  3. I wonder if there will ever be more admins other than our senpai~ @Optic, as far as I know, I haven't seen anyone else take a responsibility role around here.

  4. It depends really. If I'm browsing the Web on my laptop or tablet, WiFi is good enough, even for streaming. If I'm gaming, I use a MOCA connection instead. More affordable than installing ethernet in the house and very fast. Never lags.

  5. I love RPG games tbh but my favourites are quite biased because I have a PSP and DS...so I'm mainly into Square Enix games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts' games

  8. Season 2 of Overlord is proving to be just as good as the first season in my opinion, but I do hear and get what you’re saying there about it feeling somewhat less and less like the “RPG/MMO online game” genre that it first initially meant to be

  9. Wow, what a story. Well, this Cat's got your back. To start, from an objective standpoint, the "quit anime or else" approach she's using seems like a power play. I personally would not quit either, but I imagine there is a deeper story that explains a bit more of it. What were her previous boyfriends like? What were yours like? How much do you really know about each other? Have you put her on hold to watch anime before? What are her hobbies besides anime? Other than telling her she's really pretty, have you mentioned why these harem girls aren't actually your type, even though you enjoy the shows? If she's basing it completely off of looks, the fact that it's fiction versus reality won't get too far with her. These types of people base their own self worth with what society judges and nothing you say will change it. That particular problem needs counseling (similar to how a person with bulimia or anorexia needs extensive counseling to change their self image) and you might want to consider a power play of your own in recommending it. After all, anime are just stories put into an art medium. If you decide to try to recommend counseling, you may want to try couples counseling first. Since you have a history of mutual interest in anime and you have a history of trying to console her, a counseling session might help her see this is a problem of her own making. No one should be forced to be miserable in a relationship. It's not fair to you and it isn't fair to her either (even though she's creating her own misery). Though I seriously wonder if she has had eating disorders in the past. It would not surprise me.

  11. Reading that made me hungry (^_^) I guess I'll have to make pancakes later today when I get home. Honey is the best, glad to see I'm not alone.

  13. I love pancakes with honey! I also love waffles with honey and porridge with honey too! Honey goes well with quite a lot of things! Homey and lemon drink for colds, honey on chicken as a glaze/marinade, etc!

  14. If you're at all interested in space, rockets, and exploring other moons/planets then check out Kerbal Space Program. It is a "NASA sim" - engineer and build rockets, put little green astronauts called kerbals in them, and fly them to orbit and other planets. Realistic physics and engineering though, so for most people there's a pretty steep learning curve. It is rocket science. In addition to the whole, build-your-own-rocket thing, Isp, delta-v, orbital mechanics, hohmann transfers, rendezvous and docking are all part of the game. Not as bad as it sounds though, and there's lots of people streaming on youtube/twitch/etc. if you need help. There's a huge mod community too, so if you're bored with the stock game and want to put lasers and machine guns on the rockets (and planes, rovers, space stations, and Münbases, etc.) that you build, there's a mod for that. If you have a decent GPU, some of the visual mods are stunning. (Wait until you see sunrise through the clouds from orbit, or look down at the polar aurora as you fly overhead, or skim the surface of the Mún at a couple km/s. ) I don't have much time for gaming these days, but when I do, KSP is pretty much all I play. https://kerbalspaceprogram.com

  16. Currently frustrated with Amazon. I found out that I qualify for a discount on Prime, and when I tried to get it, I noticed a pending charge for Prime that should not have arrived until next year, but in the amount of a monthly payment, and tried to get it changed back, but could not without paying another $99 a month after the initial $99 payment. For now, avoid Amazon if you qualify for government assistance discounts.

  17. I have the perfect suggestion. Have you heard of Europa Universalis 4? It's on steam. It's a game, RTS style where in a given time in history you control a nation, and you manage diplomatic relations with other countries, either arranging royal marriages, alliances, and rivalries, and the main goal is of course to make your nation shine and be prosperous, so you may declare war on enemies and they may attack you too. Check some videos first if you're not convinced by what's I said. It's not that expensive either, though maybe it's a little over 30$ now, not sure at all. How you grow in this game (how you make your nation larger) is by conquering individual provinces either by demanding them in a war peace treaty or by annexing subject vassals. It's really well done, and with the mods… infinite possibilities. There's also a DLC to create your very own nation, which is extremely fun and creative. If not, there's also Age of Empires II HD edition also on steam, also a RTS game but less complicated, you make troops, build stuff, attack enemies, collect resources, you get the idea.

  19. (DEPRESSING) If I had the opportunity to meet anyone, I would want to meet with my father again, as I never had to opportunity to say goodbye. (I wasn't invited to his memorial service either) I'd probably play catch with a baseball with him and talk for a while like we used to

  22. That's great that you could write 37 pages in just a few days! I've been turning over a story in my head since high school and I only have a document of rough notes and a few pages of prose to show for it; I keep telling myself that if I wait to write stuff down I can think things over more and make it better, but it's slow going.

  24. Oh! I've seen the anime before actually but I had no idea that there was a manga as well. That really does seem super interesting so thank you for the idea

  25. You probably shouldn't go full sail right away and read the manga and watch the anime first and once you read 1 or 2 of the manga and maybe watched the series and you liked it buy more stuff on the anime like figurines etc. Considering your new to anime

  26. ^Once that one gets in my head, it doesn't go away until I go to bed! For me, the one that I most often have playing in my head, at least when there's no music playing out loud, is "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" (big surprise right). And thanks to the Netflix adaptation "Devilman no Uta" has also wormed its way into my brain quite frequently.

  27. Rewatching anime is something I do, st least when I'm able to get myself to watch stuff. I desire a particular type of show and I happen to have a anime of that type ready to watch, so why not rewatch it? That's my thinking. As for anime I've rewatched recently, I've been more focused on getting through my pile of stuff to watch. But there is Mrs Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, which makes me feel really happy.

  33. Unfortunately. I don't use Wifi or Ethernet. What do I use you ask. Once upon a time, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, there was this form of internet called Dial-Up. It is sometimes slower than a herd of snails stampeding through peanut butter but it allowed for an internet connection for basic internet things. Surprisingly enough, IRC chats work on it. Videos/streaming don't work at all. This is what I have. Whenever I have the opportunity, I prefer Ethernet over wifi.

  34. Didn't do a @#$% thing at work today. We had a "global down time" for software upgrades and network maintenance. My group had just gone through the software upgrade cycle a couple weeks ago so we were good there. We're basically a data processing center though, and with the network cold and no way to get data in or out of our systems we really didn't have much to do. Rebooted a couple systems that had been up since last year (just in case). Caught up on email. Took a long lunch. Hiked across the lab to visit some people that I used to work with. This sort of thing only happens once or twice a year so I did my best to enjoy it while it lasted.

  35. Nope, I hate singing, lol! I’m not even that much of a listening to music type of girl either, it’s not ever one of my favourite must-do hobbies every day! What a fun question! Well, I’d probably say that my favourite Clow Card is The Flower from the original first ever set of classic Clow Cards Sakura has to capture!
