Maybe even to the point that you rate anime with that genre considerably high even if the anime itself wasn't that great? For me, comedy is one of my favorite genres, but its not uncommon that I come across anime that just has dry comedy, and I'll rate those kinda low. I honestly can't say for certain, but maybe something with a fantasy element to it, but at the same time a bit of realism or series that involve a character having a legendary historical destiny or whatever. Yuuki_Radosian Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 I tend to lean towards Romance and Fantasy and Horror / Gore often all three overlap so I'm kept happy , like with Berserk (mmm. . . that was tasty *NOT FOR CHILDREN though* ). I enjoyed SEED and SEED Destiny very much, but as for the latter the story, mobile suits and Lunamaria were my main attractions. Kira I didn't mind, but Shinn? I had to rewind and watch him get shot down by Athrun. I hated Shinn more than I hated Flay, which tells you something. However, unlike Flay, you hated Shinn because of his character development and behavior. Flay on the flip side had depth and made you root against her. Lunamaria I somehow love, regardless. I laughed when she told Athrun how to control Shinn and she was a solid everyday and realistic ace pilot. She cried for legit reasons, unlike everyone else and she piloted a slightly used Impulse. Needless to say, she was the person Shinn needed. But they should have left Shinn with Stella and let Luna be with Athrun since peace loving orb hugging princess wasn't interested. However, one of these days Bright is going to slap Shinn after Kira get's it... Still waiting... And admit it, SEED Destiny had the best wedding crash in mecha history. I love mysteries and those kind of stuffs. I don't exactly know why but in that particular genre I never get tired watching it. That also goes for the action part. Romance is by far my favorite genre although I do like some anime without romance in it. Any combination of the above genres usually turns out great to me.
