My thoughts on FQ’s rationale:

Of course I remember the “good old days” when you had to wait years for an anime title to be licensed and you only got 2 - 4 episodes at a time, usually months apart. And it was on VHS & still cost you $20 - $30. So we do indeed live in a golden age :lol: For what it’s worth, the animation for the fight against the T-Rex was awesome as well

That stinks. I haven’t watched any of the episodes dubbed and this certainly does nothing to change my mind. Had they been pretty consistent up too this point?

I liked the first Toby Mcguire one, sequels got consistently worse. Couldn’t stand the “Amazing” ones. I really liked Homecoming as a reboot and am definitely looking forward to the sequel. I was going to skip Spiderverse because of it's visual style, but took my nephews to see it and liked it more than I thought I would. As far as Harry Potter, I liked the first two a lot, the others not so much. LOTR was pretty good, but I’ve only seen the first of The Hobbit ones. On a side note, my favorite foreign language film is probably Pan’s Labyrinth

Pretty sure you mean Flip Flappers ... oops, looks like I got beat to the punch on that one. But yeah, it’s use of different visual styles (all fantastic) was definitely memorable.

The original Star Wars trilogy (episodes 4 - 6)

Episode 16 was all kinds of awesome. We get a look at what Filo has the potential to become, though it might take a couple centuries. Good to see someone finally giving Naofumi the talking to he needs, though the note it ends on makes you wonder how things will go down next week. Also good that Sword & Bow are finally starting to believe that Myne and The Church are up to something Definitely hyped for the rest of the cour.

Still undecided on Midnight Occult Civil Servants. Not a fan of the BL overtones, but do like that the supernatural creatures aren't all yokai (examples so far are angels, pixies & the Aztec deity Huehuecoyotl)

I didn’t have a problem with the end results of this episode, just the stereotypical way it all played out.

It supposed to be a short run time slice of life series with no spoken dialogue. Give that synopsis, I was expecting it to be more “artsy”, but the first ep just left me feeling “Wut?” 2nd ep wasn’t as weird, but still not that interesting.

Welcome glad you found your way here. Members are pretty friendly so you should be able to find some folks with common interests. I haven't seen Golden Time yet but it's on my radar. I've seen a number of slice of life series I've enjoyed. Favorites are Azumanga Daioh, Yuru Camp, Flying Witch & K-ON!. As far as romcoms, I liked Recovery of an MMO Junkie & Re LIFE. Most games I play anymore are retro (primarily my 2DS XL, but hoping to get a Switch sometime in the near future. Hope you enjoy your time spent here

They're one of the banner ads that show up when I view this site. I gave their site a brief look. Looks like it's mainly attempts to imitate manga style comics & most of it's 18+, so not really my thing.
