  1. My favorite overall character is Deku. For why, see my post in the My Hero Academia main topic earlier today. As far as the adults, I think probably Eraserhead (sorry Allmight ) Favorite quirk would probably be Darkshadow (reminds me of the Venom symbiote in a way) though the possibility of it running amok like during the training camp attack is a problem -_-;
  2. In addition to the currently airing stuff I watch weekly, I’m going to try to finally cross Puella Magica Madoka off my PTW list since there’s a new series coming in January. Also need to catch-up/finish Vinland Saga and Carole & Tuesday before the end of the year.
  3. @efaardvark Is the weather I’m hearing about out there having any impact on your plans?
  4. The only movie I plan to see in theater anytime soon is Rise of Skywalker, and and at this point it’s more about being a completionist than actually looking forward to it. Episodes IV - VI as a whole are probably my all time favorite movies, but I honestly don’t expect them to be able to clean up the mess that was The Last Jedi (of course I thought the same thing after Attack of the Clones but Revenge of the Sith was at least decent). To give you an idea of how burned out I am, I’m not even interested in the Mandolorian.
  5. While I haven’t read the manga, it seems to me the direction things are heading is that Deku realizes he needs to stop thinking of things in terms of “What would Allmight do?” Instead of just going toe to toe with his opponent until one of their bodies give out, he needs to figure out more innovative ways of using his quirk. He’s already demonstrated a gift for analyzing situations as well as the quirks of his opponents and allies and coming up with workable strategies. I also think Deku will be more the type to fight alongside others & be more inclusive rather than largely acting solo or with the occasional “sidekick”. He’s already earned the respect and trust of many people he’s met and in recent episodes even Allmight said he’s inspired him to overcome Sir Nighteye’s prediction.
  6. @Illusion of Terra despite watching Sesame Street & Captain Kangaroo as a kid, can’t say I was ever a fan of Mr. Rogers personally. Not sure why, but Tom Hanks sounded like kind of an odd choice for the role somehow.
  7. Spend time with family, though it’s different since my parents passed. We don’t do the big home cooked meal anymore, instead going out to eat with my sister & her husband and kids. Usually invite along some friends who don’t have extended families nearby (think there will be about 10 of us this year). Afterwards, go back to one of our houses and talk/reminisce (and snack of course). Maybe watch a holiday movie together. My dad was the only one who was really into all the football games
  8. So seems like a lot of new content is in the works: Season 2 is supposed to debut sometime in 2020, though an exact date hasn’t been set. A 2nd OVA episode is supposed to become available on CR & Funi’s sites on 12/4/19, though it’s sounds like it will be an excuse for fanservice more than anything (similar to the 1st one) And an article on ANN says a 3 part OVA story involving Rimuru teaching Shizu’s students is in the works https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-11-26/that-time-i-got-reincarnated-as-a-slime-anime-gets-3-more-original-anime-dvds/.153702 While not guaranteed, the fact that the other OVAs have been made available online make it likely they will be too.
  9. I share your love of puns & am easily amused (or bemused) Welcome & hope you enjoy it here
  10. Agreed 100% The series has a number of similarities to spaghetti westerns most notably, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. And I think Sugimoto & Asirpa reminds me a bit of True Grit. “Saichi Sugimoto, a veteran of the Battle of 203 Hill in the Russo-Japanese War, works as a miner in Hokkaido in order to provide for the widow of his dead comrade. He hears a dubious story about a hidden trove of Ainu gold, the location of which is hidden in the tattoos of a group of convicts who escaped from Abashiri Prison. When he discovers that the story is true, and that multiple other groups are in pursuit of the gold, he decides to search for it along with Asirpa, a young Ainu girl.” Along the lines of Trigun, there’s also Gun x Sword
  11. There was Gun Frontier which was essentially Captain Harlock in the wild west https://myanimelist.net/anime/1706/Gun_Frontier
  12. Welcome to the forums. Looking at your profile page, I imagine you enjoyed this week’s episode if Iruma-kun. I think Clara is a great mascot character, but Ameri is more my preference While I do enjoy some fanservice or ecchi comedy series, when it comes to hentai no thank you. There was a pretty active discussion here on Kimetsu no Yaiba when it was airing, but not so much now. Waiting for the follow up movie (wonder if they’ll eventually make another tv series or rely on movies/OVAs going forward). MHA seems to be dragging a but at the moment, but hopefully the action will pick up soon. Anyway, hope you enjoy it here
  13. Every source I’m aware of says on indefinite hold.
  14. A couple US streaming updates: The 2nd Reincarnated as a Slime OVA will be available on Crunchyroll & Funimation on 12/4. The promotional image & that it’s supposed to be a sumo tournament suggests it will be light on story and focus on fanservice & comedy Also, the 2nd season of Takagi-san will be available on Netflix beginning 12/6.
  15. Unfortunately it seems increasingly rare for Netflix & Crunchyroll to make their “exclusive” titles available on discs. Guess it’s their way of exercising control. I personally would love to own copies of Konosuba, Yuru Camp, Little Witch Academia & A Place Further than the Universe.
  16. I’d actually been expecting them to try and more with him since he’s the only character who really seems to get along with Bakugo I was actually amused at the villain with the blades sticking out of his hands complaining about how useless his quirk is, since it’s basically the same as Wolverine (though I guess it’s not that badass without the healing factor & indestructible skeleton) ) Also how Fat Gum was basically Blob (guess it’s my former X-men fanaticism resurfacing )
  17. That’s the tricky part Amazon, maybe? I primarily use Righrstuf since they have both a pre-order & recent additions link on the home page. While I believe they ship internationally, pretty sure their listings are just region 1
  18. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it here
  19. “Cute” isn’t usually a word used to describe a 7 foot tall demon, but Ameri is an exception
  20. Welcome to the forums I’m finding Iruma-kun surprisingly enjoyable myself (can’t wait to see how things play out between him & the student council prez). After School Dice Club & Average Abilities isekai are fun too. Planning to binge the second half of Vinland Saga once it’s over, but will have to wait on Netflix to release Beastars. Anyway, hope you enjoy it here.
