i just binged Twilight Out Of Focus! i'm a sucker for things that focus solely on romance, so i enjoyed it, haha. it's about three couples getting together in highschool and they're all in/tied to the film club. it was twelve episodes and each couple got three-four episodes centred around them each (the finale was centred around the main couple as well). because of this, the relationships did feel quite rushed, however it was still enjoyable. all of them had very unique personalities and dynamics that were entertaining to watch :]

I finished watching Aquatope on White Sand this evening, It's a really nice Slice of Life series set in an interesting and unusual setting. I think that this is one of those underrated and under appreciated series.

@Ohayotaku how are you feeling about Fire Force at this point? Watched the new episode last night and I'm still happy with it's delivery so far.

I feel like it continues to be pretty solid. Glad they finally addressed what happened at the convent where Iris & Hibana grew up (can’t honestly remember if they touched on it at all since early in season 1). The reveal seemed a bit obvious, but satisfactory. I actually didn’t mind the humor in Arthur’s “quest” since how strongly he believes his delusions is key to how powerful he is. Was glad to see Vulcan & Lisa get some more screentime. Didn’t even remember the kid though (Yu? 😂) The way things ended with his parents left a bit of a sour taste though

guess it’s a good thing he’s too much of an “idiot” to take it personally

And looks like we’ll get a confrontation between Shinra and

Sho

as we head into this cours end. Hope we get some of the awesome fight animation we got in earlier seasons.

I watched The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes today. It's a movie I've wanted to watch for a while but I finally managed to find a UK Blu-ray release. I wasn't really sure what to expect from it.  Possible spoiler below.

Spoiler

I thought it was going to have a sad ending, and for a while it looked like it would, but it didn't.

Overall I thought it a very good movie with a thoughtful and well thought out story line.

Watched the first 3 eps of the Yaiba remake on Netflix last night & found it surprisingly enjoyable. I can see a lot of modern anime fans being put off by it’s cartoonish character designs & humor (think pre-Z Dragonball), but the quality of the actual animation is top tier thanks to WIT Studios (famous for their work on Attack on Titan & Vinland Saga season 1). Given past experiences it’s unlikely to hold my attention long term, but a cour or two of retro vibes with modern production values might be a fun diversion/change of pace.

After a lot of thinking, I decided to start Naruto Shippuden. I really like long animes since I tend to overfamiliarize with characters. Please recommend me long animes! I detest harems tho so please recommend well 😛

I quite like long anime series as well. The longest animes in my collection are Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, You're Under Arrest and Fushigi Yugi. All very different types of anime and all enjoyable to watch.

I'm not so keen on the current trend of 13 episode series, I find I've only just got to know the characters and the story ends.

Oh my gosh!! YESSSS!!! That's what I mean! It's frustrating. 25 eps I can live with especially with many seasons. :D

You're Under Arrest is a slice of life series set in the present day and centres around the lives and activities of two young female Tokyo traffic police officers and their friends, family and fellow police officers. It's a highly enjoyable series. The stories are a nice mix of crazy action, serious drama and just about everything inbetween.

Don't underestimate that little patrol car, it's a highly tuned mean machine.

Was going to see the early premiere of Dandadan season 2 at the movies tonight, but they’re saying might have severe weather, so will wait until tomorrow.

Natsume's Book of Friends.
I watched this by accident and ended up staying with it. Now it's becoming a favorite.

I’ve heard good things about the series but have yet to try it.

I saw  the first 3 eps of Dandadan season 2 at the movies yesterday & looks like another wild ride. Unfortunately ended on a cliffhanger & have to wait for the simulcast to catch up next month to see what happens next. Word of caution, it can get pretty ecchi, but anyone who watched season 1 already knows that.

the other day i watched the movie Doukyusei. it was a cute and fun watch. i'll definitely revisit it soon :D i watched another bl (i forgot what it's called, sorry!) and i enjoyed that too. i might search for what it's called later (can't be bothered right now, haha)

today i finished watching Our Happy Marriage on Netflix! it was a really beautiful series that i enjoyed. the art was lovely and i loved watching miyo grow as a character, as well as her relationship with kudo.

i've also been watching Your Lie In April over the past few days (i believe i'm up to episode 10-11?). i've only ever heard positive things about it, so i decided to finally watch it. so far, it's been amazing! the story is great and it's been making me want to play the piano more. i don't don't why i waited so long to watch it.

How have you enjoyed season 2 compared to season 1 of Solo Leveling? I felt like it got way better, especially towards the end of season 2.

Still keeping up with Fire Force and Apothecary Diaries while also catching up with Frieren.

Watching the last episodes of The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl. It started out as a bit adventure fantasy serie. but the last few episodes are cheesy romantic. It is getting so sweet that it is hurting my teeth. Dont know if i will finish
