Welcome to the forums cpt This is definitely a good forum for discussions. Must ask.... you a Star Trek Discovery fan or an Orville fan?
-
Welcome to the forums I think it is only copyright infringement if it is blatantly a copy and you are making money from it. better get a lawyer before you go live with it anyways.

Hi and welcome to the forums! I'm a bit late on the welcome, but it is genuine nonetheless so you were a digimon fan back in the day? Me too unfortunately, I Rewatched the first season last year and realized the jokes were....really bad! And everywhere.... it did not stand the test of time but I'm hoping that the new series will. You know, I also enjoy console playing. On my PS4 I recently did Horizon Zero Dawn and it was pretty good. The main quest was a bit short...but I spent the majority of my time in exploration anyhow. Haven't tried Monster Hunter, but maybe I will someday. Anyways, welcome to the forums Rocky. I hope you have a great time here!

https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/all?include_tags=461 There's a list you could start with. Kamisama Kiss is good. On that note, I'd recommend Hiiro no Kakera The Tamayori Princess Saga (not listed there) as well. The guys are all decendents of ayakashi so they are part ayakashi (and sometimes you see it more blatantly). If you want a recommendation for a good mobile game/novel based with ayakashi, let me know.

Just as Optic said, dispute it on eBay and they should refund your money. Also add a negative review for it being counterfeit. Ebay might not escalate it any further than that so reporting it to the authorities will likely lie entirely on you. Ebay is full of counterfeit goods. You'll do better using trusted retailers and vendors (though I know that the lower expense with eBay can be alluring). Remember, buying from a pirate just makes it harder for the industry to produce and bring over good anime. That' why I try to buy new from a vendor like Rightstuf (and only buy used if out of print).

Without a doubt, Rorona from Atelier Rorona. It might be her personality too, but she does have an infectious smile!

Ummm....last thing I bought was two boxes of frozen pastry strips. Already got the chicken in the oven roasting and later tonight I plan on making some chicken pastry from the broth. Yummmmm.....

Well, I'm up for it if you are interested. I have no moderator experience per say....but I do have 6 years of experience as a manager (I basically deal with, moderate, attempt to contain, etc squabbles between my technicians and other technicians, technicians and people, technicians and providers, pharmacists and technicians, pharmacists and people, pharmacists and providers, sometimes between my own manager and other providers lol...and even sometimes between people and machines (don't kick the printer, it's probably just out of paper!))....pretty much all day long, on top of the rest of my job and responsibilities keeping people alive and safe). Some of the things that I deal with at work are between some really petty people and other times what they are arguing about is actually important and serious. I figure I visit the forum every day (whether I post or not, I like lurking) and I read most of the posts as well so it wouldn't be such a detour from what I'm already doing. I'm North America based. Anyways, I'm available if you are interested. Oh, and was the perp targeting profiles who had female avatars?

It is a departure from the realism of the character. I don't appreciate it. I suppose it is meant to be unavoidable proof of being flustered by someone, but still doesn't have any real-life parallel. Just poor writing. I like to think those characters are actually flustered because the evidence of their nose picking is dripping down their faces. Ha!

I haven't played them in a very long time. Ogre Battle 64 is probably the best out there, even today. Would require you to spend a fortune on an N64 and the game to try it, but it was amazing then and still is now. So many intricate things to consider with that game. So many ways little things can change on you.
-
Grim Grimoire was good as was Ogre Battle 64 to me. Both older games.

So did the author originally until she poisoned her storylines by reading Fanfiction based off of her series (which is why the Herm Weasley romance reads like a crappy fanfic). The change greatly weakened the storyline to me and signaled the end to her originality. I can't stand to read the books anymore.

Guys and Weird Mistakes (AniMeFReaK Edition)
Beocat commented on AniMeFReaK's blog entry in AniMeFReaK's Freaky Blog
I'm just going to throw this out there... You met him in person but he was not interested in you in person...but you continued to open your personal life to him online? That is a big red flag! Let me tell you something. You need to really (and I mean REALLY REALLY) learn how to read body language. It is becoming a lost art. Too many people staring at computer screens and cell phones and not talking face to face. You have to start observing people, before you talk to them, while you talk to them, while they talk to you, when they have finished talking to you...and this is not being creepy. This is simply reading people. You need to learn the cues that body language gives you and integrate this into your communications. He was staring at you (probably with disinterest, detachment, possibly just letting his mind wander out of boredom, maybe he really does want to stare at someone else and you are taking up his valuable homeroom time to do it, who knows?) and this requires a snap decision. Either you change the conversation and see if that changes things, or you say "oh well. It was nice meeting you face to face....see you around..." and cut your losses. Oh and if you feel awkward...there is a reason for it. Listen to your instincts. Your instincts will never lie to you. By the way, if they are uninterested in you offline, then they aren't really all that into you online either. If you learn to read body language, you'll pick up on little cues, things that might tell you when a topic makes someone anxious or bored, interested or repulsed. It will tell you things they might be trying to hide from you (people do one thing and say another all the time). A little hint, that translates into writing as well. There are little things you can read in a persons's online response that will give you a wealth of information, simply by considering how they said what they said. I want to say I feel bad for you. Rejection is never easy. That being said, cut off the online contact and start ignoring him at school. Take it as a lesson learned and consider the whole picture first next time. And practice recognizing body language. It will help you avoid social mishaps like this in the future. -
I am a huge Futurama fan and if you don't like it, you can bite my shiny metal *** Heheheh. But really, I actually collected most of the seasons, and watch it at home from time to time. I also enjoy watching The Simpsons. That's about it....most western cartoons these days that are meant for adults require you to either be very high, very drunk, or very stupid to enjoy. Since I don't fall into any of those categories, I just don't bother.

Not everyone makes friends easily. It might help to become involved in some groups or clubs in your area. Some you can find on FB or meetups. Find people you would enjoy being with and try not to let your job drain your energy. Easier said than done.

Meditation and what @SAO LILDOOP said about just taking time to ponder nature will help a lot. Most technology and society is depressing. We didn't evolve in a technologically advanced world so the disconnect from nature can make one feel out of place, instinctively. We all feel this way from time to time, some more often than others. I hope you feel better soon. I find stargazing helps me as well as watching the pine trees sway. Sometimes I consider how we must be like ants in a grassy lawn when standing beneath the pine trees. It certainly must look that way from up in space.

@Sonic Whammy Robocop. The 1st or 3rd game and the Commodore 64 version of it. I recognize the red helicopter parts. Been searching for that chopper for years lol. I thought it might be when I saw the first part but the chopper parts sealed it. I don't remember it being on a clunky system but man...that is definitely the game I remember! I think she had the Agent USA game too. But since it wasn't something we could play together, we played it less. I need to get her to watch a video to confirm it. I literally only played against the chopper do it is mostly what I remember.
-
@Sonic Whammy you are an angel! I never thought to look at the Commodore for some reason! I think she might have had Agent USA because the video looked real familiar but after a glance at the top 30 games of the Commodore (and then a deeper look at Robocop), I know I finally found it! I'm going to have to collect the console and game now and bring it with me the next time I visit her. She's going to be blown away! We used to play this game all the time as kids
-
@Sonic Whammy Haha, looks like you are from a Nintendo family I was too (and Sega. The Sega Genesis I actually saved up my allowance and bought it myself as the first console I ever bought.) until the PS2 era, then I expanded my horizons and did some backtracking. What is crazy about Life Force and the NES is that even after my NES broke (it had two problems. One problem was with the motherboard causing the screen to be completely pixelated and nonfunctional, the other ended up being a fried power supply. I refused to let my parents throw it out and eventually took it to an engineering friend to fix it. Good as new Best condition he'd ever seen one in.) I continued to play the first few levels by sheer memory and music recognition until the power supply messed up. To this day, I find it amazing I was able to do that. You know, my best friend loved Pitfall too. I just never got into it...most of my games came from the few we bought (Mario games mostly) and the ones we rented from the video rental store. Whoa...I'm dating myself there. Definitely, listing by console is the best. I suppose if I included my computer in the list though, I'd have to say Darklands. It is a very very old game and really similar to a D&D type of game. I first played it when I was very young and played it obsessively for years then lost it when the computer got fried in a storm. I bought a version off of steam in the last few years though it doesn't play full screen on my computer (and it isn't compatible with my mouse. So I am very sad that I can only play it in a tiny box and with my keyboard....). Still, if you are interested in that kind of game, you should check it out. I think that it has held its allure even after all of these years. What is really weird is that my best friend had a game console that was neither an Atari or NES or SNES or Sega Genesis and we used to play this....I suppose it was a Secret Agent type of game, where one half of the time you would play as the agent shooting the criminals or maybe platforming through the streets and the other half you were in a helicopter shooting things? Maybe you were on the ground shooting at the helicopter.... My memory fails me! Anyways, neither of us can remember the console or the name of the game (I don't believe it was a mainstream console). What I would do to find it out though. That would be an amazing blast from the past. We used to play it with her doing the on the ground shooting part and me doing the helicopter fights. Teamwork at an early age. I think it had a cartridge format too....maybe.....Ugh...still bugs me over 20 some odd years later. >_> I have a feeling she had this during the SNES era... hmmm....

@Oakmi I've never had time to do that at work! My supervisors are always cracking whips and whatnot. Lucky!

As a huge collector (over 500 games and counting every year), I'd have to break it down by console. Atari.....no favorites there. I think I had one when I was a kid but it's been so long O_O I can't remember. Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).....Blue Marlin, Life Force and Gilligan's Island (great memories with both of those) Sega Genesis.....Ecco the Dolphin Tides of Time (though Earthworm Jim is a close second) Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).....Jurassic Park (great replay value, I didn't get too many of the classics in my childhood) Sega Dreamcast.....Shenmue Nintendo64.....Jet Force Gemini (I actually loved this one and again great replay) and Starfox64 (I spent months playing this) and lastly Harvest Moon 64 (and I still love it to this day) - I actually loved a lot of games on the N64. PlayStation.....Rhapsody (I collected the PSX games late late late in the game. This is probably the only one I finished. Loved it.) Nintendo Gamecube.....Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (the only game that has freaked me out so badly I had to stop playing. It will mess up your mind!) PlayStation 2 (PS2).....uh oh...too many games here. I need to look at my data file. A few favorites.... Kingdom Hearts (all around enjoyable), Wizardry Tale of the Forsaken Land, Okage Shadow King, Rogue Galaxy Xbox.....Dreamfall The Longest Journey (tragic...I love tragedies...not to mention the society was fascinating) and Psyconauts (who couldn't love that game!?) Nintendo DS.....the only handheld I will ever buy...rarely used it but.... Etrian Odyssey (loved it...so much to explore. Had me thinking of Wizardry) Xbox360.....Dark Star One Broken Alliance (loved it! Really hit that space ache), Elder Scrolls Skyrim PlayStation 3 (PS3).....Tales of Graces F (I love me some Tales games) and Atelier Rorona The Alchemists of Arland (This will always be my favorite Atelier game. Who could not love Rorona?) PlayStation 4 (PS4).....Stardew Valley (this reminded me of Harvest Moon 64 and it was perfect! All the Harvest Moon games after 64 were terrible...and lacked that simple nostalgia. Too much focus on graphics and not enough on the farm and relationships...but that's where Stardew Valley shined!) Favorite Multiplatform Game....Beyond Good and Evil (I bought this on the Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox, then as a digital download on psn later. I loved this game. I think if Ubisoft had actually bothered marketing it, it wouldn't have been missed by the masses.)

Hey all, so every now and then, I come across a song that just strikes a chord with me and an anime. Sometimes, it's with a 'ship' (you know, an anime relationship between two characters that I want to happen but might not ever see in the anime) and sometimes it just reflects the anime to me. The latest one that has grabbed me is Yours by Russell Dickerson. To me, I can totally see it as a "ship-song" between Ichinose Tokiya and Haruka in Uta no Prince-sama (my personal favorite pairing ~whimsical sigh~). Anyone else have a song that has reminded them of an anime or ship recently?

I taught myself how to use them as a teenager and have used them to eat Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese foods ever since. I don't remember it being especially difficult. However, due to some work related repetitive injuries to my hands and wrists coupled with a bad disk in my neck, I now have extreme weakness (and oftentimes pain, like today, how I'm typing now is a testament to my desire to not just stare at the tv all day. I refuse to give in without a fight!) in my wrist, hands, arms, and shoulders. While I could still eat with chopsticks fairly easily (if not pain free) now, I imagine in a few more years, my condition will deteriorate to the point that I might have difficulty holding normal utensils, nevermind chopsticks. I totally understand your precidament RSky. I'm practically there myself. I actually tried to squeeze my husband's hand to mush the other day and he just stared at me. Not even mildly uncomfortable. >_> Really sad. For rice dishes, I prefer using the scoop method with my chopsticks. Very fast. For everything else, I don't even think about how I move the chopsticks. It just happens...sort of like how your hands just move on their own when typing out your thoughts or playing a familiar video game. Didn't take long to learn at all.

Check other lots like the graveyard or Criminal Lair. I know my version, can't remember if it is #4 or not, has garlic by the thieves guild....something is out that way anyways.
