to look at reviews just too see sometimes when I see reviews are reaction clips they are a little overboard in my opinion but it was pretty decently accurate. Okay Let's get down to it. First episode starts off with the beginning of how and little of why they each entered the tower which was a little vague but later on when Bam (main character) flashes back to his past you get the sense of the story and what Rachel (vague second main character) means to him. The op was freaking excellent montage sequence and fantastic song by Stray Kids (kpop group) also the ending song is by them. It gives off a good raw emotional feel to it. The sound effects/soundtrack during the show is really good also. Like they have this music playing while Bam is running in this cave and it had like kinda creepy music playing in the background that gave it this really chilling effect like you were there too. It was cool. I felt the art style of the show is a bit choppy but honestly I think it compliments the feel of the anime in way. There are already so many interesting and intriguing characters. Oddly enough one of the side characters become my favorite Evan. He is freaking hilarious. He has kind of a dumb demeanor but he is smart and provides various comic relief. Though this anime is a bit action, adventure, drama feel and has some really funny comedic parts that keep it from kinda of tipping over the too serious point. So I think there is quite a balance that I feel is rarely seen in anime. Also the character Lero Ro in ep 2 is voiced by Kenjroo Tsuda I love that mans voice. This fantasia of sorts would be a good way to describe the journey so far. This is definitely a must watch anime.!!! Down the rabbit hole we go!
  3. Ok about to check out Tower of God. There are 2 episodes on crunchyroll I can watch. Then I will report back on what I think about it thus far.

  4. So I totally couldn't fall asleep last night and now I am extremely tired but i still feel a bit restless and my mind is just going so I guess I'll drink some coffee and figure something out to do. I started watching Brave 10 last night. Well I watched the first 2 episodes like awhile ago I kinda remember how it started but thought I should just start it over.  I feel like the priestess character is a little overly clingy for me but I was digging it. probably finish watching it today cause I don't have anything better to do right now.

  5. So I watched an anime called 11 Eyes. Now It was pretty decent however there is a side story called 11eyes: Momoiro Genmutan it's a one episode side story. It takes on a weird bizarre XXX-rated turn and it was highly amusing to watch.
  6. Okay Everyone so I already updated my status a little while ago so I would like to continue on that note by making a few blog entries. Since yet again it has been some time since my last post. I don't know if I have mentioned to you all before but I quite the procrastinator while I am at home. So my room is a hot mess and it takes me forever to do stuff also as a Gemini I tend to get sidetracked a lot so I never really finish anything I actually start. Ugh sometimes I just wish I could get together while I'm home. Also I said only at home that's because when I am at work I'm totally different person. Diligent, hard working, problem solver, communicative, real people person. I wasn't or is not popular but when I think of a character I probably most resemble Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan. Anyway I digress back to the main program. lol. There was a few things I wanted to talk about one is this will be the only mention of things in the world right now as I am sure others are already talking about things and frankly I am sick of all this craziness and wish to not talk about it. I do however care very much about the people's well being and mental health so like I have said before if you need a friend to talk to I'm willing to listen that aside my blog shall bring happiness with reviews of anime's, manga, Japan, kpop, and jrock, among many other things. Ok moving on. I love Haikyu it is one of my top 10 favorites I can watch this series over and over again. That being said I was a bit disappointed when the new season is WHAT already over. Just 13 episodes I don't know why but it felt awfully short to me. I mean it is pretty standard 12 to 13 episodes per season but looking back The first and second season were each 25 episodes soooo you know WTF. But the wait shouldn't be too long. Tentative date will be sometime this July with 14 more episodes. So I CAN'T FREAKIN WAIT!!!! Second season of Fruits Basket started and I am already highly irritated at Motoko that girl I just wanna punch in the face. The first episode introduce a couple of new charcters who were highly strange to put it mildly. See what story those two bring. Other than that the episode was kinda plain honestly. But we are just getting back into the swing of things so I am sure there will be more adventures and drama awaiting. My looking Forward/New Season List Some more SAO - Now I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this series. I will say I quite like however it does not make my top 10 list. Since I'm older I quite like some old school stuff but I have invested a lot of time in watching all of the series thus far. It's got some good qualities I feel the new story arc is a little lacking compared to original and GGO season's. I felt it was a little slow in the beginning but now that some of the original cast is starting to come back into action it is starting to feel more like itself sort to speak. Assendance of a Bookworm - I love Myne (sounds like Mine) she is the main character. Okay if you haven't watched this little gem I would. Classified as Isekai. Basically a reincarnation into another world. She is thrust into and frail poor girl, though she isn't alone her whole family is there don't get to sad on me. But this world is quite different and there is a lack of books which well from the title guessed her previous life she was a bookworm and thus part of her struggles begin. She super kawaii it's an adorable funny story. Guess I just started second season it was a really short break in-between that last couple episodes so I don't really call it a second season in my opinion. Food Wars 5th Plate - Soma is my jam. LOL. I absolutely love Food Wars I can't get enough of this sadly I believe this will be the last season. I have been thinking after this is over I might start reading the manga cause I love it so much. Highly anticipating what and where the shows going. Tower of God - Now I haven't watched the first episode of this but I'm hoping it will be decent. The story sounds good so we will see how the plot unfolds itself. When I watched the preview up the upcoming season there were a few shows I was interested in but I didn't freaking write them down at the time thus I can't remember what they were. So we will see when they come out and I will update you all on the promising new shows. Sorry forgot one. The 8th son? Are you Kidding me? - An isekai also. First episode was quite entertaining and I feel will be very funny and interesting to watch. During the first episode the opening montage does't happen until the halfway point of the episode was quite weird but it was an awesome rock song. SPOILERS!!! The main character is a salary man and after getting off from work prepares a meal and right before eating falls asleep and wakes up in a very strange place and is also now a young boy. He thinks he is rich nobility but it's more like poor nobility and then finds out that he isn't a 3rd son but in fact the 8th. Anyway some other funny stuff happens and it was pretty good.
  7. Hey all you crazies,

I mean that's what we are all feeling probably. Most places being on lock down everything feels so topsy turvy. Anyways I'm doing well despite being out of work like so many others. I've been studying my Japanese since I have so much time on my hands. Also crafting, reading, watching anime, sleeping a lot, eating and drinking alcohol seems like the thing to do. Just kidding not drinking that much. Mostly being a couch potato. I haven't posted a blog in while so I need to get on that ASAP (sorry btw).  I forgot was going talk about some stuff but I guess I'll just put it into my blog.

  8. So I hope that everyone out there is doing okay or the best they can be. I'm out of work right now sucks but what can I do about that but just try to stay positive. I know many might be feeling the same. Recently found my self a bit depressed I think mostly from being stuck inside since most places in the United States shut down. So can't go out to eat or movies or anything like that. There is only so much you can do inside your house before you start going stir crazy.  I decided that if i got to move around like exercise I might feel better and sure enough. So I plugged in my WII and put in some Zumba and after a  few dances and some sweat i feel much better.  So if you find yourself feeling down for what ever reason just doing a little cardio it might help.

I hope that you find a new job as soon as possible. I know that doesn't do much for you right now but maybe there is some comfort in knowing that someone is sincerely wishing you well.

@RuthisianCodex It's just a temp layoff.  My work directly involves schools so as soon as school comes back I can go back to work. Also I really don't think many are gonna hire right now since everyone is suppose to say home and many places are shut down till they say its okay to reopen and resume business. Also thank you I appreciate your words though and I am staying positive.

Hopefully you will be alright until things get back to normal. A few close friends and FAM are in the same situation as you (temp lay off).

I would go crazy if I just stayed in. My friend started making YouTube videos about how to stay sane during covid. Its comedic and a good thing to help him deal with life right now. Hopefully you'll find other things that happily preoccupy your time :)

  9. So watching Goblin Slayer and there was this really cool freeze 360 moment. Have to say that was pretty cool.

    1. Ohayotaku

      Ohayotaku

I thought it was a decent series, but got too much attention (both positive & negative). On a side note, the MC’s seiyu is also the MC in Cautious Hero which seemed kinda like satirical casting :P

  10. HAHAH I found something to watch although I finished earlier and started something else. So I finished Dororo in 3 days I could have done it in one sitting but as a functioning adult i couldn't devote a full day to watching. I started Drifters I must say it's fun and interesting to watch. Lots of characters to follow though.

    *SPOILER*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dororo was excellent but a little disappointed about the ending.. All that time together and they just split and imagery suggest that they may have eventually reunited. Lame I am not asking for some fairy tail ending but I thought they would show a little more of a future for them two.

    1. Ohayotaku

      Ohayotaku

Dororo definitely deserves more recognition than it’s gotten IMO.

  11. So I don't know what's going on with me lately. I have a few shows that I am watching right now. mostly new content so I have to wait for the episodes to air first before being shared. Though usually while waiting I'll watch stuff that is a older and has all it's episodes already out. But lately I'm bored almost like nothing is really peaking my interest. On one hand I feel like you can never watch too much but maybe I'm a little burned out or I know what I wanna watch but not finding the exactly thing.  Like when you're hungry craving something but you can't exactly pinpoint or you know what you want but you just don't have it in your fridge or cabinet. *sigh* ahh thanks for letting me vent. *sigh* Hope i figure this out soon.  Any suggestion or comments are welcomed!!

I know the feeling, on both accounts. The fridge incident being extremely disheartening since I love food.

But with anime, I've found myself to just be more choosy with what I'll watch and can only watch anime if it lines up with my mood at the time. So certain shows get put om hold if I'm not in the proper mindset to watch it. Thats why it took me so long to finish fruits basket, and Flying Witch, even though they are both good shows. Maybe you will find this about yourself too.

  14. So I totally binge watched the first season. Honest speaking the the music genre anime really lack for me sometimes. So I was a bit hesitant to watch but the clip I saw sounded beautiful so I thought I would give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised but the depth. This is more like what I want to see a mix of music and good plot. I don't know if it was the sound quality of my t.v. but sometimes I found it hard to hear the lyrics of the songs being sang. Anyways it was refreshing to hear and follow their story.
  15. So I updated my about me cause It's been a few years. This is what I had originally written Hi I am a 33 yr old single parent. I love anime and manga among other things. Pretty much in my free time these days I watch anime and read manga. To: About Me Hello, I am in my mid thirties. I am a single parent to my adorable son. I was born at the end of May making me a Gemini. I fully embrace my twin soul. I work as a photographer and I am part of a family crafting business. I served in Army National Guard/Reserves for 8 yrs and then served another 6 yr working a Federal Government job. I live at home again with my parents. Not ideal but that is life for you. I am glad I have family support though. Since I am on here I guess you already know I love anime and manga. I love Japan one day I hope to see it with my own two eyes. I'm trying to learn Japanese. I am an avid bowler have been bowling for 20 years my current avg right now is 158. I also love to read urban fantasy.
  16. So I wanted to put out there that if anyone wants to talk about anime, manga, or life I am here to listen.  Or if anyone wants to ask me question I'll try and answer.  Sometimes I get bored or lonely and I like to talk with people who like that same things i do. Well irl I don't have anyone I can talk with about these things. So I am thankful I found this cool place to talk and chill.

Hi @LonelyPoet How are are? I don't know what your time zone is  so good morning/afternoon/night.  LOL

  17. Hey everyone, sorry for such a long wait for the next blog post. Between mostly working a lot and this past week being sick I haven't posted anything so I better stay on top of it more. That being said it's review time. Also like always I'll try to not spoil the show but sorry if I do. If you don't know this about me I watch anime or read manga every free chance I get and in doing so I watch a lot of shows at one time. I'm always on the look out for something new or if a favorite gets another season I am all over it. I watch a few different internet sites like crunchyroll or on netflix. Recently I binged watched an Netflix original called Levius (pronounced Lay-ve-us). It's also the main characters name. This anime although may be classified as sporting since it revolves around a sport called metal boxing I would have to say it's a bit more of a drama type. The aesthetics of the world surrounding them is like 1940'ish with a steampunk vibe. They have mecha advancements and such. Metal boxing is boxing with arms that basically are replaced with mecha like structures. The world is a bit different as when in you get a short history of the mechanism that drives metal boxing. Something called Agatha water has a unique ability to interact with human blood producing steam. However the steam that's created can be manipulated by the user (blood donor) in other words. The first episode starts off with him already in the ring fighting an opponent like a quick glimpse of things to come. By the end of the episode and the next one is really how it all starts. A young boy from a war torn town. You learn of his background and how he got to where he is now. It's a bit sad but you also find out why there was conflict in his town which you might have guessed from what is written above. Greenbridge the town Levius lived in had this unique water source and well they lived on it and it may have changed them internally being exposed to the water all the time. So naturally a conflict arose wanting the rights to this water. A company called Amethyst supposedly swept in to help and stop the conflict but the rumors say it had underlying evil intentions as in kidnapping orphaned children and do experiments on. Levius finds himself has a young boy who was trying to rescue his mother but ends up losing an arm and being saved by his mother. As a young boy who already lost his father during the war and mother who is in a coma he is shipped to his Uncle who used to be a boxer back in his day. There is another main character sorta of in all this a young girl from the same town he couldn't save that later turns up in the ring. Levius stumbles onto the metal boxing and well the rest is history. This story is so great. Fighting to find something you feel is missing. The opponents you fight bring something to your understanding. Levius is innocent but not naive, simple and straightforward. I real genius in the ring. He ends up helping the other fighters through the fighting. The supporting cast gets little backstories that make not end up hating them. The accumlation comes to head as you learn AJ a fighter being manipulated by an evil guy who is the owner of Amethyst. The sad truth of a lot of things come to light and Levius tries to save AJ. Everyone comes to back up Levius on this even though it becomes very dangerous. I really would recommend this anime. Even if you don't like sport or boxing the story and plot is very excellent. It really draws you in.
  18. Hello everyone,

It's been a little while since my last post but well I have been busy with work and I was recently sick. Still got a nasty little cough but feeling much better. In my off time I still watch a ton of anime so I thought I'd get on and do my usual blog that I was trying really hard to stay on top of. So sorry I haven't been on for awhile.

  19. Sorry it has been awhile work has gotten me so busy. Anyways wanted to talk about something new I watched recently called Black Fox. Who doesn't love a badass female woman. It starts off nice and sweet. As the main protagonist Rikka Isurugi is the gra ndchild of the Isurugi clan of ninja warriors. Her father is scientist who wanted to go a different route from having to kill. She trains with her grandfather but like her father she rather help than hurt. However after growing up and returning to tell them some good news her world is shattered and well she decides to take up the role of avenger. She changes her name and begins her quest and well I leave the rest for you to watch. Can't give it all the way. If you are a sappy person like me make sure you have tissue handy there are a few cry moments in there. I give this a thumbs up I hope they make it into a series. Right now there is movie/ova. P.S. I totally want to cosplay this.
  20. Mushi mushi everyone.

OMG my work got so busy i haven't had time to breath i feel like and the few days i actually have I have had to spend them working doing like a yard sale with the family or one of our crafting events. In way i still worked on my days off. But it's all good. I love my family and I love my work so I am happy.

So I don't know if I have said before but our family has a small crafting business.  I thought I would attach some work we do just to share.

  21. I am alive...... Hahah

Not that anyone cares. Hope everyone is doing well.  I just been working, raising my son, watching anime and reading manga. I really don't have much of a life but that's okay with me. Anyway well I'll post soon on my blog on what I have watched later.

    Matane!!!

      Looking forward to it :)

  22. So It's been ages seems like since I last posted sorry about that been a roller coaster of business and lulls but for someone reason despite all that I was watching I haven't logged in and write anything. FYI: I try not to give spoilers but there might still be some. Okay so I had watched the first 3 episodes and then I kinda just left it for awhile and I just finished it up finally. Well I really like this series but honestly the first and second season of this arc were a little crazy to keep track of as far has the different for a lack of a better term Parties. There were so many different groups and characters galore I definitely still feel confused about it. At the same time the main plot line seems very clear, to me anyways. I totally feel like there should be a breakdown of everything somewhere online to accompany this season. It had a nice tidy ending which for this series I think definitely needed that happy ending after all that suffering and craziness. It was definitely worth watching.
  23. SO I totally e-read I have several apps on my phone that i downloaded. So I have to pay some are free or I get points for reading then I can use those points to get locked episodes and stuff. Saying all that I still like having a book in my hands and turning the pages myself call me old school. lol
  24. Yay!! I don't think you will be disappointed!!
