  1. Depends how its done, and by whom. Berserk 2016/17 is a good example on how not to do CGI granted they managed to mess up pacing and everything else except the music and there are good examples on how to do it, like Boro the Caterpillar. It really depends on how it affects the rest of the anime - I do think that certain animation styles or art styles would suffer from having CGI. Overall I agree with Archiekun, if story, pacing and characters are well done, and the CGI doesn't look awful, like really awful, I don't mind.

  2. I actually transferred schools during the middle of 8th grade and it was a bit tough. I was just myself and didn't act like anyone I wasn't. I was a bit of a loner since all the groups had been established by then, but it wasn't all bad since I met my best friends towards the very end of that school year and was able to spend all of high school with all of them. I most likely wouldn't have met or talked to them if I acted like someone I'm not for cheap laughs or entertainment. So yeah, just do you and you'll meet people who appreciate you for who you are and vice versa.

  4. Ah yes, CGI. The stuff that makes the 3D be the go. It's very clearly a hated thing amongst the anime community, as basically everyone would prefer that traditional 2D drawn anime look. Would you prefer this 3D? Or would you prefer this 2D? Now, if you say you'd prefer the 2D image there, I'm laughing since that one is also a fully CGI anime. My opinion on CGI is this: If the story is good enough, it doesn't matter, unless it's severely impacting the flow of the show. An action series for example would need to do some great things with its CGI in order to impress me, as the CGI has to look good to really hit the action home. Example, Garo: Divine Flame Note how the CGI is actually rather good. Clearly CGI, but the action is still awesome, and I daresay it's entirely on par, maybe even better, than the 2D portion of the clip. Moving on with my earlier point though, depending on the show, a simple drama anime could be fully CGI and not even be all that nice looking, but so long as the story is great, it doesn't matter to me at all, as it most likely wouldn't be directly impacting the show in any way. On top of that point though, I'm also always trying to get people to be of the opinion that not all CGI anime look terrible by ANY means. High Score Girl in the second screenshot there is one example, as is the armor in Garo: Divine Flame. A third example is Land of the Lustrous, as it was entirely a contender to be the prettiest anime of its season. Example. So, what do you think of CGI? Should it banned from the world, there's nothing it can do that 2D can't do better? Or do you not mind it at all? Perhaps even prefer it? Lemme know.

  10. I think CGI is just another natural course a lot of media including anime is going to take more, and more. Its something we'll just need to accept weather we like it or not. Its true growing up in the 90s/early 2000s I like a lot of traditional drawn anime. Though that dose not mean I don't like newer things. The fact is nowa days CGI is simply cheaper. Also CGI is less about art style, and more about how the art is animated. For me art style dose influence a great deal on weather I will think positively on a anime, but it isn't everything story is the ultimate thing that brings it all together after all. So my answer is long as story, and art are good could honestly care less on at least a basic level how exactly it is animated. Having done both animation methods myself with various software I can say both have their ups as well as downs.

  11. Japan has the good stuff. Have you played any game from the Atelier series? If no, give it a try.

  13. Depends - sometimes I'm on an anime spree watching 12 to 15 eps per day (ofc on days off or weekends) and sometimes I watch around 5 eps. And then there are time where I don't watch any anime at all because I'm gaming or reading all the time.

  14. Certain anime are meant to be sad, so yes, it depends on the series, like in most other media. If these anime don't manage to hit my feels, they sorta failed, IMO.

  18. Dang though in some series I do this too especially if I am writing a fan fic on a anime with characters I have a particular distaste for.

  19. We can certainly talk about it together. Coding is a huge field lots to learn. I will be happy to help. One thing I will say programing much like riding a bike can't really be taught though only learned with practice. I can however tech the foundation of programing, and how programing works. Though when it comes to a specific language apart from file edit help thats something you'll pick up the more you use it.

  23. I have one tattoo and no piercings. Well, my ears are pierced (from when I was a kid), but I don't wear earrings (or any jewlery, really). I tend to stare at people with tattoos because I'm trying to look at what they have lol

  24. I want to say about the tattoo. Sometimes it's beautiful and interesting. But when a person grows older some tattoos begin to lose their appeal.

  25. Everyone has different opinions and different likes and dislikes, I personally don't have an objection to tattoos and I think some of them can be extremely artistic and meaningful, however, if someone's just jumping on the 'band wagon' and trying to be cool by getting a tattoo that is ... well, disappointing. I have the same stance on piercings. I don't dislike them and find that they can even be quite beautiful, however, as I said above about the tattoos, if someone's just getting piercings to be 'cool' I find it extremely stupid and a waste of money ... The only reason I would (probably) refrain from getting tattoos and/or piercings is because of the medical problems that can occur and the fact that they are permanent. (Mainly because I do suffer from anxiety and having something permanent that may also cause medical problems would ... well, not be very good.) I don't have any problem with anyone who does have piercings or tattoos though and I, honestly, find them very intriguing and even attractive when done the right way.

  26. Hmm...depends. Mind you, this is my personal opinion. I'm not flaming anyone for having them, but most are a huge detractant to me. You can do what you want...you're the one who has to live with it. Just wish sometimes people weren't so fast to put their bodies on display for the world to see. I know what I like and what I don't like. Remember you asked me for my opinion on them... As far as tatoos, as long as they can be covered up (I don't want to see your trampstamp or whatever - don't even care if you have a story to go with it), I have no issue with them. In fact, I've seen lots of really beautiful ones, and ones that have real art to them, but I am not interested in looking at people's skin. Most of them are downright tacky, however, poorly planned (usually on impulse) and oftentimes in places where they will end up being stretched and wrinkled to an even worse look someday. Remember folks...you won't be young and pretty and thin forever. As far as piercings go, it depends... So normal piercings on the ear (and top of ear) are fine. I can even handle having to look at someone with a piercing on their nose (side of nose only) and not think twice about it. Tongue piercings, no thank you. Eyebrow piercing, and I think you are an idiot to chance your eyesight for a piercing. Belly button piercing, nope. Bull piercing (middle of nose), I bet that's the first thing that gets grabbed in a catfight... Genital piercing, please people stop telling me about your and your SO's piercings down there. Don't want to know. Nasty. On the same level as genital piercing is ear lobe stretching with those circles. Those make me throw up in my mouth a little. Had a friend whose boyfriend had some the size of the palm of my hand. I couldn't be in the same room as him without feeling nauseous. It isn't pretty and it certainly is not cool. I have actually stopped purchasing from stores who have hired clerks with these stretchers on them (because it sickens me to see them. I'd rather shop online than have to deal with that at the register.). You can't cover it up. You have to have "surgery" to fix it. The last two I mentioned are people going to an extreme, which is rarely healthy. It's an individual decision. I just don't like most of it.
