  1. So I've been reading berserk manga, and one that most shocking is- its world becomes fantasy settings from a realistic medieval. Magics, dragons, goblins, fairies, scary creatures, sea monsters, undead, etc will appear worldwide! If this happens our world will look like final fantasy XV or shadow hearts where a real life modern settings has fantasy creatures and magics. Personally I don't believe in fantasy settings but I'm still a Fan, and I still have a feeling this could happen. Do you think this could happen? Maybe the Vatican church is hiding some shit seal that could change the world into fantasy that is guarded to prevent it? Do you think it's possible that our world will turn into fantasy world? It's kinda interesting question.

  4. How could I forget one of the best songs I've ever heard from episode 2 of Paranoia Agent? The 1st time I heard a snippet of this in the show, I literally stopped & looked up the full song & then proceeded to dance all over my living room!

  9. So i just found this show on netflix (it's a netflix original) and at first i was gonna give it my benefit of the doubt for 5 episodes. Around episode 4 i started to think it was going to be pointless and another unfortunate wash, but BOY DID IT PROVE ME WRONG! I binged this show in TWO days! Season 1 on day one and Season 2 on day two! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this anime - it's fucking PHENOMENAL! it is taking me so much restraint not to write everything in caps! have you seen it? what did you think? i don't want to talk too much about it until i know i have people to talk about it with because i don't want to spoil A THING!!!!!!! OMG SOMEONE PLEASE DISCUSS!

  11. There once was a little mirror. He was loved by many and disliked by several. Those who admired him complimented him for showing them the truth. But those who didn´t would always get mad. ,,It don´t wanna see what you see. I don´t wanna hear what you think. Show me what I wanna see!´´ So, the little mirror, scared and intimidated, kept quiet. And he met their expectations. And the little mirror showed them all the lies the people wanted to see. But with each lie, a scratch appeared on his face. Small little scratches. At first, he brushed it off. ,,Wounds heal with time. It will be better soon.´´ But when was soon? Soon, his whole glass pane was no longer a single pane but scattered it many many little pieces. He was scared. He didn´t dare to open his eyes. He couldn´t bear it. Bear the change he went through. He was angry. At all the people. Yes, all the people, who told him, whom he´d believed in... He was angry. At himself. He had enough. He couldn´bear it anymore. He wanted to go back. Return time. To a time, the the scattered mirror used to be a little mirror. -spätixD

  12. Weird AND obscure? Pretty sure that honor(?) would go to Papuwa. Strikes me as a parody of Dragonball (before Z) with wardrobe inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Like, Sometimes you really need to look back to see if something really matters and it is worth it to do so with History. Feels like adventure, you know.

  15. Lol, don't go out of your way! It would be cool to see. Actually, I really like art history. I've also taken a lot of courses that tie into religious studies and art...religion in general and have taken some American history while in university. But, I won't lie that wasn't my favorite class I get more into it when you dive into the why and the societal development at the time more so then just timelines? So one or two classes in a basic subject wasn't enough and the idea of being a historian is overwhelming to me. XD if that makes sense. (You must know a lot of a given subject). I didn't realize we have a history club (lol knowing me I probably joined and forgot about it.) you would hope your passions had some greater universal goal, but I think it should ultimately be more selfish as a start to become a passion and the rest just follows.

  19. An OK anime (the plot doesn't begin until Episode 15 lol) but a very good portfolio of music. The intro song 'Shell' by Bana is awesome too and probably more appreciated than the outro track which is just as good: Then there's this from Inuyasha. Everytime this started playing it was pure excitement

  21. It's from the Video game. There isn't an anime of it (yet) It'll be super awesome if they have it though. And for now they're only on 9. 30 would probably happen 100 years later. XD By then I wouldn't know what they'll add in it since 9th is already very compromising.

  22. I hope we get to see some of your artwork in the future I agree though, art blocks are super annoying. I'm passionate about learning. I'm naturally quite curious. Sometimes it can be annoying to people. Sometimes I think I am invasive (if so I am sorry in advance but once I am interested in something I dive right in). I too am passionate about art, history, languages and psychology.

  28. I'm pretty passionate about art and games. Also upcoming anime(s) (Duh) But if it's about something more specific then I'd say Astronomy and Archeological stuffs. There's just always something very soothing and interesting about them. Like how big is this universe and how you don't have the knowledge of it. And curiosity will just get you hyped up. Not only that It's also very beautiful. It's something you can't find anywhere else unless you look up. As for Archeology, The secrets of this earth yet to be unsolved, Doesn't it make everything super interesting? (At least it does for me) Like how many tribes were there, What kind of Culture they had, What belief they took themselves into, What magical things that they witnessed, What sort of World was it back then. I think if there's some other thing I'm passionate about then it's Art. I like drawing. That's just pretty much it. I find it relaxing enough to put me out of stress. Even though sometimes it can be source of stress when you hit artblock. (Sorry I guess I'm a little too talktive because of the quarantine)

  29. Currently going on with the Study Case of Vanitas by Mochizuki Jun-Sensei. And what can I say. She's very good at plot twists and her art is very wonderful. But that's just my personal opinion. Feel free to check it though. You won't regret it. Try Mushihime, It's a little short but it might worth spending time on. It's a little disturbing though. Can also try reading Pandora Hearts. Both of them are completed series.

  30. YES!!!! I love them!!! I never heard of them!!!!!!!!! YES!! This was an awesome adventure. I've been listening to a lot of Foreground Eclipse since you've sent this. Thanks a bunch!! Ya. I heard of all of them. I love L'arc en ciel. Back in 2006 I couldn't stop listening to them. Ken was my favorite member!! Yes! I've heard of all of those bands! I actually saw Offspring in concert a few times. My favorite song by them is the meaning of life! I love the Gazette Hyena, Reila, and filth in the beauty are amazing. I was sooooo close to seeing them in concert, but I could't miss work. However, I got to see direngrey that next year!!! direngrey and gazette are competing for the spot of my favorite band!! I love band maid! They're pretty good!! I've been listening to them a lot. I am still getting around to last alliance. I have heard them briefly while working out, but I love what I am hearing so far. Thank you!!

  32. World Without Logos is grimey, fits Hellsing well. It reminds me of the alternative intro to Speed Grapher which they used for the American DVD releases when they couldn't get the rights to Girls on Film by Duran Duran. That's a nice little piece. I've not even heard of Ookami Kakushi so I'll have to add that one to my list

  33. you know, there is one anime that has stuck with me for a long time due to the soundtrack. the anime itself wasn't what made it memorable to me, it was the music. it was ookami kakushi. whole soundtrack was beautiful heres a playlist for the OST

  35. im passionate about the hidden web and alternative web protocols! i think peer2peer networks and tor are just neat. not that im doing anything illegal, i just hate ISP's and their ruling of an iron fist on webhosting. theyve made it more and more difficult over the years to personally host your own pages, with bandwidth restrictions, requiring you to pay for business packages, and censorship. i miss the decentralized internet from the beginning days, theres a new protocol im really into that works peer2peer that i nerd a lot about. im also passionate about idk, permaculture i guess. i like learning to support myself in ways that don't harm or help the environment. i like lettin the weeds grow, i like natural home pesticides, i try to divert waste by recycling and composting, i like planting native plants, i like making use of the weeds. its something that's really helped me cope these past few years, nature is always giving.

  39. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it here My love of anime started back in the late 70s early 80s, though I just got into streaming about 3 years ago. I’ve seen a lot of series over the decades, but there are still “classics” I haven’t, but will offer what knowledge I do have.

  43. </me actually reads the topic title for a change. > If I had to pick one thing it is that I'm passionate about the future. Charles Kettering, an engineer and inventor once said, "My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there." Same here. And by extension science, technology, and especially space. From everything I've read and heard, the type of future we'll have is overwhelmingly determined by the human population of the planet. There's already way too many people on the planet to live "naturally", so we have to somehow learn to be more efficient with what we have. Science and technology can and has been helping with that. A lot. However, that's not enough. No matter how small an environmental footprint an individual has, when multiplied by the billions and billions of us it always adds up to "too much". And the population in most parts of the world just keeps growing exponentially. (Worldwide it is just over 1%/year last I checked.) True the population is showing signs of an S-curve, but that just means we're already running into resource limits. Worse, our economy and social structures are all geared towards infinite expansion as well. Companies have to grow profits year over year over year. The Fed targets a 2% per year expansion of the economy and panics if you even mention the word "deflation". Unfortunately the simple fact is that there can be no such thing as infinite growth on a finite planet, and we never learned how to live sustainably on our own without nature taking drastic measures to keep us in check. I'd rather we learned how to live sustainably and comfortably. Certainly we should give up on boneheaded, wasteful ideas like "consumerism", and burning "fossil" fuels for energy. Thing is, we don't show many signs of doing so at the scale necessary. Likely we don't have the time to do so at this point even if we wanted to, at least not without major disruptions and severe consequences. So that just leaves one place to go for the resources. Or rather, everywhere but one. We need to get into space in a huge way. Industry would work better and certainly pollute the Earth less if moved to space anyway, provided it has a resource base to work with. I've spent pretty much my entire career working with projects that help us learn how to operate in space and to explore space. My favorite projects have always been either the ones like Pathfinder or Deep Space One (and later Dawn) that test out new technologies or ones like MRO, Odyssey, or LRO that find and map out where the basic resources like water and thorium are. Also of course the projects that help better manage the resources we have here on here on Earth. I love seeing the advancements made by companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin. We need to do this.
