What anime are you watching now?

Recommended Posts

Watched the anime movie, Fireworks by Studio Ghibli. Haven't found an anime by them that I don't lke.

Watching a bit of Zatchbell. Two reasons; nostalgia and because I can't remember what it was about.

Still watching Peacemaker Kurogane every chance I can get.

Besides the currently streaming stuff I've been watching the second season of Dagashi Kashi and finding it entertaining.

Even though it's only on the 2nd episode, I have a feeling that My Roommate is a Cat will be the series I most look forward to each week 😊.

On the  darker side of things  I'm also watching The Promised Neverland & Rising of the Shield Hero (Edit: adding The Price of Smiles in this category as well). Boogiepop & Others too, but I intend to  wait a couple weeks between viewings so I can binge episodes.

Continuing favorites: Mob Psycho 100,  Reincarnated as a Slime, Gegege no Kitaro & Hinomaru Sumo.

Cells at Work.  This guy has got to be the most unlucky guy alive.  I'm only on episode 7 and he's already had pneumonia, influenza, an allergy attack, food poisoning, a parasitic infection, an infected scrape, heat stroke, and now he's got cancer!  He needs to take better care of himself!  :D

I am watching SAO currently. The first season is over and it was fantastic.

I'd like to watch next two seasons, but I'm afraid Asuna will suffer again.

Well, it's time to ask for spoilers (yeah, I'm strange).

So, write me please if Asuna is going to suffer or not. Very worried about her.

Joshiraku... pretty challenging material for this non-native speaker, but I had fun watching it and I did get at least some of the jokes.  I kind of doubt this one could ever be dubbed well.

Joshiraku follows the conversations of five rakugo storyteller girls relating the odd things that happen to them each day. Their comedic and satirical chatting covers all kinds of topics, from pointless observations of everyday life, to politics, manga, and more. Each girl has something new to add to the discussion, and the discourse never ends in the same place it began.

Each of the rakugo girls has their own unique personality, with the energetic but immature Marii Buratei; the seemingly cute Kigurumi Haroukitei; the inherently lucky and carefree Tetora Bouhatei; the calm and violent Gankyou Kuurubiyuutei; and the pessimistic and unstable Kukuru Anrakutei. These girls—and their mysterious friend in a wrestling mask—give their observations to the audience, either backstage at the rakugo theater or in various famous locations around Tokyo. written by myanimelist.net

So I haven't watched an anime in 2 years, well that was the last time I watched recent anime so as you could probably tell I'm really far behind but my friend convinced me to start watching them again and we've started off with Goblin Slayer, after that I'm gonna go back to finish anime that were still coming out at the time and have since finished up!

Watched some Rurouni Kenshin last night, picking up where I last left off over the summer. I'm grateful that Netflix streams it, along with Inuyasha.  Both of them are very nostalgic series for me. They still hold up surprisingly well even after all these years, though the animation looks kind of outdated.

What types of anime do you usually enjoy?

Currently I'm watching Haikyu! Never been in to volleyball but it's a good show.

Lupin III (2015), actually my first Lupin III anime and I'm liking it so far (halfway through). The aesthetics, the animation and drawings fit the series well. The characters and their stories are intriguing and hillarious at the same time.

Trinity Seven - Just starting the series now. Looks to be on the pervy side which I have no problem with, lol.

Finished Peacemaker Kurogane the other night, gonna give the manga a read now.

Having slept through all four of her alarms, the energetic Narumi Momose finds herself running late for her first day of work at a new office. As she races to catch her train, she makes a promise to herself that none of her coworkers will find out about her dark secret: that she is an otaku and a fujoshi. Her plan goes instantly awry, though, when she runs into Hirotaka Nifuji, an old friend from middle school. Although she tries to keep her secret by inviting him out for drinks after work, her cover is blown when he casually asks her whether or not she will be attending the upcoming Summer Comiket. Luckily for her, the only witnesses—Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura—are otaku as well.

Later that night, the pair go out for drinks so that they can catch up after all the years apart. After Narumi complains about her previous boyfriend breaking up with her because he refused to date a fujoshi, Hirotaka suggests that she try dating a fellow otaku, specifically himself. He makes a solemn promise to always be there for her, to support her, and to help her farm for rare drops in Monster Hunter. Blown away by the proposal, Narumi agrees immediately. Thus the two otaku start dating, and their adorably awkward romance begins. written by myanimelist.net

Zombie land Saga. I lmao at the 1st ep. While it never quite reached that level of humor again, there were also some emotional moments through out and it was still entertaining. Needs a follow up season/movie/OVA though

Gokinjo Monogatari and Toei's Yu-Gi-Oh!. I loved collecting the cards even if I wasn't good at the game so I figure it's time to give the show a try. Not sure if I'll tackle Duel Monsters just yet though.

"Tsurune"—It's the sound made by the bowstring when an arrow is released, and the sound that inspired Minato Narumiya to learn Kyuudo, a modern Japanese martial art focusing on archery. However, an incident during his last middle school tournament caused him to quit the sport.

But soon, many factors conspire to make Minato take up the bow once again: the start of a new Kyuudo club in his high school, a chance encounter with a mysterious archer, and the support of his childhood friends, Seiya Takehaya and Ryouhei Yamanouchi. Together with his childhood friends and his new teammates, Kaito Onogi and Nanao Kisaragi, Minato rekindles his love for Kyuudo and works with his team toward their aim of winning the prefectural tournament. written by myanimelist.net
